Oh dear its late and another day without a photo, slipping up again!
This morning I went to sport with my friend, as always we had a good time, wore ourselves out, but smiling all the way!
This afternoon I left the boys to get on with their homework on their own and went to the hairdressers. Should have got the boys to take before and after pictures. But really, the cut is the same, just less white now!
When I got home I quickly baked a loaf of bread, for tea. And we had to eat it hot today, cause my time plan didn'T allow for any delays.
The boys were in their beds at 7pm and promised me that they would turn the light off at 8pm. And I left for school at 7.10pm.
My babysitter cancelled last night, so the boys got to be BIG boys and babysit themselves. It seems to have worked well. I'll find out more in the morning!
Todays parents evening was for Richard and I was voted PTA again, unfortunately Heike wasn't and I have to work with a different Mum.
OK bed now! Got to get up really early tomorrow. Robert has to catch the 6.50am bus in the morning. His first lesson is at 7.30am!

Day 271 and Day 272
Day 271 - Sunday
We rolled three days in to one again today, and it was lovely!
First up we had a surprise for the boys. They thought we were going swimming, and Richard was very put out, when we didn't pull up at the swimming pool. He told me that I had brought him to a "boring place", cause you are only allowed to watch here. I don't think he could quite believe it, when I told him that on Sunday mornings only kids were allowed to use the go-kart course!
Here they are waiting for the off,
and here a few once they were off!
Florian did then take them swimming and went home, finished the ironing and got lunch made. Then after lunch Robert went with his friend to their guitar concert. Florian and I couldn't go, cause we were going dancing. Sorry Dinphy no photos of that this week, we were too busy sorting out our left from right feet!
It was so much fun. I still love dancing and it was brilliant to be dancing with Florian.
It is a four week course and ant the end of it, we should be able to show off at the next wedding or so!
Whilst we were dancing Richard was out with Heike and the girls at the playground. We picked him up there after we had finished our course. And from there Florian got Robert too. The concert hadn't gone to well, not cause the boys didn't do well, but because it was at a place where no one was there to listen to musicians, they were all talking amongst themselves and no one clapped. Apparently the guitar teacher wasn't too thrilled about it either, and apologised to the boys. Such a shame, cause now neither wants to go to a concert again.
Day 272 - Monday
Weird day today. After breakfast and before he left for school, Robert developped tummy ache, mean mummy that I am, I gave him some peppermint sweets and sent him off to school (checking that he had my mobile number with him just in case). I then headed for the school library.
We had plenty planned for this morning to get everything ready for the off on Wednesday, and what happens, NOTHING, the computers chose today not to work. So I was there for the first two school lessons and got nothing done. Better luck Wednesday.
From there I headed to Kindergarden for an English lesson, that was cut short by 10 minutes, when I got a phone call from Robert could I come and pick him up, his tummy was still hurting.
At home his tummy improved so much, that he had spaghetti bolognese for dinner (even asking for seconds), strawberry pudding after that, and at some point in the afternoon gummibears and chocolate. I'd say his tummy is all better!
After everyone had done their homework, it was time for Richard's Karate, Robert had to come along too. And whilst Richard was doing his Karate, Robert and I did the shopping and then walked around the lake twice at a brisker pace than last week. Robert wasn't too happy about it, but I told him it was good for his tummy!
When we got back from Karate I had to stop in the village to take a picture of the handing over of a donation. And then it was home for tea and bed for the boys.

