it was weekend again, so time to play catch up!
Day 87 - Friday
I got held up at work today, it was my last day of work this month, so I had to have my hours in the system, so that I get paid mid-month. Mmh I saved 5 minutes for that task, as I was busy all morning. Too bad, that someone had closed the project that I was supposed to be booking my hours on. Oops! Took me a good 15 minutes to determine that though. Luckily the boys were still at school, and I made it home before them after all. And that it seems was the most thrilling thing of the day, cause I can't remember what we did in the afternoon, and I don't seem to have taken any photos either to jog my memory! Oops!
Day 88 - Saturday,
now Saturday I did take LOTS of photos! First of all, we went shopping, well I went to the shops and Florian to the doctors for some blasting to his ankle. Then whilst out I suggested we go into town with the kids and the camera and take lots of pictures for Robert's folder all about Fulda. (hoping that it gets him extra points). We had a lovely time in town and the weather was amazing, the sky on the pictures really was that blue!
The plan was to start wallpapering in the afternoon, we were just about to start and we got a phone call from Heike inviting us round for cake on the terrace - who can resist that excuse to stop the wallpapering! We certainly couldn't!
Day 89 - Sunday
We didn't start the wallpapering in the morning, Florian went to sport and then the doctors again, and I got on with the weekly washing! But at 2.30pm we did start!
We got the room half finished, so next weekend we should finish it all! We're getting there, good thing the boys are complaining yet!
The boys spent the afternoon in the garden, and woohoo, look at Robert's back when he came back in -
covered in very itchy spots - Ring any bells! Yep its March again, the first rays of sun are out, and Robert has a rash. This time I did not head to the doctors to be told that "we have chicken pox again", this time we googled "grass fleas" and yep we are 99.9 % certain that is what poor Robert is reacting to!
Day 90 - Monday
Clocks went forward at the weekend, and oops we overslept. My inner clock works perfect, too bad that the clocks changed, we were an hour too late up. We rushed our breakfast and I still got the kids to school on time! Then it was off to do some early morning sport with my friend. On our way there, I got a phone call from school. A teacher was worried with Robert's scratching, was I really sure it wasn't catching! YES!! I suggested cooling his back and promised to ring after my sport.
After sport I actually went to the chemist to get something else to put on the spots to stop it itching, then deciced to drive straight to school to put it on and put poor Robert out of his misery!
Too bad it didn't work as planned, an hour later I had a call from school, that they were sending him home on the next bus!
Just as I was expecting the bus, I got another phone call, Robert had missed the bus, and wanted me to come and pick him up! Grrr, third trip across country to school!
When I got there, though I was able to do Heike a favour and pick up her girls, who had also missed the bus. Whilst there I arranged with the guitar teacher, that all kids take their guitars home with them, as I really didn't need another trip to school to pick them up! That worked thank goodness!
Robert was still scratching the other cream wasn't working well enough for him. Heike had some stronger cortisone cream and sent that round for him!
In the afternoon both boys went to the girls to play, with strict instructions NOT to roll around in the grass, we don't need more bites! Robert's trousers are green, so I am not sure that he did stay out of the grass, but he didn't have any new bites so not a problem! Just more washing!
Richard had Karate this evening, Robert was home as I cancelled his football training. Hopefully tomorrow all will be back to normal, I don't want to be drving back and forth again!
CU then!

Day 86
My friend phoned this morning and I gave her a lift into town on my way to work! I love that she feels comfortable enough to ring me, that made me really happy! I love village life, can you tell?!
I was busy at work, and it was quite challenging too, so the time just flew by, I can't remember time at work EVER doing that since I restarted working after having the boys! It was 11.15am before I looked at my watch - wow!
I didn't have to rush home cause Richard had already invited himself round Heike's today. I had yesterdays Lasagne leftovers, still yummy the second time round!
After lunch, I had half hour and then off to sport I went (with my friend of course), we were on the machines today, and I can already feel most muscles, so goodness knows how it will feel in the morning! When I got home I checked Richard was behaving at Heike's and then went and picked Robert up from school, he hadn't got football training today, but I thought it would be nice of me. And he was really pleased to see me, and in a good mood, so it was a good move. When we got home however he went straight out to see his friend and play.
So really I didn't see much of my boys at all today, so the best bit of my day, was reading to them at bedtime.
Oh we had a little bit of a panic, when another friend phoned to say her kids had headlice, so I had to check my two. Not really sure what I was looking for, but I didn't see anything moving and I haven't noticed them scratching, so I think we are OK - phew, cause apparently that would mean a week off of school until it is ALL well and truly gone. My poor poor friend!
OK, now for a photo, I haven't taken any today, so I'll see if the cats are obliging?! They were sound asleep, so no problems there!

