Day 90

This morning I did the shopping for the Easter Bunny (got a little something for my nieces) and lots and lots to eat for our Easter celebrations with family!
Then this afternoon it was supposed to be football training, BUT the weather had other plans, March already believes its April, we have had sunshine, rain and hail today! And after the rain and hail football was cancelled. And it was sort of good. Once we heard that it was cancelled I gave the boys a Belgian waffle, I decided that I might get a good shot of them munching for my daily photo, well....
I'll show you the series of photos I eventually got
here's Robert happily munching on his waffle
And here he is half way through his waffle
His wobbly tooth fell out and he was devastated. Instead of being all excited about it and the tooth fairy coming, he was so upset, it took me a good hour to get him to calm down again.
And to get this photo I had to resort to bribery - "if you let me take a picture of your gap, I'll put the TV on"!The things I'll do for a picture!

Day 89

Well today was pretty eventful for a work day. Last week one of the parents from Kindergarden approached me at football training, that the council was thinking of firing one of the Kindergarden teachers, mainly because after 10 years of her working there they realised that she didn't have the "right" qualifications. This father thought that some signatures from the parents would help them change their minds. So without telling the Kindergarden about what we were up to, we got all the signatures, wrote the council a letter and took them in this morning.Well within 1 hour of handing in the letter, the poor Kindergarden teachers had had a phone call from the council about how come the parents knew when it was a top secret matter, and was blaming them for our action.
One of the other girls from the PTA was called into the office and told all about it, she then called me at work and I said I would phone the council up and put it all right there. We did not want our Kindergarden to get the blame for something us parents wanted to do.When I finally got through, the guy was really quite friendly and understood where I was coming from, and believed me when I said, we purposely kept the girls from Kindergarden in the dark, as we knew that we probably had classified information. He then told me that our action was too late, they had already decided to allow the Kindergarden teacher to go on a course and get the "right" qualifications! Phew. We will probably never know if this decision really had been made before we got involved, but at least we know that they know that we stand by their decision as we really like that teacher!
Never boring around here, now tomorrow I just have to see the head teacher at kindergarden and tell her that I put things right with the council, cause at the moment she has no idea, as she had already left when I got there to pick the kids up!

And look what I got when I did pick the kids uptheir Kindergarden pictures! Aren't they the cutest!

At about 6.30pm a thunderstorm started and it went on til about 8pm, Robert is still terrified about the thunder and was under no circumstances going to bed, whilst it was still flashing and banging. So I read 4 !!! stories before the thunder had moved far enough away, that he would go to bed.
Unfortunately the weather meant I had no tv for a while...but I got a layout scrapped for Kindergarden with the group photos, so I can't show it, but I am sure they will love it!

Day 88

So the clocks go forward and for once the kids would have slept longer than 7am (Like it said on the clock) but no, I had to wake them up, cause I had to work! Oh well, it would have been nice to get a bit of a lay in!

This afternoon the heavens opened here and it rained nearly all afternoon, so as the boys didn't pester me to play on the Wii, I did let them play! Made a change not to be asked every five minutes!
During one short break in the rain, this little fellow visited our gardenIt's a nuthatch (in German Kleiber). I love watching and determining birds, but unfortunately it is not really a hobby I can pursue with Sunny around. He would bring them home for me to get an even closer look!

Day 87

Well the clocks went forward in the night, so whilst the clocks said we were watching TV at 8am, it still felt like 7am! but the boys thought it was great!
We took our visitors to our baker's for breakfast and had a very good and relaxing time.
Our guests left after breakfast to go back home but we have arranged to visit them in the summer, Robert immediately wanted to know how many sleeps until then! bless him!

in the afternoon the boys first played on the Wii, I decided to do the ironing as this week is a short week, it seemed like a good idea to get it all over and done with.
After that we all went out into the fresh air. First we got rid of all the empty bottles at the bottle bank. Then the boys had a little bike ride, we walked along behind them. then back home, Florian "played football" with them in the garden. It was fun.

