Day 334

Holiday is over now - I took the kids to Kindergarden with Florian and then I took Florian to the station, he is off to Belgium this week, and then I went to work. So not much to report about the morning.
I picked the boys up at Kindergarden, and for a change, I wasn't greeted with the words "can we play on the Wii" no, it was the other words that I don't like hearing "Mummy, I've got a headache"! Yep Robert is ill again, he went without lunch, put himself to bed instead, and slept for 2 hours, got up for weewee and then actually went back to bed! His temperature was sky high again, so guess where we will be going tomorrow!

He got up at just before 4pm, I was going to wake him at 4pm and we just watched TV then, and slowly he started feeling better, even asked to play Wii, but I decided against that.
We did go and write their Christmas List for Santa, and then they put it outside in our letterbox, with the flag up so Santa's helpers know where to find it. Last year they left it on the doorstep, but it was raining today so the letterbox seemed like a better idea. Don't they look cute!
So, when Santa's helpers pick up the lists, they leave Advent calendars. Mmmh, this year the boys are not only getting a Bob the builder chocolate calendar, my parents have got them a Playmobil advent calendar. I got them out this evening to put them where the helpers would leave them. I got quite a surprise when I unpacked them, I had to build 24 tiny boxes and sort the pieces into the boxes, build most pieces up, it honestly took me 1h45mins to get the things built! Gave me a good giggle, and I hope after all the building the boys will be pleased with it!
Off to bed now,

Day 333

Busy but fun day today. First of all, we went to meet our friends at the bakers. It has been ages since we had seen them, so it was fun to catch up again, and this time we made sure that we made another date to meet again, before a year passes again. So in two weeks we are going to the Xmas market together.

After the bakers we went to see a model railway exhibition with the boys. They thought it was great. Then we thought as the exhibition was right by the railway, that they could have a ride on the real train. But before one left we had about an hour to kill, so we went to the Xmas market, where I had a crepe and the boys got a ride on the merry-go-round.

Then it was back to the station for the boys and Florian to catch the train. I got the car and drove three stations down to pick them up.
Florian took these shots of them on the train.Back home they watched Madagascar (again) then played on the Wii (again) whilst I tackled the ironing - Florian needs some shirts for work tomorrow -holiday is over, sniff...

Day 332

Thanks girls for the lovely comments, unfortunately I didn't sleep that well (I dream too much, and I even managed to mix scrapbooking in with the dream, so perhaps I scrap too much too - nah, can't scrap too much, can you!?). Florian did let me stay in bed a bit longer though, so that was good.
Dinphy, Bentonflocke, I'll be in touch, so that I don't have to talk in code on here...

We went out to the camera shop again this morning, they got us a lens hood for our camera, and we could pick it up today. After that we went to the bakers for lunch, we haven't been for a while so the boys thought it was great fun. I wonder what they will think, when we go again tomorrow (meeting an old colleague of Florians and his family there tomorrow).
Once we got home all the boys wanted to do was play on the Wii, but we had a different idea, we went in the barn and got the Xmas decorations down, and started decorating the lounge ready for the first advent tomorrow.
I let the boys build up the crib, don't they look cute doing it, and they did it really well too.
This evening we had a pizza and I started working on our Xmas card, I have one done, but I have a feeling I will be making at least one more...

Day 331

We had some strange news this morning (can't go into any detail on here) and we do not quite know what to make of it, and it has had us feeling a little (maybe a lot) out of sorts. So to take our minds off of it, we took the boys to the cinema this afternoon. We went to see "Niko, das Rentier" (Niko, the reindeer). It was cute, but also a bit scary, so I am now hoping that the boys don't have nightmares about the wolves that were chasing the poor reindeers.
Here we are at the cinema, still have to get used to how it focuses with the flash on, only Robert is really in focus, but never mind, I still think it captured the moment.CU tomorrow

Day 330

A busy but fun day today. Got the boys to Kindergarden on time - Robert was making something with his group today and had to be there by 8.30am AND in old clothes. I think he quite enjoyed wearing his holey jeans again!
We went straight from there to our shopping centre, Florian needed various bits for his project in our pigsty! We also got a few other bits, we didn't actually set out to get, some winter boots for the boys from Aldi, 2 new thermostats for the radiators, 2 smoke detectors, 2 childrens snow shovels - hihi I wonder if I can send them out without me when it snows!

