Day 273

*invisible type on* The boys are healthy, no fever, no sick, no spots, no nose bleeds - but I never said it out loud!!! *invisible type off*

More swimming today, it was great fun, the water at the pool is just right, no deep breaths as the tummy gets wet, so just right for me! Robert does a really good impression of a dog now in the water (doggy paddle) and can really get around like it, and if he concentrates he can do breast stroke arms. Probably time I got them both to swimming lessons, I'll have to check that out when we get home!

this afternoon we took the kids BOWLING - that was a laugh. Richard insisted he wanted to roll/throw the blue ball - which of course was the heaviest there, even I wouldn't have thrown it. But he was adamant that that was the one he wanted, and he did get it to the lane, but it was funny! And after using it once he went to the lighter balls!Robert decided to try throwing it from between his legs, unfortunately when he tried he somehow managed to drop the ball and throw his legs, which resulted in him landing on top of the heavy bowling ball on his tummy. That really knocked the wind out of him. Poor thing. But he didn't let it beat him, he carried on after swapping with Richard.
It was a fun afternoon.

We were going to go back to our bungalow after that and barbecue, but it was pouring with rain, so we turned right around found a restaurant and let someone else spoil us with good food!
Now we are playing on the Wii fit whilst the kids all sleep

Day 272

Remembered which day it is today!

What a start to the day, no not Robert this morning - Richard, something had upset his stomach, cause he started his day by throwing up, all over him and his bedding!
After that though he was fine, ate breakfast and nothing after that. So goodness knows what it was all about, my theory is he thought "oops, forgot to throw up in the car yesterday, I'll do it now!"
whatever it was I hope it doesn't happen tomorrow, I don't really want to go the the laundrette every day!

Robert was a lot better today so we did brave the swimming pool, the kids LOVED it. But as soon as Robert started shivering I made him get out and warm up. But then it was back in again for some sliding.
Unfortunately on about his 20th slide, he got a nose-bleed. Took forever to stop, but the life guard from Center Parcs was great, and really helped us. He got us a cold pack for the back of his neck, the coldest thing I had was a pair of trunks and they warmed up instantly.
We left once the nose bleed cleared up, we didn't want to over do it on the first day.

this afternoon we went to the petting zoo, Richard fell in love with a goat I think, he kept telling everyone it was his goat. So cute, he followed it for ages.

the kids were all worn out tonight and not a peep. With a bit of luck tomorrow we will get a lay in...!
Can't do pictures again I'm afraid, so I am going to give up on the pics and just update, I'll add the pics when we get home!
CU tomorrow - with hopefully TWO healthy kids!

Day ??? and counting! (Day 270 and 271)

Oops so busy packing I forgot to update you yesterday, so its a good job I'm allowed to use Florian's special card to go online here at Center Parcs.
So yesterday, well Robert was still running a very high fever, BUT still no spots, so we decided - after a call to Mum - that maybe he has "travel fever" (which is actually a real word in German!) and he has just got overexcited about coming away and has come down with a fever again (he did the same before we went to the UK).
So with that said it was a very quiet day, with a lot of packing but not much more. Not many pictures either, so here is one of Richard keeping himself occuppied playing a game - he even told me afterwards that he had won - bless him, he was the only one playing!!!

Now on to today -
well we got up and I had been so hoping that Robert would be better, NOPE, still a really high temperature, we decided that there are doctors here too, so we would travel, just no swimming today. BUT we did cancel the appointment we had a school, where we were going with him to register him to start school next year. The teacher said it was better not to come with him as poorly kids aren't that co-operative. So we have that appointment next Monday instead.
Once here Robert seemed a lot better, they spent most of the afternoon playing at the indoor playground. Of course they really, really really wanted to go on the things that cost money - here they are on the cars that cost a Euro, but who can really resist them, when they go on about "really, really, really" wanting to go on it!
Unfortunately once we got to our bungalow Robert's temperature started climbing again. And when I put him to bed just now it was way to high again. And he so wants to go swimming tomorrow, so fingers crossed tomorrow is better. (still no spots by the way)