Day 270
Robert has had a big scratch on his glasses for the last three weeks, but before I go and get the glass replaced I wanted to have his eyes checked. Today was our appointment.
I am really not happy with this eye doctor, but I haven't had anyone recommend any yet either, they all seem to complain about them instead. Oh well. so I was there with Robert he had to read the board when we registered, then had to look in a box and by the time we got to see the doctor that was all he had to do. The doctor looked at the scratch and told us to ignore it and come back in November for our original appointment. Sounds like money making to me. If I get a prescription in November to get Robert new glasses I'll know it was just that. Today he told me his eyes hadn't changed without actually checking them himself....
Oh well, at least we weren't there for too long. Afterwards we went to Aldi and got the weekends shopping, then headed home for lunch.
After lunch, Robert went to his football game, Richard to play with Heike's girls and Florian to sport. I found a film on Amazon Prime and did the ironing whilst watching!
This evening the boys got to watch another part of Harry Potter and were most put out, when it finished at nearly 9pm that I wouldn't read the last two chapters of Percy Jackson. But a) it was a bit late, and b) I was busy watching Strictly on our new TV in the kitchen! (Florian is taking the old one down south)

Day 269
Still waiting for Florian to get home, he is stuck in traffic somewhere not too far away :o(
But I'm not complaining too much, cause I got to watch the first Strictly come dancing show. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I am now even more in the mood for our dance course that starts on Sunday!!
So I was out of the house before Robert this morning, but he got himself out of the house on time. Thanks to the cooking timer and my friends Mum! Well done Robert. I was really busy at work, but I got all that needed to be done today done, so it was a good day!
This afternoon both boys were busy making bracelets, before it was time for Robert to head to his guitar lesson. Richard stayed home alone. He had to finish his homework and then he was allowed to watch a film. He was watching Percy Jackson again, when I got home. Robert went to his friends for an hour after guitar.
And as you already know I have been enjoying Strictly. Now I hope it won't be long before Florian gets in!

Day 268
How's this for a start to the day!
And then off to school he went, and I went to work. I was really busy today and will be tomorrow, we apparently have a deadline, and the more I get done the less my colleague has to worry about it next week.
So yesterday Robert informed me that the geo caching course he was registered for, didn't start until next week and that he would be home for lunch. I decided that he had probably heard right, and told him that I would cook lunch for us all then. Well, guess what for the second time this week, he got it wrong! The course did take place, but without him :o(
I have to write another note for school now. I hope he gets his act together soon. When he then told me that there was no music lesson in the morning and he didn't have to go in til later, I didn't believe him. I phoned one of his class mates to check that one - turns out he did have that information right.
Richard struggled through his homework today and wasn't finished until gone 4.30pm. As soon as he put his pen down we went to the mall. I had a voucher that is valid from today for 20% off and hoped to get Robert a new winter coat. Unfortunately I was 10 minutes to late, as we got there a lady was at the til buying the last one in Robert's size. I was cheeky enough to ask if Robert could try it on, so that I could order the right size online.
Still annoying that it was just a case of 10 minutes!
Whilst at the mall Richard got new shoes, Robert got to long sleeve shirts and then both went and got more loom bands.

Day 267
School this morning for all of us, for the boys it was business as usual but for me it was back to the library. Just sorting today, so that we can reopen the library next week. Unfortunately there is still a lot of stuff in it from the classrooms that were refurbished, but we got the caretaker to move it all so that we could get to the book shelves and with a bit of luck by next week it will have found a new home!
Everyone got home at the right time today, so that was a relief. Robert gets home at 1.30pm on a Wednesday so we all got to eat together today, that was nice. Whilst we were eating something fell in the lounge and both Richard and I jumped to check out what it was. And Smiley had thrown Richards box of loom bands onto the floor and was just about to start eating a bracelet up. We got her out of the lounge and shut the door. And then after lunch spent over an hour sorting all the little elastic bands back into the box!
Richard didn't want to go to Karate without his friends, who had a football match, so instead of Karate we went to watch the match (Robert was playing too)
But I don't actually think Richard saw any of the game, he was in the wood being grumpy, cause I said we were having tea at the match - they had sausages there! Tough for Richard cause I had no bread at home, so sausages it was!