Day 85
I kept Richard home from school again today, but he was a lot better, and tomorrow all will return to normal - well as normal as it can be with us!
He wanted to type on the netbook this morning and I let him after a while though I remembered the test he is writing tomorrow and we did a bit of revising, which didn't go too well. I then told him that to revise it would be a good idea to copy 5 questions and their answers down. I said he could type it or write it out, that was about 10ish I think, he refused and sulked until just before Robert got home from school at 11.45 and then he went into tantrum mode! AGH!!!! I had to phone Mum to stop me from screaming!
After lunch he calmed back down again enough to do his homework and then I set him back on the task of revising. I think he realised then that I don't back down.
Robert had a football game this evening I managed to find him a lift, as Richard had art school at the same time, and as he was feeling a lot better I took him there! Heike came with us, and we did our shopping whilst Richard was being creative!
I sorted all the clothes I bought back from the flea markets today and the baby clothes are now on their way to the children's hospital here in town, where they need them. I'm really pleased about that, now to find a good home for the bigger clothes! If I can't there is an old clothes collection for Brasil in a weeks time, and that is where they will go. Whilst I was giving things away I also found a taker for the boys old curtains. A friend of mine loves her sewing machine and is always making things (bags, clothes, etc) and she loved the 70s swirly pattern, I can't wait to see what she comes up with for it!

Day 84
Richard and I headed to the doctors at 8 this morning and we were in and out with in 30 minutes. Not bad, especially as we had been told to expect a long wait. The doctor saw Richard and he "just" has a bad cold. Thank goodness it isn't tonsilitis.
After the doctors we did a bit of shopping for lunch, Richard managed to convince me to get silly things like chocolate and donuts - I am such a soft touch sometimes!
Robert finished school earlier today because of the Mini World Cup Championships. He was really disappointed that he wouldn't be going to it, but I really couldn't take Richard there, and I certainly wasn't going to leave him home alone all afternoon. But one of my friends not only offered to take Robert there, but also to get him to his typing class in time too. He was over the moon.
It was his first typing class today and he practiced before he went to watch the football.
Whilst he was practicing on my computer, Richard was writing stories on their net book. When I looked over he was surrounded by cats too! Cute!
Unfortunately our team "Croatia" didn't win this time, so we won't be going to the final - such a shame, Richard and I had such great Croatia T-shirts! (But I did send them to the semi-finals today for other kids to wear!) And I suppose we can support England, Germany and Croatia this summer!