OK can't spend the night on the computer today, but I will be back with pics and an update tomorrow
CU then

Mmh... for some strange reason I don't have a button to upload the pictures, so you might have to wait for them til I am back...but I'll keep trying

Day 269

Didn't sleep too well last night, everytime I rolled over I woke myself up, cause my arm hurt. However I did sleep with it above my head and the swelling has gone right down, still hot and sore, but at least I don't look weird anymore!
Florian took the boys to the playground this afternoon (they didn't want their picture taken, so this is the best I have for today)Whilst they were out, I went upstairs to get something, saw the bed and lay down for what i thought was a minute or two. Well when I came back downstairs it was 5pm and they had gone out just after 3! I must have needed some sleep.
When my boys got back from their trip to the park, I was in a better mood, unfortunately Robert wasn't - once again he is running a fever. now I need some finger crossing - PLEASE. His best friend has Chicken Pox (Windpocken), we are going away on Monday so the last thing we need is that! According to Wikepedia it can start with high fever, BUT he could also be fighting his vaccination from Thursday, whatever it is, I hope it goes over night, poor thing.

Day 268

OUCH!!! My arm!!! I was so brave yesterday when they gave me the injection, not so much today! The whole top of my arm is swollen, its HOT, it hurts and it itches!! But I'll survive, but I just feel like complaining about it right now..
So I have forgiven the boys for any whining they have done today, cause if their arms hurt only half as bad as mine, the poor things.
They haven't done as much complaining as me, and they are not as swollen thank goodness.
But enough about that.

After Kindergarden today the boys got to go to the hairdressers. They have been telling me for weeks now that they want to go, but once there neither wanted to go first, they kicked up less fuss for their vaccination yesterday! Robert finally went first, doesn't he look cuteThen it was Richard's turn, he was so tired, that this was torture for him, he cried all the way through and all the way home. At home he asked to go to bed - he was that tired, but unfortunately he never actually went to sleep. 20 minutes later he was back downstairs. But look how cute he looks! (even if he still wouldn't smile for me - at least he isn't screaming!)
OK, off to nurse my shoulder :)

Day 267

So, we got through the night with no more nightmares (for Bentonflocke, the film they saw was "Laura's Stern 2", a kiddies film with no restrictions) that stone worked its magic. Of course this morning Richard wanted a stone too, so the pair of them have been wandering around all day with their "magic stones" - and tonight at bedtime no problems.

This morning I also talked to the girls at Kindergarden, and asked them if they could talk about the film there, and I think that might have helped too.
This afternoon we all went to the doctors and got our vaccinations, the boys needed a vaccination against 6 things (don't ask me what I am not really sure) and I had my tetanus top up - long story, I tried to save a mouse from the cat 4 years ago and the mouse thanked me by biting me in my thumb, it died when I shook it from out of my skin and broke its neck....!
anyhow I asked the nurses if they could give the boys their injections simultaneously and they did. So much easier, as both found out how it felt at the same time and neither could refuse treatment! Clever me!!! I think in future it may well be standard procedure there for brothers and sisters, the nurses certainly thought it was a great idea!
And this is what the boys got for being brave boys, a germ/bacteria/virus (take your pick) and an exterminator each (couldn't find one of the exterminator. When we got back from that we had tea pretty quickly and then guess what, my babysitter came! Yep today was Pilates, and today it was without the kids. Ooh and I am so going to ache tomorrow!! But it was good, and the kids had a GREAT time too.

Day 266

So the boys had there big day today. First a trip on the bus, then the cinema, including popcorn, then another trip on the bus.
I got a full run down of the film, although I must say I am not really any the wiser...but I thought they had enjoyed it.
In the afternoon it was football training, the running did all the kids there good. This week a couple of girls joined the boys too, they enjoyed it too.