Day 262, Day 263, Day 264, Day 265 and Day 266
Busy weekend this was, I hope I remember all of it
Day 262 - Friday
Busy with proper work today and plenty of it, so nothing to complain about.
Once Robert got home from school, I had to take both kids out to get Robert football shoes in time for his match tomorrow. Luckily his friend who I take to guitar had another way to get there today and we didn't have to rush back to pick him up. That gave us the chance to have an ice-cream whilst at the mall!
We got some football boots and Richard got himself a rainbow loom kit. We got to guitar right on time. Richard and I then sat outside in the sunshine and he started on his first loom bracelet (and yes all the boys wear them here too!)
Florian was late home tonight and I had to send him a message that he should find his key tonight and not ring the doorbell or knock on the window to come in. Some silly idiot rang at about 8.30pm, when I opened the door there was someone stood there wearing a scary halloween mask, he growled "hello" then ran off. I may have looked tough standing at the door, but once I had shut it behind him, I was shaking. I locked the door and vowed to ignore anymore rings or such. Luckily nothing more came! Wish I knew who it was, I'd give them a right telling off!
It made the decision babysitter or not for Monday night's parents evening easier, babysitter it is, don't want the boys seeing a scary person outside!
Day 263 - Saturday
Florian had to take his car in to the workshop today, his brakes were making weird noises on his way home. Turns out there were practically no brakes left - all fixed now though. Whilst they were being fixed I picked him up there and we went shopping. Florian got a new jacket for sports whilst we were out.
Back home we had rolls for lunch, then it was time to send Robert off with his trainer to his football match and Florian and I headed for Richard's Karate presentation. Mum and Dad's drive up to watch took double the amount of time it usually does, as there was an extra amout of traffic around, but they made it just in time!
Richard did really well and he really enjoyed it too. I have more pictures, but they are still on the camera, I'll try to remember to post them in the morning! The presentation was at the mall, so we got to have another ice cream afterwards, we couldn't sit outside though, there was a huge storm and no one went anywhere for quite a while!
In the evening we all went to the Chinese for a meal. It was really delicious as always and it was fun being there with Mum and Dad, thank you for coming and for treating us!
Day 264 - Sunday
Whilst Florian was at sport this morning I was busy in the kitchen. I first baked an apple cake, then I made a pumpkin soup for tea time. When Florian got in we decided what we were going to have for lunch, so I was buys there all morning, but with Heart Radio on I was happy!
In the afternoon friends came round to help polish off the cake (they brought some round too, so we certainly didn't go hungry). It was a lovely afternoon too. Shame it ended at 5pm. All our friends left and Florian too. He has a busy work week and had to get back down south earlier than usual :o(
Day 265 - Monday
Busy busy day! Be prepared to feel puffed at the end of this post. First off I got on with the washing, Then as I knew it was going to get busy I prepared the spaghetti bolognese sauce, then at 10am it was time for Kindergarden. I only had 4 kids, but they all really enjoy it, so that's ok by me! After English I had time for a drink before I went shopping. After shopping it was off to school, this time I had an appointment with the teacher who tested Richard for dyslexia.
Well he doesn't have dyslexia as such, but he does need help. She gave me lots of tips on what to do with him and how to practice, now I just have to get him on my side and wanting to practice. Wish me luck! I waited after our meeting to take Richard home with me.
I was just boiling the spaghetti when I looked out of the window at the rain that was chucking it down to see Robert waving at me.
I opened the door for him and had two questions, 1) why are you standing in the pouring rain and not ringing the bell? and 2) Why are you home? You aren't due in until in 45 minutes. He told me that his music lesson was cancelled.
Oh dear new school new rules, obviously I am no longer informed if the lessons are cancelled! I explained to Robert that if lessons are cancelled nd he just appears home, that I might not always be there, and that in such a case he is to go to Heike. And then thought nothing more about it.
The afternoon was full of homework. Richard took til right up to the time we needed to leave for Karate.
Whilst Richard was at Karate, Robert and I went for our walk around the lake. There was a small patch of sunflowers there and we both had fun taking lots of pictures.
Then it was back to get Richard and get home quick. Heike's mum was babysitting for me and she was already here when we got in. I quickly made the boys something to eat, changed and then headed out for the parents evening.
The parents evening went on for ever, I didn't get in until 10pm.
All went well at the parents evening, I am again on the PTA, I find volunteering speeds up the parents evening, so you can imagine how long it would have been if I hadn't. All of Robert's teachers introduced themselves and I think he has a great set.
When it came to question time, I decided to ask about the cancelled music lesson, turns out it wasn't cancelled, oh dear. I assume he got confused, but when I said at home, he should have owned up, so that I could have at least phoned school to let them know he was home. KIDS!
He also forgot some homework too (it was written on the board) oh dear, not sure how to work on this now, its not primary school anymore, the teachers have other things to do, than check whether Robert wrote everything down!
When I got in, I just didn't feel like blogging, so I watched Cilla in peace and then went to bed!
Day 266 - Tuesday
Sport this morning, if I had been going on my own, I would probably have found some excuse, but I wasn't and I am so glad I wasn't, cause once there I really enjoyed myself. I ache all over now, but at the time it was fun!
Back home I tried out a new recipe, the boys were not impressed at lunchtime, in fact I had to force them to eat, neither was happy about that. So I don't think I'll be making this meal again.
This afternoon we had nothing on, but I did seem to overseeing a lot of homework again.
Richard went out when he had finished, he met with his friends and they collected conkers! It's that time of year again. He came home with a bin bag full of them, not sure what we will do with them all, but something tells me, Richard will have an idea or two!
Time for bed now