When we got back, we had someone come around to give us a quote on what it would cost to redo the kitchen cupboards. It sounds as though we might just be able to afford it, he'll be back again sometime next week to work it out exactly.
In the afternoon we got out the first few Xmas bits, cause I need some photos for Xmas Cards, here is one of the many we took (saving the best for the cards...)- luckily you can't tell just how much Robert and Richard would have rather been on the Wii!

After the photo session Florian took Robert and Richard to their football practice and got some good photos there too(Robert in blue, Richard in white)

And after football, we went to the Chinese for a meal. they do a really nice buffet, and the kids eat for free. It was delicious

Day 329

Woohooo! We are now proud owners of a new camera!! No picture of it, as we don't have a camera to take one of it! hihi! We got a good deal on camera, external flash AND they gave us a good price on our old camera and old flash, so we are REALLY happy!
And yes we were pretty snap happy this afternoon too, but I won't bore you all with the many many test shots.
I'll just show you my favourites from today
Richard and his Nutella moustache
And here they both are, hiding from the camera, whilst putting on their shoes!
And here my other model - Sunny having a good clean

This morning the boys had another German lesson. Richard joined in from the beginning this time, and from the looks of things, both really enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching them, hearing them talk German, makes me so proud of them.
This afternoon Florian went to the hairdressers and the boys and I went to friends, where I helped make the Xmas cards for the Kindergarden teachers and the boys played with their friends.

Oh and I nearly forgot to mention that this morning we used the steam cleaning thing we borrowed on our bathroom. It was really good and we now have a sparkling bathroom top to bottom. Well almost the thing decided to stop working, just as I was about to clean the floor with it., I hope that it will decide to work again tomorrow, a bit embarassing to give it back no longer working....!

CU tomorrow with more pics from our new camera!!

Day 328

Work for me today, so not much to report about me.
Robert and Richard were both at Kindergarden all day, and all went well there, no complaints of earache. Robert did have a couple of nosebleeds, but that is probably from the nosespray he has been taking, that does happen.

I got home just after they did (went shopping on my way home) and they opened the door, and before I was even in they were asking if they could play on the Wii!! We made them wait until we had unpacked the car. Then the boys played on the Wii, and we chatted. Florian had been busy in the pigsty (yes we have a pig sty, but no pigs!) installing lights, well, getting all the cables in the right place.

This evening Florian went to sports and I have been chatting to Bentonflocke on the internet (great chat!) I also realised that I hadn't taken a single photo today, so here is what we did for today!

Good job photos come without sound, cause I was squealing and giggling, as Florian was actually tickling me in my side.CU tomorrow

Day 326 and Day 327

Sorry, I will try not to make a habit of posting 2 days together. Yesterday we went to mum and Dad's and was late back and exhausted. Well I was.
The day started off fine, we were all excited to be going to see Mum and Dad, cause we hadn't been for a long while. Mum and Dad have been renovating, so we decided we were more help if we weren't there...
Unfortunately in the afternoon, Robert got earache, the mean Mummy that I am, I didn't actually believe him to start with. I did do all the right things, I made him a steam bath (a salty one) to inhale, to clear the passageway from nose to ear. Made him blow his nose over and over again, but it wasn't helping, he was really clingy, crying all the time. So in the end I phoned my SIL to bring some medicine when they came round. She suggested putting hot chopped onion in a towel and holding that on his ear, that did actually start to work, and after about 30 minutes he wanted to go to bed. So yep, he really was poorly and not just trying to get out of Kindergarden. He then slept for nearly 2 hours.
By which time my brother (and the medicine) had arrived. We all got some great presents from my brother, who had been to China again. The boys got some t-shirts and some micro-transformers
Here is Richard playing with hisAnd I got a really pretty bracelet.
After the paracetemol Robert started coming around again, and we stayed until after tea.