But back to the cinema, I put the boys to bed, expecting the usual ritual after football, which is goodnight and straight to sleep.
Not tonight, Robert was having nightmares about the film. And I couldn't really help him out, because I really have no idea what the film was all about. In the end I got him back up, brought him downstairs so we didn't wake Richard up, and we talked about the film, Florian phoned and he tried to calm Robert down too. I ended up getting one of theseknow what it is?
its a magic stone - a "bad dream catcher". He took some convincing, but he now has it in bed with him and I haven't heard from him since, lets hope it works.
Once I had convinced him that it would work, and that the stone doesn't let bad dreams stick to him, cause it disolves the sticky stuff on them, I had to give him something fun to think about. So he went to bed giggling about the image of riding his bike, playing football and flying a kit ALL at the same time (and with Daddy). He was thinking about creating a "kicking machine" so that he wouldn't have to do that bit but still join in the fun. Tomorrow he is going to draw up the instructions for it, and apparently I have to build it tomorrow afternoon - oh help!
But at least he was a bit happier.
I wonder if any other Mum's had problems tonight after the film, I'll find out tomorrow.
OK, I'm off to bed now

Day 265

I really don't have much to write about today, work all day, the usual there. Picked the boys up at Kindergarden, where I was greated by one of Robert's little friends "can Robert come and play at my house", so I dropped him off there and Richard and I were on our own for just over an hour. Richard as usual wanted to do "drawing, cutting and gluing"!!
The boys were extremely good when Robert got back, it helps that tomorrow is their big day! First a ride on a bus, then the cinema, then another ride on the bus! Shame I am at work, cause there will be no pictures!
Just like as so often on a workday, no pictures, but my photo model, was sort of obliging this evening. Here he is sneezing after being flashed at one too many times - sorry Sunny!CU tomorrow

Day 263 and 264

sorry about yesterday, we were busy watching James Bond, and it was late when it finished so I never got around to blogging! but I'll update you now..

Day 263 (Sunday)
We started off our day with breakfast at the "playing" bakers with friends. We had a lot to discuss as we are going away together soon. the kids all played nicely, when they weren't busy raiding the roll supply! they certainly enjoyed their jam(Robert)/nutella (Richard) rolls.
In the afternoon the boys and Florian mended a puncture in Robert's bike tyre. They thought it was brilliant, and told me all about it in minute detail! So cute.
After that we had an ice-cream, notice anything wrong in this picture...
Yep the kids had the big icecream and I got a baby one!

In the evening like I said we watched James Bond "Die Another Day" this is the Bond where one of the robots that the company Florian works for is in. It was the first time we had seen the film since Florian has worked there, so it was fun.

Day 264 (Monday)
Kids are back at Kindergarden, and I got on with housework, shopping, washing etc..
Robert went back to Kindergarden after lunch, but he only wanted to stay til 3pm so after that we went in the garden to pick some plums, and yep I did let them climb the tree! They loved that! Our neighbour got a bit worried about it, but they were pretty good at it!
After the fun had worn off and they started complaining about the tree scratching them, I got them down. We went in and played some board games then.

Day 262

We had a lovely day today and it was all thanks to an article in the newspaper this morning. We only have the newspaper at the weekends and today there was an article on the local page about a new playground up our mountain - Wasserkuppe (it's the highest mountain in Hessen 950m/3100ft). We decided that as the weather was so beautiful we should go and check out the playground, knowing too, that we can watch airplanes up there and enjoy the countryside.
Well after stopping to buy a new light for the kitchen, off we went. First to one of our favourite restaurants (deep fried mushrooms with garlic dip and salad for me, something similar for Florian and sausage and chips for the boys - DELICIOUS), then off up the mountain.
The weather stayed beautiful, so there were lots of planes coming and going, which we were able to watch. But the promise of a playground had a bigger lure than the planes, so off we went. They had some good slides on the new playground, one was really really steep, but Robert loved it. Richard only went once, so it must have been a bit scary. The other things there all cost money, which was a shame. We did go on one thing, which was for the whole family. It was a car thing on a track that went down the mountain, then back up. The boys loved it, I didn't so much, I just don't do heights and downhill very well at all. But I survived. Then Florian took them both on the dry toboggan run. It was a lot longer than the one where we went when we went on the vintage railway line.