This evening I cooked something new and it was delicious and so simple. We had pasta with broccoli and carrots with cream feta cheese sauce. No packet at all, just feta and cream with a bit of vegetable stock powder. We all loved it and the chickens miss out as we have no leftovers at all! Will definitely be making this one again!
We are watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire now, so time to watch Harry beat the dragon (again)

Day 85 and Day 86

Friday (Day 85)
Dad came in the morning and picked Mum up again, they were heading to a big furniture store on their way home. Robert was pleased to see Pop, and as far as I know never told Richard what he had missed. So no tears from Richard!
Up until about 2pm we had weather like yesterday and then all of a sudden, I felt a draught and when I went to shut the window the view was amazing, so I went outside and got my daily picture!
Once this weather hit, it got really cool, but the boys really wanted to go outside between rain showers, so once again the winter coats and hats came out. But they had great fun with their remote controlled cars in the fresh air, and I got the ironing done in peace!

Florian had a bad journey home from his course, his train was late and made him miss his connection. But he finally reached home about 7.30pm, just missing the kids, who went straight to sleep for once!
Saturday (Day 86)
This morning I finished my "real" scrapbooking project (I'll be posting pics on my other blog tomorrow probably). I don't have quite the right tools at home, starting with the right sort of glue so had to improvise, but the finished product is not bad for a first try!Whilst I was doing that the boys (including Florian) were playing on the Wii, Richard I think was a bit tired today as there was quite a bit of shouting coming from the lounge...

Just before lunch we decided to take some family pictures with the self-timer, here the boys are setting the camera up (with a little help from Daddy)(I grabbed Florian's camera out of his work bag to take this!)

And here is one of the photos taken, can you tell we had fun?!
Our friends came about 5.30pm, they come every year around Easter on their way back from their skiing holiday. It is great to see them again. They brought their fondue set with them and we had cheese fondue for tea.. DELICIOUS!
They took a lot longer on the roads this year to get here and are exhausted so they are already in bed asleep now. And as we lose an hour tonight, they are probably doing the right thing!

Day 84

Well it was another trip to the doctors for Robert (and me) this morning. His temperature was a little bit down today, but when I checked his tonsils I thought I saw some spots on them again, so off we went (after I had done the shopping). Well, yep, he is back on the antibiotics again, its another dose of tonsilitis! I just hope the convalescence we are going on will get his immune system working properly again, so that he isn't ill every 3-4 weeks!

After lunch, Mum and I tackled the bags and bags of old baby clothes that I have been reluctant to get rid of. We went through the bags and sorted out the clothes we thought would not sell at a baby clothes fleamarket and bagged them up for the charity collection. We had 4 BIG sacks full of clothes. And I still have about that left, but with a bit of luck, I might get a little bit of cash for IF (and people would say that is a big IF) I get my act together and get the clothes ready for such a fleamarket...

After the boys came downstairs again, the weather was so beautiful, that even with a poorly Robert, we all went outside. And Mum took this picture of our first ice-cream of the year!
I'd finished mine! Oh and here you can see I am no longer grey!

It was gorgeous outside, shame the weather forecast for tomorrow and the weekend is rain! But with a bit of luck they got it wrong again!

Day 83

I'm young again!! Yep, Mum dyed my hair for me this morning, whilst the kids were at Kindergarden.
I didn't take them to school today, cause yesterday the kids that start school in the summer baked bread to serve at breakfast there today. I couldn't make Robert miss that. So they got to enjoy a great breakfast, with homemade sunflower and onion bread! Wish parents had been invited!!
And now for the not so good news of the day - when we picked them up at Kindergarden, Robert greeted me with the words "Mummy, I've got a bad headache" - uhoh, never a good sentence, and when we got home, I took his temperature and yep, again he has a fever. Poor boy. He had a sleep and felt a bit better after that, but there was no way he was going to football. Luckily Mum was here, so Mum looked after Robert, whilst Richard and I went to football training.
And look it was outside again, the weather was great for it too, even sat watching it wasn't too cold! And here is my little Beckham in midflight!CU tomorrow