Day 261
Work this morning, and I spent most of it sorting CDs in the archive, and then when I had finished sorting them out, I had to take all the paper out of the CD covers, so that they looked like new again. If you have ever had to take a CD cover apart, you can imagine how the tips of my fingers feel after taking about over 150!! But I'm still smiling, mainly cause I know I have finished and don't have to do it again tomorrow, don't think my fingertips would let me!
The rest of the day was actually quite uneventful. I had a phone call from school and on Monday I have an appointment with the teacher who tested Richard for dyslexia, so Monday I will find out, what we can do either way.
Richard went with his friends today and spent the afternoon with them at their Dad's. Robert had football training today and he has a game on Saturday but before he can join in that we have to go shoe shopping, the sole of his football boots fell off in training - oops!
After lunch Robert fed the chickens and then was sat in the lounge, and then he called me, could I have a look at his tummy. This is what I saw
and you could watch the marks grow. We sprayed it with Aloe Vera and then he had a shower and changed his clothes, half an hour later it looked less angry and at bedtime it is almost gone -wish I knew what it was though!

and you could watch the marks grow. We sprayed it with Aloe Vera and then he had a shower and changed his clothes, half an hour later it looked less angry and at bedtime it is almost gone -wish I knew what it was though!

Day 260
Quick post tonight, I was too busy drooling over the Great British Bake Off and those eclairs, and then watching Scott and Bailey to blog earlier.
So this morning I had to go and get two gift vouchers for Richard's friends who were having their birthday party this afternoon. I haven't been to that mall for a while now, so I took my time looking around and picked up a couple of pressies for the boys too. I got Richard a book to read out loud to me, and Robert got a new bright green fountain pen. They were both really pleased with their presents.
This afternoon Richard got his homework done quickly and when he showed me his German homework he only had one mistake, so maybe having a stricter teacher is paying off - we'll see, haven't had the results of the tests yet.
At just before three I took him to his birthday party, they were actually going to Takka Tukka Land, and as it was so sunny today, they got to play in the water area too.
Robert was home alone with me this afternoon, we had the fun task of trying on all his winter jumpers, he has grown so much over the summer, that half of the jumpers are now in Richard's cupboard. Not sure whether he will want to wear them though as quite a few are green - we'll see.
After that we went for another walk together. Robert called it our "quality time" just me and him. Bless! He told me all about his morning at school, they had had a healthy breakfast and then gone for a walk in the woods, He was most impressed by the sunbeams shining through the trees and wished he had had a camera with him. That is my favourite thing to see in the woods too, so beautiful!
Ooh, my picture today is of one of the parcels I got today. I am testing things again, this time SD cards made by Samsung. I'll keep you informed.
I also had a parcel from Amazon, Kelloggs, C&A and Ernstings Family (School books, a Coco Pops dish, a Softshell jacket for Richard and a winter coat for Richard) It was like Christmas!
OK, off to bed now.