Day 80, Day 81, Day 82 and Day 83
Catch up time again! Left it a bit late this evening, so it might be a bit rushed, cause I want to watch Silk in a minute! OK, so here it goes
Day 80 - Friday
Work in the morning, I finished all I had to do at about 11.30 and that was good, cause that way I could head across town and pick up the boys new glasses! They were really speedy getting them ready for us, we only ordered them on Tuesday evening! I was unsure whether they would let me have them without the boys being there, but it was no problem.
And here are my boys in their new glasses.
And now to remember what else we got up too - oh dear, I can't! Nope, not true, I remember baking bread, but as I hadn't got any bought flour, I had to use, what I had had someone grind up for me. It gave the bread a completely different texture, but it was still delicious, but Robert unfortunately didn't agree! Richard seems to be coming down with something he wasn't with it for most of the afternoon, but when asked if he was alright he said he was fine, so I wasn't sure!
Day 81 - Saturday
Robert had a concert with the music school today and we were so proud of him, you can see the video on my facebook page, but here is a picture (sorry about the red eyes).
After the concert to which we also took Robert's friend, the boys went to said friend to play and Florian and I got to go shopping in peace. We went to get some paint for the door and door frame of the boys room.
Heike and Marcel came round for tea with us, we had homemade pizza (well I bought the base at Aldi, but we did the toppings!) very yummy!
Day 82 - Sunday
Richard has a bad throat and wasn't with it at all today poor thing! Good job we didn't do much. Florian and I painted the door frame, and I think the boys spent most of their day on the tablet and mobile phone playing.
I had fun making lunch today. I found a recipe for pasta using flour that I can get in the shops, so I tried my hand at it! It seemed to take forever but it was so much fun! And delicious too!
After lunch we went out in the fresh air in the afternoon for a quick walk. Not sure it did Richard any good, but sometimes fresh air helps.
Day 83 - Monday
No school for Richard today, but his temperature was back down so we didn't go to the doctor, but when I checked his throat after lunch, I decided, that it could well be tonsilitis, so tomorrow at 8 we have a doctor's appointment.
Despite Richard being home, I was back and forth to school with Robert's guitar. His guitar teacher was pleased with his performance on Saturday, so I think I grew yet again! And so did Robert when he read all the lovely comments on the facebook post! Thank you everyone!
Richard spent most of the day being cuddled and watching TV - inbetween I did get the ironing done, cook lunch and bake some bread. But overall it was a cuddle day!

Day 79
Waited before leaving for work, to be sure that the boys bus was running and not on strike, I was in luck, and didn't have to drive them to school. Then it was off to work. I was almost in town when I came across something that I just don't encounter anymore - traffic! I blame it on the buses!
Wasn't too bad though, I don' t think anyone noticed I was a couple of minutes later than usual!
Richard came home after school today, Heike was working, I let him choose what I made out of the chicken, that I had defrosted and we had his favourite "chicken fricassee", yummy as always. Whilst Richard was then busy with his homework, I went out and cleaned my rabbit and the chickens out!
At 3pm Richard joined his friends on the playground, he was really looking forward to playing there. I picked Robert and another couple of kids up at school at 4pm, to give him a little break before he had to go to football at 4.45pm. Busy day again!
At 5.30pm I got a phone call from Richard's friends Mum from the playground. Richard was being annoying and they didn't know quite how to handle him anymore and could I come and see to him. OH DEAR, I know all about his meltdowns, and was really cross with him, when I got there. I got him out of the climbing frame he was staking claim too and sent him in no uncertain terms to wait for me at the car. Then went and talked to the Mum's to see what it was all about. Still not really sure, but I made sure that Richard new that I was upset with him. And disappointed in him. I think that hurt the most. He soon apologised and tomorrow he is going to apologise to his friends too. And I am to remind him, in case he forgets!

Day 78
The buses were supposed to be on strike this morning, so we had organised who was taking who to school. Heike filled her "bus" up and I took two extra, at least we had to be at school too today. Not sure what is happening in the morning, going to play it by ear and most definitely will not drive to work until I know the boys safely on the bus!
We were really busy at the library this morning, we managed to get all of the new books into the system for the kids, that was about 50 books in all! Nothing like a bargain!
After library I took Robert and his friend back home in the car, but we took a detour via Aldi first. Whilst I was getting the shopping in Aldi, they kids were at Lidl spending their pocket money on the funny "Stickeez" and today I have pictures for you - the boys took these as there is also a photo competition going on with them too. So they borrowed my camera!
After lunch we had another homework meltdown, Robert doesn't like it when he doesn't understand something and rather than asking for help, he fights any help he gets all the way. He ended up telling me that he would rather go to boarding school from now on, then he wouldn't have to see me! Nice one, son!
Richard later told me that he didn't want Robert to go to boarding school, cause even though he was annoying sometimes, he loved him really! I promised not to send him! ;o)
Robert had a football match at the same time as Richard had art school. I took Richard and Robert's friend took Robert. Thank goodness for friends.
Oh and I meant to post this picture the other day, when there was no picture. Robert took it of me, the crazy cat lady, when he came downstairs after going to bed. Seeing me with the cats took his mind off of whatever was bothering him and he soon settled down again.