Day 82

Work again today, but after work, I went to the station and picked Mum up, who is staying with us for a few days. We went straight to pick the kids up at Kindergarden, and the first words Robert said to Nanna was "did you bring your "tendo ds" with you?" I think we need to teach him to say hello first! Cheeky monkey!
Mum babysat for me tonight and I went to a course at the community college for "Scrapbooking for Beginners".
I had a good time BUT I am definitely a Digital Scrapbooker at heart! But wow, the girl holding the class had some gorgeous albums and such! BEAUTIFUL! (you can see some of her work on her blog here
And here you can see what I made, not quite finished, I have the back yet to do..I might do the back digitally and then glue the pages on ;o), more my cup of tea!

Day 81

Work this morning, so nothing to report from there! When I picked the boys up at Kindergarden, Robert was telling me on the way back to the car that he had to take an egg to Kindergarden in the morning. Now here right before Easter an egg can be "taken to Kindergarden" in several ways, so I went back to Kindergarden to ask about it. and uhoh, they want me to "blow" the inside of the eggs out without breaking the shell.
So this afternoon I tried for the very first time in my life! And wow it actually worked, thanks to a very useful tip from my brother's MIL, make the holes and use a straw to blow the air in, worked like a treat, no broken eggs and no more difficult than blowing up a balloon!
As we had to eggs in a dish, the boys and I made some fairy cakes. They are delicious and the boys are so proud that they made them!Watching Flash Forward (writing in the adverts) now

Day 79 and Day 80

Saturday

We had a lovely lazy family day! The weather was still pretty warm, but unfortunately also pretty wet. So it was an indoor day. And this is what the boys got up too! Look at that concentrationRichard also had a couple of paddies, so I was glad glad of my "getaway" to the girls night out!
We went to a Mexican restaurant, it was delicious, much too much, but delicious! And like a friend in Ireland said "Don't forget the cocktail" - I had two! Both the same, a "Spotlight", it was pineapple and orange juice with coconut cream and strawberry syrup, it was delicious!
It was great to see my friends again, we did a lot of chatting and catching up, and hopefully our next night out, won't take so long organising (the winter weather put pay to a couple of our dates!)
Sunday
Another lazy day really, we went to our bakers at 9.30am and didn't get home until 2.30pm! We had both breakfast and lunch there today!
The kids were playing so nicely (we went with friends) that it seemed a shame to round them up to go home, so we just stayed and enjoyed the chat with friends.
This is Richard and our friends daughter playing with her doll, it was too cute!Once home the boys got to play on the Wii again, it rained all day so no going out for us. I know Mum and Dad got lots of sunshine and they are only an hour's drive away! But none of that for us here!
maybe tomorrow - CU then!

Day 78

Housework day today, so nothing very exciting to report, unless you want the lowdown on our new hoover! (yep still loving it)
The weather today was great all day, they had forecase rain for the afternoon, but it never happened in fact in the afternoon I sent the boys out to play, whilst I finished the ironing, and they went out in only their waistcoats! I hope the rest of the weather forecast for the weekend was wrong too! I can handle these sort of temperatures!
I took this whilst waiting at the station to get Florian.
I'll CU Sunday, going on a "girls night out" tomorrow, so I may not be in in time to post!

Thursday, 18 March 2010

Day 77

Another beautiful sunshiney day today! In fact it was so sunny, that I was actually out chatting to a neighbour without my coat!! Now wouldn't it be nice if Spring was here to stay!?!