Day 259
Busy day today. Started out this morning with a trip to the gym with my friend. We got there early so that we could do some cycling/walking before the course. I wore myself out just cycling, I did 10km in half an hour. Then it was the course. Our trainer was out to give us muscle ache I'm sure, he likes us to remember him for most of the rest of the week. And even though I can already feel most of my muscles, it was still fun, and we'll be back for more!
Back home I had a message in the letter box, that my neighbour had a parcel for me! I won something else last week - a parcel full of Kerrygold products! Yummy!
After unpacking that I got busy baking some bread, so that we could sample some of the parcel at tea time. We tried the mild cheddar, very delicious!
I had to bake two loaves today, Robert has volunteered my baking skills for his "healthy breakfast" at school in the morning. Along with a loaf of bread he also said he would take fudge too. I am cheating with that one, Aldi still had some and I will be repackaging that into some tupperware, shhhh don't tell anyone!
After lunch most of the afternoon was about homework or school. For Robert I had to order three school books online, and Richard had a HUGE amount of homework. First of all, he had forgotten a sheet yesterday, then something he had done, had to be re-done and then of course he had the normal homework from today. Luckily for both of us, even though he had a lot to do, he didn't have a meltdown and he finished it all. Not until nearly 5pm though.
I then herded both boys out into the sunshine and we went for a walk. Half way around the route we had some fun taking pictures!
Back home the boys played some Lego and I finished off the ironing. Oh and Robert helped me put the double quilt cover back on my bed, so much easier than doing it on my own.

Day 255, Day 256, Day 257 and Day 258
Day 255 - Friday
Work today, not quite as much fun as yesterday for a start my boss called me to him and asked if I understood what I was doing. I thought it was a really strange question, and he eventually said, it was cause whilst I was at home they couldn't find something. I told him that I was only a phone call away and why didn't they phone me. He didn't really have an answer for that one. Sounds to me they were looking for a scapegoat, but I didn't take the bite, and just got back on with my work, which in case you were wondering, I do actually understand what I am doing.
Back home and I got lunch for us all, was nice to have to include Florian. I had to change my original plans, but no one complained when the alternative was baked Camembert!
After lunch, Robert had some maths homework, after 6 weeks holiday, he really struggled, didn't help that he refused to use paper to work out the difficult sums. We gave up in the end and postponed it til tomorrow, then headed off to the first guitar lesson and the first one together with his friend.
I picked up his friend and my friend and off we went the boys played guitar and us Mummys went for a hot chocolate at the bakers next door - very handy that!
When I got back home I had expected Heike's girls to be here, they were going to stay the night with us. They weren't here yet, but they arrived in time for tea with us.
We turned the lights out at 9 pm and I think they had a great time here.
Whilst Florian and I watched a film in the evening the cats got cozy next to me!
ooh and I nearly forgot, I won €100,- at one of my favourite clothes stores and it was delivered by courier whilst I was out at guitar!
Day 256 - Saturday
Heike and Marcel joined their girls here for breakfast altogether and after that we all headed into the village to go to the opening of the motorway tunnel. They have spent the past few years tunneling under the village and it is finally finished.
It was a bit of a rush going through as Robert had a football match that we had to get him to. Well, Florian did that, I got some peace and quiet at home (Robert went with Heike's girls for the afternoon).
Day 257 - Sunday
We were up and out by 8am this morning, not really the sort of time you want to be doing that on a Sunday, but it was the Mini Marathon and Robert was running for his "old" school. And I was in charge of the photos. And I took plenty! Here just a couple of Robert
In the afternoon Robert went to his friend, who took him to the planetarium, Florian, Richard and I went for a walk whilst he was out. Florian made friends with a cow whilst we were out!
And here he is washing his hand in the little stream there!
And my favourite picture from the walk
Robert was waiting for us when we got back, but he hadn't worried, he just called me from his mobile! First time I think he has used it for what he has it for!
Day 258 - Monday
I stopped by school on my way to shopping to drop off all the pictures I took and was there for a good 3/4 hour, as everyone was pleased to see me and had various things they needed me for. Felt good!
Then at 10 it was off to Kindergarden for an English lesson. I have one new little student and tonight is parents evening so next week I might even have more - we'll see!
This afternoon it was Richard struggling with the amount of homework, and he didn't get it all finished before it was time for Karate, but he should be able to finish it before the bus goes in the morning.
He really enjoyed his Karate, and on Saturday they are performing in the local mall, not sure who is more excited about that, me or him!