Day 77
First thing this morning I worked on the floor in the boys room - slowly it is getting clean, another couple of wipes and we should be able to put the carpet back down again. Here you can see just how much difference I made!
After cleaning it was time for my English lesson at Kindergarden. I took some books and games along for the Kindergarden, and they were all over the moon with it all. I will probably be going by with more next week, as I am not going to another flea market anytime soon, and I still have loads of jigsaws waiting for new owners!
After English it was time for sport, I can already feel a few muscles! When we got back home Richard was already there, sat on the doorstep working on his homework - bless!
After lunch they both went to a friends together to swap their Stickeez (really need to get a picture of them, so you know what I am talking about! Can't do that now, as Robert lined them all up by his bed at bedtime!) Whilst they were gone I cleaned out the rabbits and let them have a litte run in the garden.
They are cute, but Lola is a cheeky one, I caught her grabbing the cage in her mouth and lifting it up in an attempt to escape - luckily I caught her at it and stopped her completing her plan!
Late afternoon the boys had an appointment at the opticians - we had an appointment at 4.45pm and we were in and out by 5.05pm - not bad going. It helped that I had to give Robert the drops to enlarge his pupils at home before we left. Both boys need new glasses, so on the way home we drove into town and sorted them both new glasses out.

Day 76
Woke up still feeling as though I had been kicked in the lower area, but a lot better than Sunday, so off I went on my busy Monday. First stop school with the boys and their guitars. And from there I went shopping. The boys convinced me to shop at Lidl today and not Aldi - Lidl's marketing strategy worked on my boys, and I followed suit.
Lidl are giving away weird little figures with every 15 Euros you spend or you can buy the figures for 50cts each. Each figure is packed so you can't see which one you are getting - very clever marketing.
Luckily Lidl is just as cheap as Aldi, so it doesn't really matter much - just that I don't shop well at Lidl, I always end up forgetting something important. Today it was the potatoes for my lunch! I had my fish with bread instead, but I must remember to get some soon.
Back home again, I did the ironing and I am all up to date with the washing or I was until the boys got undressed tonight! ;o)
Richard came home on the bus after his guitar lesson with his guitar - silly boy, still he and it arrived safe and sound. At 3pm I was back at school picking Robert and various guitars up. Robert is playing a concert on Saturday - so proud of him - so we were a bit later leaving but Richard survivied without us.
Then it got difficult, I don't know how mothers do it, if they are disorganised. I had to have both boys at their sports activities at more or less the same time but on opposite sides of town. I managed this week, but getting other people to take both, but I'll have to come up with a solution for next week, can't keep passing the kids round!

Day 75
Woke up this morning with a bladder infection - grrrrr! Luckily Heike had everything to diagnose it properly and the right medicine at home for me to take too. Now it just needs to go away again! But enough about that.
Florian took the boys swimming after breakfast. And I got some time for myself. I spent most of that time on the phone to my SIL. And when I had finished chatting and catching up I cooked dinner. I made a spinach lasagne today - a new recipe. It was really yummy, even if Richard didn't think so. He went round Heikes later in the afternoon and told them there that he was still hungry after dinner, cause it wasn't nice. Well, sorry Richard but Mummy and Daddy really enjoyed it!
And after lunch, I decided to bake a cake. Richard didn't try that either, cause it had pineapple in it. I think he was being awkward today! This is it from outside and inside! It was still warm when we took it round to Heike's to eat. Yummy!

And after lunch, I decided to bake a cake. Richard didn't try that either, cause it had pineapple in it. I think he was being awkward today! This is it from outside and inside! It was still warm when we took it round to Heike's to eat. Yummy!