This morning I went shopping for some more eggs for our tree and for some waterproof play trousers for Robert, I didn't have any luck getting either, I am much too late for plastic eggs, all of the cheap ones are sold out, and Aldi hat the play trousers on offer on Monday, and sold out pretty quickly! Oh well, maybe Lidl will have some on offer soon instead!
They need the trousers at Kindergarden, as now the weather is improving they are doing their PE lesson in the woods! Sounds good to me!
We spent the afternoon outside again today, the boys had great fun with their remote control cars, and at 4.20pm it was time to go to football training. At last it is back on! And the boys were over the moon about it.As it was so nice, we even walked there (although walking back Richard did complain his feet hurt!)
There was only 3 boys there today so Robert learnt a lot today and had great fun. Richard had fun too, though i am not sure he learnt as much!
here they both areRobert tried his luck with basketball, too!

Day 73 - Day 76

So I fully intended to blog on Sunday, even answer some emails, and do a couple of layouts, BUT Mum and Dad's internet wasn't working. And what does that have to do with me? Well, Sunday we all went to Mum and Dads and stayed overnight! Cause Monday was time for Florian's Xmas present. So Sunday morning we packed what seemed and looked like ALL of our belongings and set off to Mum and Dads. We got there just in time for lunch, the boys really tucked in, I think Robert had two whole portions, they just love a roast dinner, must take after me!
In the afternoon we all went to visit my brother and family and see their loft conversion (wow posh word!). It looks great and gives them so much more space. We went home to Mum's for tea, where Robert got his "roast salad", not sure why he calls it that, as it is really a Greek salad (with Feta cheese). The boys were so excited to be sleeping there, that we had no problems with them when it was bedtime!
Florian then spent most of the evening trying to get the internet to work, but no luck! So no blogging for me!
Instead I got some great shots of Elvis, my parents cockatiel, he is such a character, you can't see it on this photo, but he is actually talking to the doll (Sam). He likes having his photo taken too, quite a little poser, but if I try to get close without the camera he hisses at me. Ever since I took him to the vets 15 years ago (or more) he does not like me and lets me know it. Loves everyone else though!

Monday, Day 74
The boys woke Nanna and Pop up before us, they just went in and poked poor Pop on the cheek! Luckily it was nearly 7am!
Dad took Florian and I to the airport station at 9.30. It was my first time on the ICE (which is a German highspeed train), and we got from Frankfurt Airport to Cologne in 55 minutes! At times we were going 250km/h! I had great fun!Our hotel was in Leverkusen, so from Cologne we went straight there first. We were too early to check in, but we were able to leave our luggage, and we headed to the nearby shopping mall for some lunch. We found a Mexican restaurant, where we had Quesedillas, delicious.
Then back to the shopping mall, where I bought a new sweatshirt, a blouse and skirt. Then we decided that we really should fit as much as possible into "our time"! And went to the cinema. We saw "Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief", I really enjoyed it, it is another film based on a children's book, but it was fun. After that we were able to check into the hotel. the first room they gave us, was a smokers room, and it was really really smelly, luckily they changed it for us. Don't think we could have slept in that smoky smell!

Then it was time to head out again for some more food - Subways this time. then back into Cologne to see "Mario Barth" a German comedian. It was free seating and when we got there at about 7.15pm, it was already nearly full, I almost started worrying that we would find seats together, but Florian spotted two great seats, nearly straight away! This was our view of the stage. We weren't allowed to take pictures once it had started, but we wouldn't have had time anyways, we were too busy laughing from the moment he came on the stage until the time he left! It was BRILLIANT!

Tuesday, Day 75
Today we had a delicious breakfast at the hotel. It was a beautiful buffet, but really it is wasted on me, as I am just not a breakfast person, I had one roll, which I did have with salmon so that is a bit of a treat, and then I had a muffin, but the choice there was so much bigger! After breakfast we checked out and headed into Cologne for some sightseeing and to meet with one of my oldest friends, who lives in that part of Germany.
We spent a good 4 hours together, catching up and laughing. We had lunch at an Italian called "Casa Nostra" and they kept with the Mafia theme, even had a gun on the coat rail, Florian was well impressed!

