Well, today Florian tackled the washing machine problem and it is still a problem, we need a spare part that no one seems to part up with.

Day 30
Didn't take any pictures throughout the day today, I did take the camera shopping with us, but I didn't remember that until we were back in the car. So no pics of the kids pushing little shopping trolleys today, another time maybe.
So instead I got Florian to take a picture of "bedtime" today. This is our daily ritual, a story before getting into bed. Today it was "Skip's big idea" from the Bob the Builder Annual. A riveting read - nearly up there with Twilight. (just finished the whole series! I thoroughly enjoyed it!)

Day 28
Richard is 3! Wow it seems like only yesterday when he was a tiny baby, and then it seems like he has been here for more than 3 years surely. Know what I mean!
We had a friend of the boys round to play, not a big party this year, and I think that is what Richard wanted, he certainly seemed very happy about it all.
Here are the three little terrors (mine are to the right!). They posed for this picture, and believe it or not, pictures of the three of them are the only ones I took today. I don't know what it is, but their birthdays are the days I take the least photos on. This morning when he was unwrapping presents at 6.30am, I didn't have the camera upstairs - bother, not that they would have let me take any, and the rest of the day I was busy keeping them happy.
Big family party for Richard on Sunday, so I'll try to get some pictures then!

So I had a rough day today, won't bore you with that here, if you fancy reading about it, its on my "other" blog. Here I'll just so you what we did this afternoon to keep us all feeling happy.
We played one of the games that Robert got for Xmas - my apple garden. You have to spin for your turn and then are allowed to pick the apples. A very simple but fun game!

Day 25
I decided whilst taking the picture today, what I was going to post. Robert with my brother - Uncle Lee.They were being silly and having a great time making silly faces at me. It was hard to choose which one to post, I decided to go with the one where they both were making silly faces!
They must be related!
Oh and in case anyone is wondering - I have finished "new moon", two more to go. But I am savouring the feeling of the second book for tonight, before I start on "Eclipse" tomorrow!

Day 24
Well, I have been told to "get my nose out of my book and blog"! So here I am! Florian even got the pictures off of the camera for me, I just needed to decide which one for the blog. He took one of me reading, but I'll leave that up to your imagination.
Instead I have this one for you of my boys and their cousins, having the time of their life this afternoon.
They kept making us jump and then couldn't stop giggling! So cute they were.

OK, now back to my book,

I LOVE AMAZON! I had to shout that out, I ordered some books yesterday just before lunch time. And not 24 hours later the books are here! And that is WITHOUT ticking the box for Express Delivery! So woohoo for Amazon and the Deutsche Post (german post) and here is what I got:
I got part one of the series for Xmas and just had to have the rest... And not only did Amazon deliver quickly and in English, the books were also 3 euros cheaper per book than in our local bookstore!

Day 22
What a day for me! the boys had their first full day at Kindergarden, this will be regular on Thursdays from now on, as I may or may not be teaching kids English on a Thursday afternoon in the future. Well, that left me today with an empty house from 8.30am til just after 4pm. Wow, it certainly made a change.
So what did I do.. I decided that as Richard is turning 3 next week, it is about time that I dismantled his crib, he was only in it for the first 3 months of his life, so it has been stood around for quite some time now. Here it is now, stood in the utility room, waiting for my husband to come home and help me put it up on top of the garage!
By the way the crib is 40 years old this year, it was my husbands. Since then most of his nieces and nephews have used it, and both of our sons.

Day 21
Well, today I took the boys to the bakers, those of you who have been reading about my life for the last year or so, know about our bakers - for the others, we have a baker near here, that has a play area with go-kart, scooters, cars, bricks, slide and other toys for the kids to play with. And no one expects them to be quiet and still. An ideal place for us to go when the weather doesn't allow for outdoor play! They wear themselves out and I get a good cup of cocoa (don't drink coffee) and a croissant or brezel.
Speaking of Brezel, here are the boys with theirs :O)

Before I forget I have three lovely bloggers to thank for this award, thanks goes to Vanessa, Jennilyn and Tami. thanks girls, I love your blogs, pictures and stories too!