Day 74
Florian set up the new router this morning and so far so good. Seems that the first router we got from Telekom really was faulty! Lets hope this one continues to work well. It was getting really annoying that the WLAN wasn't working in the house - and I really missed the internet radio at the weekends!
I went out at midday with Heike, we were going to sell stuff at a flea market again. This time it didn't go quite as planned, it was nearly finished and I was worried whether I was going to cover my costs! I did but only just. My total profit was €4,10 - two of which Richard spent on some Lego that was being sold there! Ooops! BUT having said that it was still well worth my while being there. Another Mum of one of the kids from Richard's class was there selling too, and she had some great books. I saw them before the flea market started and as it was for the library she gave me a pile of 15 or so Barbie books for the libray. I was so excited about. And after the flea market she came over and gave me free choice of all the other books she had with her. I have about 30 or more new books for the library now. Definitely worth being there, even if I came home with more than I took! hihi!
I am now going to go through all the left over stuff and see if I can give it away (Kindergarden, hospital, etc)
Whilst i was out, Florian was busy in the boys bedroom, trying to get the carpet backing off of the floor - looks like the turpentine idea was working. This is a picture he sent me whilst I was out.
By the time I got home, he had done half of the room - but boy does the house now smell! Hopefully airing it will clear it.
This evening we had pizza. The boys thought it was great that they got to put what they wanted on it. Very yummy!

Day 73
What a day! But it had a happy ending!
Work this morning, nothing to report from there - nothing to moan about, in fact I left the building with a smile on my face. I think the new work is good for me. I went home singing along to the radio enjoying the sunshine, and then I pulled into the lane leading to the house and saw Heike outside. Whilst I was gone I had the windows cleaned (Heike's Mum did if for us) but she opened the windows first then went to get the cleaning stuff from where ever she had left it in the other room, and oops, out went the cat! Yep, Lucky was missing. AGH!
Of course with Lucky being mute most of the time, we couldn't find him by calling and hoping he would answer. The weather was beautiful, so I honestly didn't expect to find him until it got cold - Lucky doesn't like to be cold.
The boys got home shortly after and were devastated, that the cat was gone (on an adventure as I tried to convince myself and the boys). Lots of tears, but they did manage to eat, and after lunch, we made posters which Robert distributed this afternoon. Richard didn't help, cause he was at a birthday party. But he was sure he would come home and Robert would have found Lucky.
Unfortunately that didn't happen. Robert was out all afternoon with various friends looking for Lucky, but I don't think Lucky wanted to be found.
So more tears when Richard came home and at bedtime. I really wasn't sure they would sleep. When I came down I called some more from the front door, no luck. Then I decided to check out the back, and there he was sat on the wall around the terrace looking at me. I put Smiley out of the lounge and went and got Lucky in. I had hoped he would come running when I opened the back door, but I had to go and get him, not sure if he was pleased or not to be back in.
The boys were though. I got them back up, so that they could see for themselves that Lucky was home safe and sound!
Here he is making himself comfy again!

Day 72
Work this morning, and I have enough that I can go back in tomorrow too! Richard again had lunch at Heike's and gto home at 2.30pm.
Both boys had football today, and to give Robert just that little bit more time between school and football, I drove to school and picked him up. Before I left I called his friends Dad and brought him (and his brother) home from school too.
Then at just before 5 it was time for Robert to leave for football, and half an hour later, Richard and I left too. Richard didn't really want to go, but I did. It was my first walk of the season. It was good but I already can feel that I went for a walk, somehow I found muscles behind my knees! Oops!
This is a view from my walk, I am heading back to that building, that is where Richard was training.
Ooh, I used my new toy today - I ground my own corn for my bread! And we had some for tea - very yummy!
This evening I left the boys to babysit themselves, whilst I went to a village meeting. I was half expecting them to call me and get me to come back home, but nothing happened, and I got to stay at the village meeting til the end. And that way I was able to sign up and get involved in the village goings on.