This morning I had to work, but Florian is on holiday this week and he took Robert to the doctors and yes he does have an ear infection, but if he takes his medicine he can still go to Kindergarden. So Florian took him straight from the doctor to Kindergarden, much to Robert's disgust. Although he did enjoy it once there.

this afternoon we went on a shopping expedition. We are going to buy a new camera this week and wanted to see which camera shop would give us the best deal and to see whether they would take the old one in part exchange. And they will, so tomorrow, we may well be the proud owners of a new Canon 450D with a 18-200mm lense, fingers xed!

here are the boys on that shopping tripI really love this photo of them, definitely needs scrapping, but you'll have to watch my other blog for that!

Day 324 and Day 325

Was really busy last night, making a Quickpage for a blogtrain, I had forgotten about, and which started this morning at 6am, so I had to put blogging on hold to get it finished, packed and pre-posted in time. I did it though, even though it meant a late night!

So yesterday we finished clearing out Richard's clothes, so much in his drawers that no longer fits. We went to the post office to post another of my Ebay parcels to the buyer. Then when we got back it was time to launch Robert's Rocket! When we went shopping yesterday they got a magazine and Robert's had a rocket on it, that is powered with baking powder and vinegar. So in the afternoon we launched it, it was fun, it went off with a pop and flew really high. Robert loved it!
After that it was Richards choice, and so we went into the kitchen and cut out a boat and glued it on to some paper. Silly me, left them alone for seconds with the glue and when I came back, Robert had covered the back of his boat with so much glue, that we were able to stick ALL the pieces (his and Richard's) by dripping the glue off ofthe piece onto the others bits. Took forever to dry!
Robert got bored with that quite quickly and left me and Richard in the kitchen and he went and built a car with Lego in the lounge. Then he came back, and Richard was still cutting and glueing, and Robert and I played LOTS of games of UNO. At just after 5pm I let them have the TV on to give me a break.
Florian got in shortly after that, we all went with him to give the hired car back, and then we went to Burger King (another voucher) for tea.
here are the boys mesmerised by the video channel there.

Day 325
Busy day today, see this, this is our front garden now, unfortunately I forgot the before picture, but let me put it this way, you couldn't see the ground under all the dead heads of flowers and such...
The weather was beautiful today, I don't think I have ever been out in November without a coat before, but we were. Florian even at times only had a T-Shirt on.
Whilst we were gardening the boys were out on their bikes, Richard has certainly now mastered the art of starting off now, and by this afternoon he was cycling in really tight circles too.

Once it started getting dark, we all came in and had a piece of pumpkin pie each. We all LOVE it, it really is delicious. So if any of you want the recipe (all metric and European ingredients) just let me know, I can most certainly recommend it.
I wouldn't let the boys have another piece after tea tonight, so that we can take it to Mum and dad's tomorrow for them to try too. Mean Mummy!

Day 323

I had a busy but good day today. This morning the parents commitee thingy I am on, we all met here to throw some ideas around. First being what to get the Kindergarden teachers for Xmas, as we are in charge of that. We're going shopping together at the beginning of December, probably have breakfast at a cafe then too!
Next week we are meeting to make the Xmas cards to go with the presents (no not scrapping, actually cutting things out and making the card...uhoh, me and glue...we'll see)
The boys were little angels whilst my friends were here, they played really nicely in the lounge and that for about 2 hours!! Sometimes they surprise me!

This afternoon we went shopping for the missing spices for the pumpkin pie, I took the boys to the shop with the little trolleys and there too they were little angels (I did promise a magazine if they were good).
Back at home they were allowed on the Wii, whilst I made my first ever pastry for my first ever pumpkin pie. Can you tell I am proud of myself?
This is itIt smells good, and I think it looks pretty good too. Can't wait for Florian to get home tomorrow so we can try it!
And that is now the last of the half of a pumpkin from my neighbour. It went quite a long way. And today he gave me a little one, which I am taking to Mum's on Sunday for her to have some pumpkin soup...

Day 322

LONG day today, the boys were pretty good when they got up, they played without arguing in their bedroom until about 8am, so I got a bit longer in bed. We then came downstairs watched "Timothy goes to School" on TV then it was time for breakfast....
they started fighting as soon as my back was turned to make breakfast. Well, I told them both off, so Robert burst into tears, when I asked him what was up, he said "My headache is getting worse and worse". It seemed so put on to me, so I bit into the sour apple (as they say in German) and said, oh dear darling, then no TV or Wii today until our headache is better!
Mmh that didn't go down to well, but he didn't kick up too much fuss then. When I still wasn't letting them have the TV on at "Chuggington"-Time, they weren't too impressed. But I wasn't giving in, can't have them playing me! But enough about that, on to the rest of the day.