I now have to list 5 things I am addicted to, so here goes (this is not in the order of addiction, I'm equally addicted to them all!)
1) digital scrapbooking
2) photography
3) my family
4) chocolate
5) apple juice
And now I have to pass it on to 5 other bloggers. So without going to see, if you already have this award, I am passing it on to
Jan (intensemagic)
Angel
Iris
Emily
Jane
And that was my little trip around the world, mmh no one from down under on my blog list, I think I need to put that right, anyone got any tips for me?!
And now for today's photo. I chose this one of my boys doing cutting and glueing this afternoon. I have to go out tomorrow and get another stick of glue, we had a bit of fighting going on, cause I only have the one stick. Much better on my nerves, if I give in and just get another one!

Day 17
Richard's Birthday Present arrived today (it's his birthday on the 28th January). Well, once the boys saw that Posty had brought a HUGE parcel, there was no stopping them - "Open it Mummy, Open it"! I knew that Richard would be excited about the present, but I didn't expect this:
Sat in his new car seat with his huge box of Lego bricks - building. He is actually telling me here that no I can't take his picture, he is too busy!! I think he likes it!

Day 16
I think come February I might have to change my title posts, at the moment it is easy to work out which day I am on, but even that I have to check on the little computer clock, I'll never get it right come February!
So today Robert was home again, only this time, I did not devote as much time as he would have liked to him, but actually got some housework done. And bless him he helped me and hoovered their play room.
I just had to get his picture!
But there was still the afternoon to go, and I got another photo I want to share. My in-laws Xmas present for them arrived - more Lego, only a bit more advanced this time. This is them when they found them in the kitchen.
We all had fun making them this afternoon. Robert did his all on his own, he is so proud of himself, he would have taken it to bed with him if we had let him. (I'm proud too!)

Day 15
Well, poor Robert is still poorly, the antibiotics are working on his tonsilitis and clearing it up, BUT he now has bronchitis! (the tonsilitis is bacterial, the bronchitis viral) So it was another day spent indoors (after our trip to the doctors)
They both played Lego, but I think their main aim was to fight oneanother for whatever the other had built - so lots of screaming! I did get a great shot of Robert screaming, but I decided that I saw that often enough, that in the evening I would want to see something more pleasurable on my blog.
So I took the camera in the bathroom this evening for bathtime! And I got this cute shot of the two of them in the bath

Day 14
Not a lot to tell you about today, the same as yesterday really, Robert home from Kindergarden because of his tonsilitis, more lego playing. He made Richard a different train, with Richard's lego. But Richard wasn't as pleased about it as Robert thought he would be. Richard took it straight to pieces! Better luck next time!
I took this picture this afternoon, when Robert took his Lego behind the couch to play with it.

Day 13
So today I have a picture of the poorly boy (Robert), who on this just looks cheeky, and not very poorly at all - the antibiotics must already be working their magic!
Anyhow, from this picture you can't actually tell, that he is on the "naughty chair", I caught him spitting on the lounge floor, not sure what he had planned it had something to do with a matchbox car though. So I sat him on the naughty chair to think about what he had done wrong. But instead of that, he just kept grinning at me. He spent a little while on there!
Don't tell him, but he is a cutie!!

Day 12
Well, the picture I would have loved to have taken, I couldn't. Robert has tonsilitis, and the doctor showed me just how spotty his tonsils look. That would have summed up my day just right. Then i thought, I'll take a picture of the medicine and thermometre, but that didn't look right either. So I have this one of Richard instead. Just look at the concentration here. He really made his own aircraft. So cute!

Tomorrow I will get a decent picture of Robert (pale as he is) he hasn't featured much here yet, but then again the year is young!