Day 261

Anyone for Little People (Fisher Price)? I spent quite a long while this morning sorting all of them out and putting them into sets and taking pictures of them all!
My brother has friends with little girls so I have sent them the pictures for first choice before I put them all up on Ebay, so if you can afford the postage the things themselves aren't expensive, drop me a line and I'll send you the pictures!;o)
We picked Florian up at the station in the afternoon. He has had a mole removed from his back and can't go to sport or swimming so we went to the DVD place and got a film out. Bad choice again, I cannot recommend "Knowing" with Nicolas Cage, as my Dad would say "good acting" (meaning really bad story line and film in general). Oh well, better luck next time.
On our way home from there Robert spotted a playground, so we stopped and let them play there for a while, here they are on the sand climbing frame.CU tomorrow

Day 259 + 260

I took a break from blogging yesterday - I forgot! oops, so here are both days in one.

Yesterday was a bit of a weird day, it started off with Robert refusing to say please to Richard at 6.45am, and keeping it up for 45minutes . Then work - no comment! Picked Robert up from Kindergarden he was still in a weird mood, but it was back to Kindergarden.
Well his friends Mum wanted some help with setting up their new computer. and the night before she asked me why Robert was staying at kindergarden til 4.30pm, if I was to get him at 3pm, the kids could play whilst I help them.
well at quarter to three I phoned to say that I was picking Robert up and on the way home we would stop by. But guess what, they put their boy to bed and he was asleep. grrr, cause I now had Robert home early wondering where his friend is, plus they came here and made my place untidy..not as bad as it sounds, but I was still annoyed!
Well, they came round at just after 4pm, and they are totally computer illiterate, they didn't even know how to double click. I am so not used to that, I deinstalled the virus software that the laptop came with installed the one the salesman had sold them. Registered it, got them an email address and that was it. If they thought I was going to teach them, WRONG! I told them that the community college has lots of courses starting now....

Whilst we were waiting for them to come this is what Robert got up to!

Now on to today.
I got the ironing done this morning, and cooked a roast dinner for the boys and me this morning. Robert has asked me since dinner time three times, when he can have that again, so i think he enjoyed it!
At 4.30pm it was the first football training of the season for the boys. They don't have a trainer yet for them, but someone is helping out til they do. And he was good with the kids. Had them all totally under control. They played concentrated for the whole hour. it was great!

This picture is funny though. they had to run to the ball and kick it to the goal, well Robert needed more running than the rest for some reason! Too cute!He is the little blue dot on the right!

Day 258

Work today, so not that much interesting to report. After we were all back home, we wrapped up and went in the garden and picked some of the plums (the lower layer of them) The boys thought it was great fun. They even tried them, and loved them! Took some convincing though before they tried them.

Here they both are jumping to the higher plums to get them down.Tomorrow I will probably let Robert climb the tree to pick some more! We'll see.
CU tomorrow

Day 257

Silly computer was playing up and that is the reason I am late posting this. Firefox, just kept crashing again and again and again. In the end I run a thorough virus scan on the computer, which took 3 hours, so no blogging last night.
But now about Monday.
Well, first of all, Mum helped me dye my hair, it is now quite a dark reddish brown and not a trace of grey - when i do it myself I get everything really dirty but apart from that I still have traces of grey but this time with Mum's help it looks GREAT.
After that we tackled a very messy area of the house - the boys bedroom. Never thought to take a before picture, but this is the after picture! Before the floor was not visible! But we not only tidied up, we also took away lots of toys to either give to friends or sell on ebay. They have lots of "Little people" and have now definitely grown out of them its time for them to find a new home!