But I can't let you think that was the only thing we saw in Cologne, here is the main attraction in Cologne, the Dom (cathedral)At 4pm it was time to leave, again on the really fast train. Dad picked us up again, he had thought the boys would be with him, but they didn't really miss us much! As they sent Pop on his own. Even when we got in they weren't that excited about seeing us, they were more interested in arguing over whose turn it is to play on Nanna's Nintendo DS! Too cute!
We didn't stay another night, but came home after tea.
All in all, we had a SUPER break. Thanks so much Mum, Dad for babysitting!

Wednesday, Day 76Well after the last few days this bit of the post is going to be a bit boring! Today the boys were back in Kindergarden, we walked there and back today, cause today really did feel like spring! the sun was out and it was great for the soul!
In the afternoon we went outside into Spring. The boys hung the eggs on our bush, I misjudged just how many eggs we needed, and I think I need to go and find some more tomorrow as they do look a bit lost on the bush. But the boys didn't mind. After hanging the eggs they rediscovered all the toys in the barn, whilst I tidied up our ornamental grass in the garden. The snow had flattened it, and it needed tidying up before things start growing through it!

Day 71 and Day 72

So yesterday Robert had his "practice" day at school! He was really excited to be going. I dropped him off there at 8.45am, and then us Mums, all went for a coffee (well, I had cocoa) at the bakers opposite the school. We were told to pick them up again at 10.45am. Shame that Robert's teacher forgot that, as we stood around for 45minutes not knowing quite where they were and how much longer they were going to be! Once we lost all sense of feeling in our feet, we did go indoors to warm up. Had we realised it was going to take that long, we would have stayed at the bakers!

That said, Robert enjoyed it. Although the first thing he told me, was that he hadn't been able to draw a candle, but I really think that matters too much!
I got this picture of spring on the way home (its right near my one and only snowdrop!), cause as we went to school it was "Snowing" again and quite heavily too. Luckily this time it didn't settle!

Saturday
Today we went shopping for my new vacuum cleaner! We are now the proud owners of a Dyson! And already I am impressed. Although after my 16 year old one, probably anything could have impressed me! Our new one, makes the hoovering soooo much easier, no longer are muscles involved! woohoo!

After shopping we went to "our" restaurant as the boys call it, and they had sausage and chips, I had Schnitzel and chips (kids portion) and Florian had a vegetarian plate! It was all very delicious. We were about half way through eating and Robert turned to me and said "Mummy, thank you so much for taking us to the restaurant" - isn't that just too cute!
When we got back the boys took their remote control cars out to play in the garden. Here they are messing up my beds!
This evening we have been watching "Walk the Line" (Johnny Cash).

Day 70

I was so busy this morning and it was so satisfying. I decided to wash all the floors, and I wanted to start in the lounge. So first of all I got the hoover out to vacuum - we NEED an new one, and I want one NOW!! Ours was not sucking at all, and when I went to empty the bag, the dirt was not even going into it, YUCK!!
Anyhow I was trying to suck the dust out from behind the radiator - it wasn't working. So I decided to wash the radiator down too. I had the music on nice and loud and was singing along! When I had finished the radiator, I looked up and cause I had moved the curtains to get to the radiator, I could see the sunshine through my filthy windows! so I decided to remedy that, and cleaned them! And then finally I got around to cleaning the floor!
And after that detailled description, you can probably tell, that I am not the best housewife, and get excited when I get something right! *grin*!

This afternoon it was Richard's "4-year-old check up", so off to the doctor's we went. Richard was quite excited that he was going to show her how he can jump on one leg. He can only hop on his right leg, so we have to convince him to try on his left too! And the other thing we have to do is make him walk around on tiptoes, to make his feet form themselves correctly, and strengthen his muscles.
We do have to go to the urologist for a check up too, so fingers crossed all is alright in that department too!

And with that busy day, my pic is from this evening, the cat came in and has obviously been in a punch up, but by his relaxed manner i would say he was the winner! Just a bit of a bloody ear!