Whilst the boys were playing PlayDoh I used up some more of the pumpkin the neighbour brought around. I made some pumpkin jam - no idea what it will taste like, but it looks good! (was going to post a picture of it, but I didn't shrink it and its late now, so another time, spread on a roll or so...)

After that it was time to take the boys to SCHOOL, yep, real school for their first German class. Richard went all shy on me there, so my plan of shopping whilst they were there, didn't work out. But it was good to see how the lesson is done. The teacher really got Robert involved , and Richard did loosen up a bit after 3/4hour and join in. They played games, did a lot of talking, some drawing, all the time he had them talking. Really well done, I was really pleased and they both said that it was a LOT of fun.

In the afternoon the boys played with their remote control cars on the track, to start with upstairs, but they then decided to join Mummy downstairs, and here they are in the lounge with their tracks! So tomorrow, I am going to brave a shop with them, I have 500g of pumpkin left, and I am going to attempt to make pumpkin pie, but I need nutmeg, cinamon and ginger, never had it before, so it will be interesting! I'll let you know about it!

Day 320 and Day 321

Sorry for not stopping by yesterday evening, I got so caught up in a layout for a speed scrap, that I forgot the time, and by the time I finished my layout it was way past my bedtime. But I did get a great layout from it!
So yesterday I had both kids home from Kindergarden, both complaining by the evening about earache and Robert was coughing. Funny how none of that was disturbing when playing on the Wii! I just love our Wii, it certainly uses up some of their energy.
This is Richard explaining to me, that yes you can eat sweets and play Wii at the same time! Too cute, he is showing me his best impression of "chewing" whilst racing!
Today I took both boys back to the doctors and Richard really does have an ear infection, and Robert's ear probably just hurt cause of pressure or such, no infection there. But for his cough he now has to inhale.
And they both have to stay away from Kindergarden this week, to get their immune system back up, so they don't go back and catch something right away again.

So for the energy levels they went cycling, flying, swimming, running and racing this afternoon. Whilst I went in the kitchen and made some pumpkin soup. Our neighbour came around with half a pumpkin for us. So I made some delicious soup - shame that I am the only one here to eat it, the boys REFUSED. Would you have??So I will be freezing it for the weekend when Florian is home.
I still have lots of pumpkin left, so tomorrow I might try making jam - I'll see what Google has to say about that!

Day 318 and Day 319

Weekend again, and again a double post. Too busy last night, watching first a film "Day After Tomorrow" and then Richard woke up with earache and that took a lot of time from the evening. In fact it hurt him so bad, that it took forever for him to stop crying and we had to put him in our bed for the night. Somehow having Mummy and Daddy close makes kids sleep better. I didn't but at least my poorly boy did. And he woke this morning without earache. The magic of ibuprofen and nose spray!
But back to Day 318
I went shopping in the morning, because the boys have been ill, I have been running the supplies low and now it was really important to go shopping. All stocked up again now though!
We had a really quiet day, we played a lot of Uno, and watched too much TV, but keeping the boys from running wild was what we had planned and it worked. We watched Madagascar and in the afternoon "Over the Hedge". It was a lovely cosy comfy family afternoon.
Once the boys were in bed and after my pizza, I had a chocolate pudding, which the cat wanted to share with me!I swear he forgets he's a cat sometimes!

Sunday
I was up with Robert just after the sun got up I think (7.10am) I didn't want Robert to wake Richard up and the only way to guarantee that, is to take him downstairs and let him watch Bob the Builder or something similar.
Richard and Florian got up about an hour later and joined us downstairs. Both boys seemed a lot better today, we even let them have some fun on the Wii today.
But my favourite picture of the day is this one...
my boys all reading the "MediaMarkt" offers (electronics store). Typical boys!
During tea Richard started complaining again that his ear hurt, so now I am hoping that he can sleep through it and feels OK tomorrow, otherwise it is ANOTHER trip to the doctors for us all!