In the afternoon we took the boys to the furniture store - doesn't that sound like a fun outing! The boys loved it, they have a large ball pool there for kids to play in. They had a great time jumping in, burying themselves in the balls and kicking the balls around. Then we went to the "play-bakers" as they now call it, where we had a hot chocolate and the kids could carry on playing!

In the evening I went to Kindergarden for a meeting with the principal from the school Robert will be starting next summer. She was just telling us, what the kids need to be able to do, by the time they start school and what they can do to help before then. Well ,one of the things they do offer is German lessons, and I would be fooling myself if I thought Robert wouldn't have to go, so I asked what they were like, and last year there were 4 in the class and it is more like playing than a real class. It will start in November if they decide on Sept. 28th when they meet Robert that he needs it. We'll see.

Day 256

I'm late posting, and guess why - cause we went to the Cinema last night!! Mum and Dad came up for the day and Mum is staying with us until Tuesday, really because I need a babysitter tonight as there is a parents evening at Kindergarden. But as she was there yesterday already we got to have a "date night" - We went to see "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock, it was a great laugh, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Didn't take the camera there so no pictures of date night.

But I do have a nice one of the boys with Pop on their nature trail - yep, they went on another one, this time they took Pop along with them. They are so cute, they couldn't wait to go and show Pop all the creatures and stuff in the forest.
Mum and I stayed in and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Well, so far the naughty chart is working, just a stern look at him and then in the direction of the kitchen is working. Fingers crossed he decides that being a good boy is a much better idea!

Day 255

Uff, what a day! Robert showed himself from his worst side this morning, and it was all going so well too. Florian was on the floor with both boys playing Lego, actually helping Robert build his airplane and Richard was quite happily playing on his own next to Daddy. Robert gave up on his airplane and passed it to Daddy to help him. Then the next thing we know is he is over by Richard and stamping on what Richard had built - he got sent straight to his room.
And I got busy making up a "naughty chart", then I went up to him and explained to him, that if he got 10 sad faces on it, then he would NOT be going to the cinema, when the rest of Kindergarden went.
It is so difficult at the moment. I hope this is going to work. When we eventually let him come back down, I showed him the chart hanging a very prominent place on the fridge door in the kitchen, and told him that I wished that he wouldn't fill it up.

in the afternoon Florian gave me a break and took the boys out on a nature walk in the woods. They took there spotter's guide books and a plastic bag each, and went on an adventure. They came back with so much to tell, it was so cute, and so much in that they had collected. But the best bit, was when Robert looked over my shoulder at the chart on the fridge and said "Mummy, I am not going to fill that up, I'm going to be a good boy now" - I hope he is, cause my nerves can't take much more.

Anyhow here are some pictures from their outing, first spotting a tree!

Day 254

It's Friday, and Florian is back home. As soon as we had picked him up at the station and got home, he took the boys out on their bicycles, and I got a couple of good pictures of them.Robert is having problems at Kindergarden I got told again today that he is misbehaving, not listening and ignoring the girls there, so I hope that if Florian has a word with him it will help. Cause nothing I say is helping.
Although I did tell him at bedtime that I was going to start a "naughty chart" and if it filled up, there would be no cinema with Kindergarden, I think just the threat of the chart might work this time. I know that you should really reward good behaviour, but that isn't working at the minute...I hope we get through this phase soon!

Day 253

Well, remember that today was the day, when I get to go to Pilates and the babysitter comes and plays with the boys....
You forgot...well so did the babysitter!
So at 6.25pm I grabbed the boys made them promise to be good and quiet (it helped that Nanna promised them a present if they were good for Mummy) and took them with me.
And they obviously really would like a present, cause they were little angels. They watched for about 30 minutes of the hour, then very quietly did there own version of sport. If they hadn't needed the toilet half way through they would have been perfect!
Pilates, I am now waiting for the muscles to start aching, I could tell whilst doing it, that these were muscles I never knew I had... I'll let you know tomorrow just how bad it is!