Day 69

All healthy today, which is very good news! It was school today for the boys, and as I had been shopping on Monday I had plenty of time to kill. First I went to visit our shoemaker, he is one of the old fashioned kind, and sort of looks how you would imagine the shoemaker from the fairytale. I always have a good chat when I go, and today was no exception. I took my handbag in, the strap has broken, and he is going to be able to fix it for me. I told him he had to make it strong, cause of all the "rubbish" I carry around with me, plus the camera!

On my way back to join the boys I took a pic of the school for today. It is in the old "castle" there is actually a classroom in the tower on the left! But the boys weren't in that bit!

This afternoon the boys made a dinosaur picture with stickers, a set I bought them this morning, it was fun. Then we played Mouse trap again. A whole day with no Wii, Robert was not that amused! But I think Blue Peter (english childrens show, that is still going strong, I used to watch it when I was young) made up for it!

Day 67 and Day 68

So yesterday I forgot to blog, can you believe that!! I was just turning the computer off (it takes forever to do) and then I remembered, of course by then it as too late to stop the process, so I took the day off!

Yesterday was a bit different sort of Monday, Florian had a meeting in Fulda. It was just a shame I had to work and we couldn't enjoy breakfast together. Instead Florian had breakfast with the boys, whilst I got myself to work. After his meeting he came home for lunch with us. And then..the bug struck him too...but fortunately not as bad as us, but not good.
Despite this he decided he could drive south, and fight it off down there. He got there safe and sound and with the medicine that Robert took by this morning he was OK again.

I went shopping in the afternoon to restock our cupboards, and i got a couple of extras too...The webstick is so that when we go away for Robert's convalescence I can still stay in touch with everyone! hopefully!

Tuesday
NOT a great start to the day today. Robert got a coughing fit about 5.30am and by 6.00am he was throwing up! AGH!! More washing and such, but I'll spare you the details.
The only good thing was that it really was only the coughing that caused it, so he was able to go to Kindergarden, and today would have been a big shame to miss. Cause they went to the Kinderakademie, where they have an exhibition all about wild rabbits. They went on the bus, so I didn't get to join them, which is a shame, but then again i did have to work.
Part of the exhibition involved them making Rabbit ears, here he is wearing his!CU tomorrow

Day 66

Well no new snow this morning, and we had a LOT of sunshine, shame about the cold wind...but it lifted the spirits to see some sunshine!
We went out for a walk after lunch. The boys were not too enthusiastic to start with, but enjoyed it once we were out. Even more so when we finished walking and they got to try out their bikes for the first time this year!

Here is a pic from our walk and one of them on their bikes (they were actually discussing the flag on Robert's bike)And I have to show you this one, see, even the snow couldn't stop this little piece of Spring finally showing through!(it's a snowdrop, just one, my uncle has a field of them, I have ONE every year!)

Day 65

I am feeling so much better today, shame it was spoilt by this sight when we got up this morning
and here I was thinking Spring was almost here!
Anyhow, I really did go to bed early (9.30pm) and apart from Richard needing a wee at 3.30am I slept through til the boys got us up. And I almost feel human again. I thought I was better than I was, cause when I started sorting out the laundry it was a bit much and I ended up sat on the floor sorting laundry - not done that before! So then I took it a bit easier!

Robert too was feeling a lot better, but I think it was cause he really really really wanted to go to his best friends birthday party. I watched him all morning and decided to let his friend's mum decide whether she wanted to have him. And she was really cool about it, all she wanted was for me to pack some clean clothes just in case! So at 1.30pm off he went to his party. Richard was a bit disappointed a) not to be going and b) that his friend Robert wasn't here to play with him.
I wish I had had the camera at hand when Robert came home, cause Richard didn't even let him come in before giving him a big hug! Too cute!