Day 317

I love my friends, can I just say that here. I had an appointment with school today and was in a bit of a pickle cause both of the kids are home sick. I phoned Robert's best friends Mum and she couldn't take them cause she was at work. So I decided I would ask a neighbour/friend down the road if she had time to watch them. And she did!! woohoo, so I took the boys round to her house and left them there for 45 minutes - it didn't take long the appointment. The boys had a great time and my meeting at the school was a HUGE success.

Remember I was so proud that Robert didn't need German lessons before school, well his German is still good enough to start school without lessons BUT he is the only foreigner/bilingual starting this coming term and they have offered him/us one on one tuition for him! Isn't that amazing! And as it really is going to be just him, I asked if maybe Richard could go along too, and he can! this is such good news to me.
My brother and I were this lucky too, and it did us the world of good, and I know the boys can only benefit from this. Aside from more German input, Robert will also already know at least one teacher before he starts school and also know his way around school too! Now we just have to hope they enjoy it too, it starts next Wednesday. I will have to change my work day again, but I don't think my boss will mind. Just whoever has to change the computer system again, but they'll live!

This afternoon I played a LOT of UNO, whilst chatting to my online friends in the states! Robert is getting really good at it, I think tomorrow we will pick the cards up to play as he is now seeing what cards I have got before he plays his!
And here is Richard dealing the cards, they love dealing!CU tomorrow

Day 316

Robert's temperature was still up this morning so Richard - much to his dismay - had to go to Kindergarden on his own. Whilst Robert stayed home with me, the plan to go to the doctors this morning didn't work out - which turned out to be a blessing. the doctor was too busy in the morning so we got an appointment for 4.30pm. When I picked Richard up at lunchtime he was coughing bad, so I decided to take him along too (had originally thought I would let another mum take him to football training), anyhow, before we left I took both boys temperatures and yep, Richards was up too!
So tomorrow I have both boys at home with me - Robert has tonsilitis AGAIN and Richard has "just" a cold. So I have antibiotics for Robert and cough mixture for Richard, its like a chemists in my kitchen!
I spoke to the doctor about Robert always coming down with it, when something good is going to happen (birthday parties, holidays, St. Martin, etc) and she didn't just brush it aside, she was very interested and is going to look into it for me. She said her daughter had a similar problem with herpes when she got excited too. She got it under control with a homeopathic approach. So I have to phone next week and see if she has any ideas.
I hope so, cause otherwise we are going to have to spring things on him and not let him count down days!
Aside from that in the New Year we will be getting a second opinion from the ear nose and throat specialist about having his tonsils out, before he starts school!

This evening Florian is here - sort of passing through on his trip around Germany - I mean business trips. He gets one night in his own bed this week, but I think he should have gone there a couple of hours ago. Whilst I have been listening to my online PS course, this is Florian!
CU tomorrow and send me some energy my way, I am going to need it with 2 poorly boys at home!

Day 315

Well I made it in to work this morning, but at 1.30 am and 3 am, I didn't think I would be. No, not my cough, Robert had a fever again!
Again right before something exciting is about to happen in his life. Today is St. Martin (see this blog post for more information) and he was so looking forward to taking out his lantern and performing for the parents. Luckily this morning he seemed much better so I sent him off to Kindergarden, sure that it would pass.
Well when I picked him up, whilst I was making dinner he fell asleep in front of the TV (unheard of normally). I woke him up for dinner, but he didn't touch it, and straight after he put himself to bed and slept for an hour.
Then he started perking up bit by bit. So I did take them to the St. Martin festivities, and Robert was great, he had one sentence to recite and it was sooooo cute! No pic of it though, cause I took the video camera instead to record his very first performance!
I did get a few pictures of them with their lanterns as we set off though, and here they are all ready to go and join the parade around the villageAnyhow we stayed until about 7pm then it was home for tea, and when I put Robert to bed I took his temperature and it is 39.9°C - poor thing. So guess where we will be in the morning.
And I am not really expecting him to sleep through the night, so I will probably be sharing my bed by the morning.