Day 11
So Robert, my eldest (4) is poorly, he has a high temperature, but with the Nurofen he gets enough energy back, to talk the hind legs off of a donkey! Anyhow there was no sledging for us all today. But I did take a break this afternoon and went for a walk over the fields with the camera and this is one of the many pictures I took.
this is the beginning of a huge bonfire. On the first Sunday after Ash Wednesday our village has a huge bonfire to chase away winter, I think the theme is, it is called Hutzelfeuer for all the Germans reading. It is where all the Xmas trees of village will be burned. It is a pretty chilly event, but I think this year the kids will really enjoy it! As always in Germany most events are accompanied with sausages and drinks, so we won't go hungry or thirsty when we go and watch!

Finally an outdoor picture!!! It hasn't actually warmed up in the least, BUT Florian is home and we braved the elements and kids together! And took them over the field for a bit of sledging fun. We left it a bit late going, so the sun was going down and the full moon was already shining (I'll have a layout of that on my other blog, later on, I think! (done it!)) hence the lighting. But the boys had such fun and made us promise to take them again tomorrow!

Day 9
Another freezing cold day spent indoors playing. The boys didn't really want their picture taken today, but they did want me to take pictures of their toys and help me do it. So I obliged, I mean these toys are a part of my every day life, so why not feature them in my project!
So here are two of the cars from the film Cars. I have no idea what their names are. My boys call them all "Queen" as in Lightning McQueen, I do know that he is red though. Richard was playing with him at the time and did NOT want Robert to take the cars picture at all!
He wanted me (and Robert) to take a picture of James, so here is James from Thomas the Tank Engine!

I took quite a few photos today most with the project in mind, but the one I like best is the one I took first of all! HOME! On a crisp clear (but icy cold) day!
I was on my way to pick the boys up at Kindergarden, I thought I might get some shots of them playing there. But as soon as they spotted me, they were at my side, no chance for a decent photo.

Day 7
Well, today was the first day, where I actually had to remember to take a picture. It has been so cold here that other than curl up in the lounge in front of the fire, we haven't wanted to do anything else. Although "curling up" is really the wrong word. We were in the lounge and we were in front of the fire, but we were doing jigsaws, playing cars or such.
My main concern of the day, was making sure the log fire didn't go out, so I thought this was the best picture for today!
By the way it was -25°C (-5°F) this morning. Although it did warm up to -10°C (14°F) BRRRRR!!

Day 6
Well, the blackbirds didn't come back today - do you think they had a hangover?! ;o)
It was a FREEZING cold day today so once the boys were at Kindergarden, Florian and I put the log fire on and enjoyed the warmth it gave off. Along came Sunny our cat and joined us. Just look how relaxed he was! (Poor thing, he doesn't like the cold either. In fact after not using the cat loo in years, tonight at -15°C (5°F) he came straight back in and did his business in there. Luckily we were in that room at that time and could clean it straight away and give him some fresh cat litter!)
Anyhow, back to the photo for today:
(oh our fire is behind bars, to stop the kids from getting too close to it, although we are thinking that we might take it away soon, we think they might be old enough to be careful now - famous last words?!)

Day 5
Well, the plan was to get a great shot of the drunk blackbirds in our garden, but everytime I got near the window with the camera they spotted me and flew away! But they were fun to watch, they were feeding on the few apples that are still in the garden, at the moment buried under the snow, and they must be fermenting, cause the birds looked so drunk. Lots of belly-flopped landings and one even fell off of the wall we have by our window! So funny!
But as all I got a shot of was a dirty window, I am going to post this fun one instead. Richard and I built this Lego lion this afternoon with a Lego instruction that is at least 35 years old. But hey it still does the job - thanks Mum for scanning it for us!

Only just finished reading up on the Project 365 and decided that "hey, I can do that - I did it in 2008!" Only this time I will take on the difficult task of choosing my favourite photo of the day and posting it here!
So here goes
Of course this one is my favourite from the first of January, seeing as it is the VERY first picture of the year, taken dead on midnight!!

Yesterday's photo would have to be this one of Richard watching his Daddy's new digital photo frame

And todays photo, am I really only allowed one?! With the boys both having their haircut today, and refusing to have their picture taken, it will have to be one of each of them!