Day 70 and Day 71
Sorry to go missing yesterday - I had my first and hopefully last migraine -YUCK!! Don't want that ever again!
Anyhow I'll start at the beginning
Day 70 - Tuesday
Nice and busy as always - first on my list was Kindergarden and an English lesson. I was surprised when I got there that the kids weren't ready and waiting, but the usual Kindergarden teacher was away, and the other one had forgotten I was coming. No problem. We were three kids down, but we still had fun. This time I had a new song for them - we did "1, 2, 3, 4, 5 once I caught a fish alive", the kids loved that one!
Straight after English it was off to sport. we had fun as always, we were a bit rushed leaving though and we didn't quite make it home in time. Richard was brilliant though, he did exactly as he has been told and when I wasn't there went straight on to Heike - she was a bit surprised to see him, but guessed what had happened. I picked him up just in time, he was just inviting himself to lunch!
Back home, we waited for Robert then had lunch altogether. After the boys had finished their homework, we all went in the garden. First we let the rabbits out to enjoy the sunshine too.
Then I went out the front and started tidying up the front garden. Here my before picture
And here the after
The boys after putting the rabbits back in their homes, came and helped me. First by tidying up some of the dead bits and then I had a brainwave. I asked if they could perhaps take all the dead bits to the compost heap. So Robert got the wheelbarrow out and went back and forth and back and forth. It was a HUGE help, and I don' t think I would have finised yesterday if he hadn't helped me! Love you boys!
When we went back in, the boys had a shower and after that as an extra treat, I read them a chapter of their bedtime story (we are reading the Neverending Story). It was a bit strange showering them in the afternoon, but they didn't complain.
At bedtime it was another chapter, and then I went downstairs to relax, and that is when out of the blue, a headache struck. I NEVER get headaches, so I was a bit shocked, I took a disprin as I realised that this wasn't going away with a glass of water or deep breaths, but it just got worse and worse. Whilst on the phone to Mum I went and took my contacts out, that didn't help, then it all got to bright so I turned all the lights off or right down. But nothing seemed to help. in the end after listening to Eastenders, trying to set up the recorder for my programmes after that I went to bed at 9pm. Luckily relaxing in the dark did help and I was able to get to sleep. And this morning the pain was gone, thank goodness for that!
Day 71 - Wednesday
Well seeing as the headache was gone I was able to go to sport again. But first I had to take Robert and his friend to school with their guitars. The music teacher turned 60 today and they were playing a song or two for her. After dropping them off Julija and I went to sport. Today we were on the machines. And then we also took part in what they call "express workouts" they are on the hour every hour, and although it is only 10 minutes of training, they are definitely workouts. Both those we took part in were for the tummy muscles, I hope I don't need those ones tomorrow, cause I know they are going to hurt!
I picked Robert, his friend and their guitars up again from school, and then started on lunch. Robert didn't want the tortellini we were having with a tomato sauce, so I gave Heike a ring and asked how she did her baked tortellini, and that is what we had. It was very yummy!
In the afternoon Robert didn't want to do his homework, so that took a bit longer. He tried to get around it, by volunteering to feed the "zoo", but bad luck for him, I asked him whilst he was out there if he had actually finished "all" of his homework - oops! He did finish it though and was then able to go to Max to play whilst I took Richard to art school.
Richard took pictures of his painting and those of his friends. His is the blue/green painting - not sure if it is finshed yet or not, we'll see next week.
After art school, I took my friends kids home to her (she's poorly) and then picked Robert up from his friend.
I was a bit worried when I came down tonight after reading to the boys, but so far so good, by head is fine - phew!