Day 314

Work today after 2 weeks off with my cough - which by the way is getting better, still there but definitely getting better! I had plenty to do, but the best bit of the day there was lunch. Because it is St.Martin tomorrow, they had goose with red cabbage and dumplings. It was delicious. Very filling, which made the afternoon quite difficult. ;)
After work I picked the boys up, who greeted me again with the words "can we play on the Wii", I succumbed, and they had a great time snowboarding til teatime.

So not much really to report today, and as so often on work days, I forgot a photo, but when I was talking to my colleague about my blog, she said, why not do a self-portrait... so here it is - me!CU tomorrow

Day 313

Today November 9th, is the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Berlin Wall, I did a layout about it this evening and wanted to share it here. I did a lot of journalling on it, it was quite therapeutic, so if you want to read it, you will need to click it to enlarge it.

So what else is new today, a day of washing today so nothing to report that won't bore you there. When we picked Robert up from Kindergarden this afternoon, his first words were "Can we play on the Wii?" well it has been raining all day here today, so we did play for an hour. They thought it was great that Mummy was joining in. We did some car racing and snowboarding, it was fun. But after an hour I turned it off, and then the boys started work on their letter to Santa - no I'll rephrase that - their BOOK to Santa.
I think they cut just about everything out of their toy catalogues! Going to be difficult this year for Santa to get it right!
Here they both are busy at work.

In the afternoon Florian took the boys out on their bikes, but both were really tired and didn't last long. So when they came in again, we all played UNO - only I didn't get on the photo! ;)(oops got the wrong photo, I have one where Richard doesn't look so grumpy, oh well its late this photo stays, sorry Richard!)

Day 310 and Day 311

Well Dinphy knows me well, yep, a double post, cause we had to save the USA with Jack Bauer first! We finished it all tonight and yep, all is safe in the States again, thanks to Jack Bauer. But back to my update.

Yesterday I rushed to the shopping centre to take back the lights for the lanterns that I bought on Thursday. Of the two I got for the lanterns one didn't work, and as I need two the same, I took them both back and got two new ones. Whilst there I picked up Xmas presents for the boys - Playmobil, one will be getting a lorry with a crane on it, and the other a conveyor belt thing for a building site. The toy store had 20% off of everything, so I had to take the opportunity.
I rushed home then to be in for 10am, when the man from the fire firm was supposed to be coming to replace the glass in front of the fire. Well I was there at 10am, but he didn't get here until 11.30am. It took him over an hour to replace it. So at midday I had to leave him on his own and again rush to pick the boys up from Kindergarden. It looks much better now, it isn't all cracked!

Richard was a bit upset in the afternoon Florian didn't get home until later and Richard was not happy about it. But when we did pick him up, we went out for tea - well, we went to McDonalds, I had some vouchers for 2 for 1 happy meals, so we took the opportunity, the boys thought it was great. Since MCD took their veggie burger off of the menu Florian doesn't enjoy it that much, but he is a good sport!

In the evening we of course watched 24!

Today was iDSD (international Digital Scrapbooking Day) so inbetween playing on the Wii and such, I have been surfing the sights and doing a little bit of shopping, got a great kit to scrap the Wii pictures with (Technophile by Lliella)! Unfortunately my internet connection was REALLY slow today, so it was difficult getting around..
When I was tidying up the other day, I found some money that Florian got from his colleagues when he left his last firm nearly two years ago..! So today Florian spent that and now we can play on the Wii ALL together. We had great fun, bobsledging, ice skating and car racing against one another. The boys thought it was great fun.
Here I am helping Richard choose which character he wants to be...he can't hold the remote quite still enough to pick the character, racing and such is no problem, in fact he was best at ski jumping!!This evening we finished up watching 24, so I should be a bit more on the ball blogging next weekend!

Day 309

First of all, cough is getting better, I only really notice it if I try and run or something silly like that. So no running just yet!
Today I had problems with Robert going back to Kindergarden again. He started crying in the middle of dinner that he didn't want to go back, because of the drawing. And he didn't want to sit still at the table, he likes playing on the floor. When I had an answer for all of that, he tried to tell me that the other children laugh at him and his drawings. So telling him that he still had to go, but that I would talk to his Kindergarden teacher. Well, turns out that no one laughs at him, it was just a ploy to stay home. At 5 he is already scheming, didn't work though!