I had a different picture picked out for tonight, but then Sunny my model came in, with another present. So I grabbed the cameraCU tomorrow

day 252

Not much to tell about today, work this morning. Robert back to Kindergarden this afternoon and Richard and I went shopping - we had to, we had run out of just about all the essentials! (bread, apples, meat, cheese...) All is good now, and Richard tried one of the apples as soon as we got home!

When we went to pick Robert up, all of the neighbours pigeons were sat on the roof opposite us, I thought it would be a different sort of picture for today, seeing as we did stop and watch them for a minute or so!but I think I need a better zoom, or I should have cropped it before posting. too late now, nearly time for bed!

We played dominos and pairs when we got in, then it was time for tea and bed.
A boring sort of day, but nice anyways

Day 251

Not much to tell about today, up nice and bright and early then kids to kindergarden and me to work!
Picked up the kids, and walked home. They played with one of their friends on our way back home, so we were a bit later in than usual.
The boys had had something called "Kirschmichel" with Vanilla sauce for lunch, which is basically cake - I don't believe in cake for lunch, so I cooked at teatime today. We had sausages and noodle salad. Yummy.

and this evening I did my workout, watched a bit of TV and have been scrapping (not got very far yet, still looking for a picture, and that is my pic of the day.CU tomorrow

Day 250

After our fun weekend (see post below) I got all caught up on the washing, whilst the kids were at Kindergarden. Robert started the day off very grumpy, cried at Kindergarden because he had to go back in the afternoon, why he started crying about it at 8am I will never know.
When I picked them up for lunch, he still didn't want to go back, but at least he has stopped screaming about it, just begging now. Didn't get him very far, he went back, under a bit of protest, but when I asked when I should pick him up, he wanted the later time...I don't think I am supposed to understand that!

Richard and I did more cutting, drawing and gluing - indoors, cause although the sun was shining again (it went missing over the weekend) he didn't want to go out in it!

This is Richard with his purchase from the souvenir shop yesterday, he is now our official ticket inspector! So cute!CU tomorrow

Day 248 and 249

What a great weekend we had! We went to visit friends further up north of Germany, we were supposed to go in May, but I was ill then, but this time we were all healthy!
We met up on the motorway on Saturday morning and from there went to a special indoor playground - it was special because not only did it have all the usual things, but also an indoor water rollercoaster. Richard declined going on that one, but Robert loved it, even if he did get a bit wet!
We spent all afternoon there, then it was back to our friends place for a barbecue - yummy!

Sunday (Day 249)
We had a yummy breakfast together, then we all set off into the Harz (a German range of mountains) to see a steam railway line and trains. We got there just in time to catch the last train before lunch, the boys LOVED it (well, we all did really). We got the train up a mountain, to where there was a dry toboggan run, another thing the boys LOVED. Going fast downhills and me, just don't go together, so I didn't go on that, but it was no problem 3 adults, 3 kids, everyone got a ride!
After that we spent a few pennies in the souvenir shop, then it was back down the mountain on the train. The last train we got on, we sat outside, right behind the engine, so we were in the steam from the engine, it was great fun.
Back at the station we found a cute little restaurant for a delicious meal, then it was time for us to head back home. The boys slept on the three hour drive home, they were exhausted from all the fun we had!

Friday, 4 September 2009

Day 247

No problems with Robert and going back to Kindergarden after lunch today. He ate up quickly, so that we wouldn't be late, and look, my boy is growing up, I actually let him walk the last bit of the way ALL ON HIS OWN! (Wasn't "I" brave!)
He was so proud of himself, Kindergarden is the building at the top of the hill, he has to walk to the left of the building and go in from the other side, so I couldn't actually see if he made it, but the girls at Kindergarden knew he was coming on his own, so it was no problem.