Day 254
First day back at work after 6 weeks school holiday. I was worried I was going to get funny looks from the boss people, because I had been missing, but all was fine and I actually had a good morning! It was just us girls in the office today and as we can all multitask, we got our work done and had a good gossip!
I got home without having to rush today as both boys are still at school, when I leave now. Richard comes home at just before 1pm and Robert I now know gets in at 2.15pm. Rather late for lunch, but not as bad as I was expecting.
Robert loves his new school and teachers, he came home in such a happy mood it was lovely. He was all talkative, and I didn't need my list at all. I know all about what he did in the break, a little about his new friend and a lot about his English lesson, I think that is more than I heard in the whole of the last term at primary school!
Richard had a homework meltdown, he was so frustrated with himself. He had to copy a few sentences with his fountain pen and in nice and tidy joined up writing. He spent most of the last term arguing with me about the necessity of joined up writing and his teacher never made them do it if they preferred printing. Well his new teacher prefers joined up, much to his disgust.
He really struggled, and when I heard him in his room crying and heard things flying across the room, I went up and calmed him down. I then sat with him and helped him read it properly and write it correctly. He really struggled and it took a while, but I could tell he was proud of himself when he had finished. Looks like I will be helping a lot more this term and hopefully at some point it will go click and spelling will come easy.
After sruggling through his homework, he went to play with his friends. And not long after that it was time for Robert's football training, luckily it stopped raining.
Whilst Robert was out our neighbour popped around to have a look at the thank you card I had made her, whe was over the moon with it. Whilst we were chatting she mentioned her MIL's birthday and I sold her a card for that too. Go me! But with all that chatting, I was a couple of minutes late picking Robert up - oops!
We had a lovely surprise whilst we were finishing our late tea, the doorbell rang, and it was Florian. He had been on a course and was able to come home tonight! I should have got a picture that, but instead I have a couple of my mischievious cats!

Day 253
I had such a busy morning, I'm not sure I'll be able to reconstruct it here. Be warned I might wear you out trying!
So, Robert's first real day at the new school, he catches a later bus now, most days of the week, so I didn't wave him off until quarter to eight. Wednesdays in future though his bus will leave at 6.50 am - that's going to be a difficult one for all of us I think. I'll let you know next week!
I went to school about 8.30am I wanted to pick up the thermos flask and a couple of cake trays that Mum's from the village had lent for the first day of school celebrations. And I had to drop off some of the kids art supplies. Unfortunately I am still a cake tray down, fingers xed, that the person who borrowed it, remembers to bring it back! Then off I went to Richard's class to take the art supplies. I timed my visit perfectly and was there between lessons.
I got to chat to Richard's German teacher about testing him for dyslexia, she will set the wheels in motion. It was good to hear, that if he does have it, they have extra tuition for him at the school. We'll see, what they find out.
When I had finished there I headed to the the pre-school class to take their photo. Then I headed off to the local stationary store to get Richards school books bound and to get some more supplies for him. Whilst I was there I got a call from another library Mum, could I join her at school at 11! No peace for the wicked. I had just over an hour to kill then, so I took my time shopping at Aldi, then it was back to school again to sort out the library timetable! All sorted in time to take Richard and the girls home with me!
Robert got home at 1.30pm and he actually told me quite a bit about his day at school. That list I have must be inspiring me! He had a great day, and especially enjoyed the "getting to know you game" that they played. So pleased he is enjoying it all!
After lunch he went to his friends to play but was back in time to have to join me in taking Richard to Karate. He wasn't to happy about that, but when I installed Runtastic on his phone, he started to get interested.
We walked for an hour and I don't think he shut up once, he was so chatty. And he loved the fact he could see where we were walking, how far we had gone, how fast we were going and how many calories we were burning! I may well have a new walking partner now, we'll see!
This evening I have been designing a thank you card for a neighbour and have written a friendly note to Robert's English teacher, in the hope that I can get him/her on our side and that we can all work together in getting Robert a great mark at the end of the term.
Off to bed now