After Kindergarden I taught the boys to play UNO, we need some more practise, but they enjoyed it! Then after that it was time for football training. Yep different day for the winter, cause they are now training indoors. And boy was it noisy there. On a field outdoors the noise is not contained, but in the hall, wow - NOISY!
But all the kids had a good time. Here they are actually playing a game! Robert is the one in bright blue! And Richard is the one on the left in bright yellow with black sleeves! Off to bed now

Day 308

I had a different sort of afternoon today. Robert went back to Kindergarden and when I picked him up we came home and the boys did some puzzles in their books (spot the difference, how many, mazes and such) then we got a phone call. Robert's friend wanted him to come to play, I asked if Richard could go too and woohoo he could. I could have stayed too if I had wanted but I made up an excuse about ironing and got an hour to myself in the middle of the afternoon. The boys had fun and I did too!
I picked them up just before tea-time, I took two torches and they had great fun shining them all over the place when we walked home in the dark!

I took this picture of them, when they were supposed to be putting their shoes on to go to Kindergarden after dinner. Richard looks as though he is trying to strangle Robert but he is actually saying - Robert, my baby...! and Robert couldn't stop giggling...It was so cute!CU tomorrow

Day 307

*invisible writing on* I think the medicine may be working, it has started wearing off now, and I am coughing again, which means it was working through the day...fingers xed!*invisible writing off*
So today I took it nice and easy and did what the doctor told me, in the hope that my cough will be gone sooner rather than later..The boys were at Kindergarden all day, and I enjoyed my me-time. I got a lot of scrapping done, so be checking my other blog in the next few days - not now, off to bed as soon as I have finished blogging here.

When I picked the boys up at Kindergarden, the first thing Robert said to me was "Mummy, Mummy, can we play on the Wii when we get home??" I decided that it was probably a good way to get rid of some excess energy (he was bouncing on the spot when he asked) and here they are doing "racing cars"

Day 306

Doctors appointment this morning, to test my lungs, well it was no surprise to me, seeing as I am still coughing, that it wasn't as it should be. So I am now off of the inhaler (allergic to the drops I was using...) and now I have a spray to breath in. Wish me luck, that I don't react to that - I've had one dose and so far so good!
I'm signed off again from work, have to get rid of the cough first she says, and I agree, I'm certainly not myself with all the coughing, its exhausting. but enough complaining about my cough...
and on to complaining about the aliens that have replaced my boys again!!! Yep full moon tonight, and the boys have been little monsters all afternoon! Hopefully tomorrow, the aliens will return my boys! Please!!

this is Richard at tea time, when he insisted he have a kiwi with his sausage meat sandwich!! Oh well, I suppose it all mixes in his tummy anyways!Off to bed now

Day 304 and Day 305

Oops seems I am posting in twos too often, I promise to improve. Saturday night however was "girls night out" again. I went out with my two best friends from my apprenticeship. We were really lucky though, we went to the restaurant without booking a table. It is a really big place so we weren't really worried about getting a seat. Well when the first of us got there, she got the last not-reserved table for us. Phew!
We had a delicious meal and great conversation. It was a great evening out for me. And apart from having too much energy at bedtime the boys were good for Florian.

In the afternoon Florian and the boys were out in the garden getting it all ready for winter. Florian cleared out the greenhouse, whilst the boys raked the leaves. Here they are sat in their "racing car" eating ice-cream - yep, apparently the leaves made a racing car. And they were in the garden, and what do we eat in the garden - ice cream, regardless of the weather!! too cute!
Today my best friend came to visit. We haven't seen her for ages, and it was a great day. We took her to a restaurant we had never been to before, and it was really good there. The inside of the place was really impressive, the food was good, and the company was great. After lunch we went for a walk in the beautiful countryside. Whilst walking we got to talking about our Wii, she had never seen one in action, so when we got back home, the boys showed her how it works. We had a great laugh. One of my new favourite games is bobsleigh, you have to sit on the wii-board and steer with your bum! Too funny! (and good for the tummy muscles, so I might play more often, as I could do with some tummy muscles!)

today's picture is of the halloween sweets that my friend brought for the boys (but I get to have some too), it looked really pretty, some is already missing on this shot though, the boys made sure of that!CU tomorrow