He was only there until 3pm today (closes at 3 on a Friday) which was a shame, because somewhere around 2.30pm Richard fell asleep watching a cartoon on TV. He opened hi eyes at one point and then laid himself down properly, but when 3pm came and time to pick Robert up I couldn't get him to wake up. I couldn't get Mum on Skype either, so I had to carry him to the car, where he did wake up. If I had got Mum on Skype she would have watched the sleeping beauty, and if he had woken she could have told him, where I was and talked to him for the 3 minutes it would have taken me to get home. Next time!

Day 246

today was a much better day than yesterday! Although it was touch and go, whether it would be a repeat of yesterday!
After 30 minutes of screaming and begging from Robert (cause he had to go back to Kindergarden again after lunch) I phoned Mum and Dad up, mainly to keep me sane, but I put Dad on the phone to Robert and he managed to calm him a bit, and get out of him what may (or may not) have been bothering him. Something about them not doing anything different and all they did was drawing and he didn't want to do drawing. So I promised him I would talk to the girls there and that he would be OK. And he stopped crying and went calmly back to Kindergarden.

Well, once there I did ask about the drawing and I think he was just unlucky that the days he had been back were drawing days as in 2 weeks they have only done drawing 3 times...
Today they played a game with dinosaurs and something where they had to build something against a timer. Both things that were for older kids only, so when I picked him up, he told me he had had a LOT of fun. Oh good. And he also said that he does want to go every day now. It pays to stay tough.
I know going will be good for him, if for nothing else it is more exposure to German.

So the other good thing to happen today is, I found a babysitter!! Yep, as of next week there is a Pilates class starting in the village and I really wanted to go, so I asked one of the students that volunteered at Kindergarden in spring and she is willing to sit the boys and play with them whilst I work out! So Thursdays the boys will be late to bed, (course goes til 7.30pm) but I am sure they will love having a babysitter, I know I used to love it, when Mum and Dad used to go dancing!

And as the boys were much nicer today I did take their photo today!
Took some convincing to look at me for the photo, but they did for just this one!

And last but not least I was CT of the month at DSO for August, that is nice too.

Day 245

Uff, what a day! Luckily my cold is slowly going away, so I was able to cope (just about)!
Robert is if you remember now a "Vorschulkind" meaning he starts school next year and it also means that Kindergarden give them a little extra tuition in the afternoons, so today as he isn't poorly and we weren't going anywhere, I wanted him to go back to Kindergarden after lunch....Well he didn't want to go, and he certainly let me know about it. From picking him up at Kindergarden at 12 until I dropped him off there again at 1pm he screamed and shouted at me and cried. That is AN HOUR! At about 12.45 he realised that I meant business when I said I was taking him back whether he had finished his spaghetti or not, and paused in the screaming and shouting for 5 minutes to eat, carried on the snivelling though.
It was unbearable, but all it really was, was emotional blackmail. Well not with me. I dropped him off at Kindergarden still screaming and crying, but the girls there understood, that I couldn't give in to his will and after about 20minutes I think they said, they had him calmed down again!
And when I picked him up at 3pm (not as if I left him there for a long while) he actually said, that he had fun! Grrr!
It was exhausting.

Unfortunately it didn't really get any better once he was home, even though his best friend came round.
But enough complaining, here is today's picture, something pretty, didn't want to take a picture of the boys today, so its another sunflower picture.CU tomorrow

Day 244

I am feeling a lot better this evening, taking a day of rest and relaxation, plus a good nights sleep has helped a lot. Still got through lots of tissues, but I feel better! As for poor Robert his mouth is still looking bad, I hope it starts looking better soon, it hurts me to see it, let alone what it is doing to him. Luckily he likes the medicine (another one that tastes like sweeties) and as for gargling, well, at last Mummy says "yes, spit it out"!

One of my models came in this evening laid down next to me, and look he staked claim to the remote control (actually cuddling it)! Men!!!