Day 252
Second day of school for Richard and I was back there too. Today I was helping Robert's old teacher, hand out the school books to all the children. I was really really busy, it was one class after the other for two school lessons. And then the computer decides to not work as it should, grrrr. the scanner refused to scan, and we had to do it all by hand, luckily typing comes easy to me, and it didn't take too much longer, but it was annoying!
I didn't leave Robert home alone today, but took him with me. He was able to help us too a couple of times, carrying books for the teachers and things like that.
After a quick lunch, it was time for Robert to start his new school. First they had a church service in the sports hall followed by a short introduction by the headmaster and some music by the school band.
I think all that took about an hour, and then the kids were called up into their classes. Can you spot him here?!
Robert is in a class with some of the kids from his old class. I think he was relieved about that, and I was pleased to see a friendly face from way back when. One of the kids we had a lot to do with when he was a toddler is now in his class. Neither can remember playing with one another, but we didn't expect them too.
After school, I took the boys for an ice-cream in town. It was a bit sunny when I took this picture! But I'm not complaining!

Day 249, Day 250 and Day 251
Day 249 - Saturday
Was weird Florian not being here on a Saturday, but having said that I think it was only me that noticed, for the boys the day was much the same as any other day of the past week. Whilst they watched TV, I went shopping for weekend and beginning of the week supplies.
And then when I got back, I left them doing whatever they wanted and got my nose stuck in a book - ALL DAY! Yes I admit it, I did only the bare minimum on Saturday, but I really really enjoyed my book - I was reading "Timebound by Rysa Walker", in case you were wondering.
I did surface from my book at 4 ish, when we went to friends for our "End of the holiday" BBQ. It was quite strange going round without a salad or BBQ sauce or anything really, but that is the way it was planned this time.
Earlier in the afternoon we had had VERY heavy rain, so it was a lovely surprise that the weather cleared up enough that we could sit outside all evening!
Florian got back from his business trip about 9.30pm, that was much earlier than I expected him to be, so that was nice. And I just about managed to finish my book before he got in, I was only one page short when he knocked on the window.
Speaking of that I asked him to ring the bell so that he doesn't make me jump in future, well on Sunday he did just that and I still jumped so I guess it doesn't really matter at all!
Day 250 - Sunday
We had a nice lay in and then went round to Heike's for breakfast. I took all my Center Parc vouchers and offers with us, and after looking it all up on the internet and then phoning the booking line, we are now booked to go on holiday in 50 days time! Het Meerdal here we come. That is actually a nice way to finish the holidays by booking the next one!
Florian had a good idea whilst we were there, and we left Heike's and went to the Sieberzmühle for lunch. Another nice way to end the holidays!
We had a quiet afternoon, and at tea-time we had what Richard calls a "Pizza Film" only I made pizza rolls and not pizza. We all watched Lego Movie, love it!
Then once the boys were in bed, Florian and I watched Divergent, we have both read the books and actually really enjoyed the film, they did the book justice I think. Looking forward to the next parts now.
Day 251 - Monday
Back to school for Richard today, he didn't seem to bothered by it, He was picked up by the girls and then off they went the only difference I noticed, was that he seems to now be quite a bit taller than the girls, when they marched off down the street to the bus it looked somehow different.
I followed him to school about an hour later. I was on photo duty for the new children who started school today.
I also took the class photos for them, but I don't like to post them on here, but if you want to see my handiwork, you can check out the school website (www.schloss-schule-neuhof.de)
In the afternoon Florian left for work, and Robert went to his friend's. Then at 5ish Richard went to his Karate course. I didn't go for my walk today, cause I needed petrol and had forgotten my purse at home, so I went and picked that up.
I got to see Richard train a bit today and quietly took a few pictures of them hard at work!