As Richard was missing out on birthday cake we had some cake at home too. Look at his little face when Daddy put the cream on it too!Robert isn't quite all better, cause he broke down in tears when we put him to bed, telling me that he had missed me so so much this afternoon. Cute but silly really, he wasn't gone for that long. I don't really know how the party went cause he was more interested in what we had been doing and was not very forthcoming with information about his day! So maybe more on that tomorrow

Day 64

This evening I am starting to feel human again, although I am really tired and will probably be off to bed in a minute. But I don't want to get too far behind. Thanks for all the well wishes, it helped, I'm sure.

The day yesterday started off ok, with Richard on the mend. Robert went to Kindergarden, all was fine until at about 4pm my stomach felt as though someone had kicked it. And by 5pm I had contacted Florian and told him to come home, I needed help.
He got home at 10pm to find me curled up on the couch, I think that is a first for a LONG while that I haven't been on the computer scrapping or blogging.
Unfortunately at midnight Robert too started with the bug. So it was a short night for all of us. I was up every 30minutes...and poor Florian had to keep tending to Robert and Richard.

Needless to say, I have no pics from yesterday.

Today I have one of Robert and me this morning, looking very sorry for ourselves.Florian got some medicine from the doctors for us, and that helped Robert with the "feeling sick" feeling.
I have managed to eat some banana and salt sticks, and am keeping up drinking. So hopefully tomorrow after some sleep I will be feeling even better.

Day 61 and Day 62

So yesterday I wore myself out! Yep, the translation I was working on at work, just took everything out of me, it sometimes is hard work, especially when you are translating something that you just don't understand. The text was full of technical terms that neither me or my colleague had ever heard of. I only had part of the text so I couldn't even get a complete overview from the text...
So when I got home I just let the boys on the Wii and "vegged out" on the couch! Which I continued to do in the evening too..not quite I did work on my ADSR Challenge 7 layout (a bucket list, things I want to do before I pop my socks, or "kick the bucket" hence the title "Bucket list")
Yesterday Posty also bought a parcel for me, and my mobile phone arrived home all repaired! That was suppposed to be my picture that I took yesterday, but I was too lazy to take it, so I took it just a moment ago! But the idea was there yesterday!

Wednesday
So all plans for today were cancelled at 1am this morning, when Richard called me. He has a tummy bug and I will spare this poor blog any of the details, but I will say I was putting the washing machine on at 1.30am last night, and had we had warm water I would have been showering poor Richard too! But at that time of night we have the water heater turned off, so he had to make do with a luke warm wash.
Needless to say, neither Richard or me got a lot of sleep last night, and I spent most of the day washing some sort of bedding! And if wasn#t doing that i was cuddling my poor Richard. He had a very bad tummy ache and needed lots of TLC today! Here he is with his dish full of salt brezeln, all he could handle today. The TV was on all day for both of us, whilst the boys watched "Ice Age" this afternoon I fell asleep, something in the film woke me and I thought we had a strange cat in the lounge with us, if the boys had been older I think they would have had me locked up for acting so weird. So tonight I will be off to bed a lot earlier.
Keep your fingers xed for me, that we all get a good night's sleep. And that Robert doesn't catch it!

Day 60

Work today, nothing new there. This afternoon the boys insisted they wanted to play on the Wii, I actually let them fully expecting another tantrum from Richard, but it actually went well for longer than I expected, and when we did get to the part where he started having a paddy, I turned it off. Robert and I wanted to go for a walk (well sort of) but Richard was having none of it, and carried on his paddy for us.
Until I told them, they could try on my new shoes! And here are my models in my sandals!
Robert needs some practise on the plateau ones! hihi!

I had these ones on, when they were trying the shoes on, so they didn't get to wear them all!

So there you go everyone, my new shoes!
Alright here they are without the boys in them!

And this is really today's picture, Richard on the new blanket that we put on the couch today. We have had this patchwork blanket for a long while and I was always saying it is too good to sit on, but as Mum said, its no good sat in a plastic bag in a cupboard either. And Richard LOVES it! he sat all of his teddies on it with him, too cute!