Day 67, Day 68 and Day 69
Day 67 - Saturday
Florian and Richard went out to the hairdressers nice and bright and early. I didn't get a before picture and Florian still needs to send me the after picture of Richard, hint hint! I'll try to remember to add it, when I get it!
After they got back, Richard and I went to a used book flea market to see if we could get any bargains for the school library. I didn't get what I was looking for but I found 4 good books for us, and Richard chose one for himself. Whilst we were gone Florian was on the phone to the Telekom trying to get our wireless lan and such sorted. No luck so far, but they should be sending us a new router this week.
And after lunch it was off to see Mum and Dad. We were all excited about that, it has been ages since we have seen one another. We were so excited that I didn't get a single picture all weekend. Oops!
We all went to the local restaurant together in the evening but Florian and I only stayed for a drink and then left the boys with Mum and Dad to go to a friend's birthday party. It was great fun seeing everyone again. Some we hadn't seen for years!
Day 68 - Sunday
I did get the camera out at Mum and Dads, but I didn't aim it at anyone in our family. I took pictures of Mum and Dad's new tenants kids, so I can't really post them here, but they are cute kids, and a lovely family.
We had roast turkey and all the trimmings for lunch, just no paper hats, it was delicious! And Mum's tenants bought a whole cake down for dessert. The boys loved it! We left about three so that we were back in time for "hutzelfeuer" Here some pics of the occasion. Great fun as usual!
Day 69 - Monday
I won't bore you with my day today, it was basically washing, ironing and taxi Mum - the usual sort of Monday!
One exciting bit, was Robert has been asked to perform the weekend after next with his guitar teacher! I got a secret picture of them all practicing together.
And then I have a series of these pictures - Smiley loved the fact that we had our plumbing under the sink repaired again today! She is playing the the elastic that works our bin lid! Too cute! (hihi and you can see her knickers on this picture!)
OK, really tired now - Smiley visited me when Florian left this mornign sometime around 4am - so I need to catch up on some sleep now!

Day 66
Spring arrived today, after the fog had cleared, the sun came out, and by the time we went for a walk this afternoon we didn't need our winter coats! The boys wore their new waistcoats, and I just left my jacket open (can't quite believe that I don't really need it!) It's supposed to stay for the weekend - no complaints here! Here the pic I took on our walk (just me and Robert, Richard was home doing homework)
So what else did we get up to today. Richard wrote a test - he said it was "very short", let's hope he didn't hand it in too soon. Both boys went to Robert's friend this afternoon, where they went to the woods to build a den - now why does that bring back memories!?! ;o)
Me, I did some washing, shopping, cooking, etc. the usual you could say. I made two loaves of bread, unfortunately I forgot the salt in one of them, I could tell, but there were no complaints from the kids!

Day 65
Work this morning. Today I learnt something new, so slowly but surely I am getting to be able to sort things out on my own. But not quite yet, as tomorrow I am not going in, because there is no one there to help me if I get stuck. I have to be fit in everything though come June as then my colleague is going to be off for six weeks, and I will have to keep the place running! (but still only on the two mornings a week, I hope they realise that!)
I was home in time for Richard today as Heike was out. So for once since January we got to have lunch together! But it was only yesterdays leftovers. After Richard had finished his homework, we practiced for the test he is writing tomorrow, all about seasons, months and the year. He seemed to get it all right, except for the days when spring, summer, autumn and winter start - but I think he had it by the time we finished, I'll check again in the morning!
After practicing Richard went to Heike's to play with the girls, and I had a new English student come for a lesson - Robert's friend. I bought these books ages ago in the hope that I could use them for Kindergarden, but they are much too advanced for them, but perfect for this lad.
So we will be working our way through the six books until the summer holidays, getting him ready for his next school.
When Robert got home from school, after he proudly showed me his German test - a 2+ - well done Robert, he and his friend went off to play at his friends house.

Day 64
Library this morning, I got in early and put some of the new books in the system, the kids were so pleased with the new additions it was lovely! And lets me know that searching ebay is well worth the effort!
I took Robert and Heike's girls home with me after the library, unfortunately I couldn't get hold of Heike to let her know, so when we got to the bus stop we saw her husband pulling up to pick the girls up. We followed him and let him know, and then took the girls home.
Robert was in a bad mood when he got in, his music test hadn't gone quite according to plan and he was cross with himself, but he let it out on me. Maybe for the next test he will put in a little more effort, or maybe he'll learn to concentrate during the lessons, hopefully he'll let me help him for his next test.
At three Robert went to his friends house to play and Richard and I left at 4pm for art school. Whilst Richard was there, I took the shoes back that Robert got on Saturday - long story, but the short version is, that he managed to find a size 33 on one foot and a size 35 on the other comfy enough to let me buy them! Oops!
This evening I have had a nice cuddle with Smiley, but she has since changed sleeping spots, so I am able to write my blog!