Day 248
Up bright and early this morning to go swimming. Unfortunately indoor pool, I say unfortunately cause indoor pool means I have to go swimming too!
Actually it was fun today, for a start we went with Heike, her girls and another girl from Richard's class, and the water was really warm today.
Every Thursday and Friday are so-called "warm water bathing days" and yes I really could tell the difference.
This afternoon I roped in Robert's friend who is back from his holiday, for some fun in the garden! Yeah, we got to collect up all the apples - autumn started early. We got two whole sack fulls, so hopefully the apple juice place opens soon. These sacks will probably head to the forest for the animals though.
Once all the apples were collected, the boys went off to play at his friends house, and I had the pleasure of mowing the lawn. I had a welcome break when I was half way done. Heike came with her girls for an hour or so. Here is little Neele chatting to the rabbits.
After an hour they left me to finish the garden and took Richard with them. That made getting Robert to football training easier. Yes, he is back to playing football again. But with different trainers now, so all should go well now (fingers xed).
I didn't go walking today, I went home and stuck my nose in a book before I had to pick him up again!
OK, off to bed now, for one more chapter before the Kindle falls on my nose again!

Day 247
I was slightly snap happy today, so be prepared for more pictures today.
This morning I found two frames that would be great on a bare wall upstairs, but when I searched the photos, I decided I needed to take one more to print out. And luckily for me the boys were obliging (could have had something to do with the fact, that they got chocolate after the shoot!)
But worth it, I love this new picture of the two of them.
Whilst outside we fed all the animals and yesterday the rabbits managed to knock down their water bottle, so when we hang it in there for them they started fighting over it, I got this shot of them, cute isn't it.
The sun actually put in an appearance today so this afternoon we went for a walk, well Robert and I walked and Richard drove his bike.
We saw this little fellow "flying", couldn't get that picture, but did get one when it took a break on the fence.
So what else happened, well, my 2013 photo book arrived (I'm pleased with it).
A friend popped round tonight and had a little present for me, she printed out the "25 things to ask my kids after school" for me to hang on the fridge, so I didn't have to look it up each day. Now I may even get some news out of my kids for a change.
Robert had a nice long chat with his friend in Holland! Thanks Dinphy for putting them in touch, it was so cute to watch!

Day 246
Blogging early, I need to take my eyes away from "The Great British Bake Off" cause otherwise I might end up either a) raiding the fridge or b) baking a pie/cake/tart. First time I have watched this programme and its making my mouth water and fingers itch, I see a cake on the horizon....
But back to today. So I woke up with more energy than yesterday, still no sunshine, but at least it wasn't raining today.
I had to go and pick Florian's shoes up this morning, before I forget, he has had inlays put in them to help with his sore heel (heel spur is what the dictionary calls it).
When I got back, I did actually do some baking - I baked a loaf of bread, but that is now so much a part of everyday life it doesn't really combat the itching fingers! It was delicious though when we had it for tea.
Once the bread was finished I used the warm oven for lunch, we had Lasagne today, ooh I love lasagne, you can't beat Mum's recipe!
This afternoon the boys went to Heike's to play again, and I did the ironing, nothing exciting my end, so I'm going to post this photo that Heike sent me whilst they were there.
As you can see, all must have been forgiven now! Phew!
Ok, back to the final minutes of the Bake Off now
