Day 58

no I didn't forget yesterday, but my laptop is thinking about giving up on me I think, it crashed 5 or 6 times yesterday so I spent most of the evening getting all of my pictures and layouts off and onto the external harddrive. I think I have finished now, so I can post yesterday's picture on here.

Florian surprised us all and got home on Thursday evening a day early. We were all very excited about his surprise. And this is the boys showing him their own special way, that they love him!

I might not be back tonight with today's picture and not because of the laptop, no, I am going on a Girls night out! Yep, out for a meal with my best friends, I want to take the camera and get a picture of us all together, so hopefully I don't forget with all the catching up we have to do!

Day 57

No chicken pictures today, I might go and take one out there tomorrow, as I blocked up what I think is the escape route, but I didn't want to take the camera out into the drizzle today. Fingers crossed that Stevie McQueen stays put now, much safer in the hen house than by the wood (foxes!)!
Anyhow on to today's photo. What can I say "Like Mother, like Son!" fits I think!

Day 56

So I had today's picture all chosen, and then I went to get some wood for the fire and found this...Our chicken Stevie McQueen asleep by our wood!!! Silly chicken.

But I'll still show you the picture that I had originally chosen. Robert out this afternoon cycling directly for me! He swerved just in time, thank goodness!

Day 55

and it feels like Day 55 of unsuccessful potty training! This is Richards WeeWee sticker chart, a racing track with racing car stickers! I had made the same one for #2's where he gets stickers from the film "CARS", and every 10 poohs he gets a present. BUT no such luck, he WILL NOT go for a #2 on the toilet or the potty. Weewees no problem, as you can see from the picture its filling up nicely with stickers in only 2 days.. (we've been potty training for longer, only just got the chart!)
If anyone has any tips, i would be so grateful!

Day 54

Remember that picture of my chicken looking in the terace door, well, we clipped its wings and it still gets out, we think that it is so skinny that it is getting under the fence or through a gap we haven't found yet.
But today it made me laugh out loud. I went to get some wood for our logfire this morning and saw that something had been digging there (I blamed the cat!), well, when I went out for more wood this afternoon, I saw this....
And here is a close up!
Now it has got too lazy to make its way into the hen house to lay its eggs! What a cheeky Chicken!!!

Day 52 and Day 53

Not bad going 52 days in and I miss one! We went to my parents for the weekend, and I just never got to blogging.
Mum and Dad babysat last night, whilst we went to friends for a b-day party. It was great to be out, without having one eye on the kids or ear to a babyphone. Thanks Mum and Dad!

anyhow here are my pictures for yesterday and today.

Day 52: Lego fun with Pop
Day 53: 7 am and Pop HAS to play!

It was Dad's turn to feature today, Mum, you'll be next...2 weeks peace first though!

Day 51

This photo just made me giggle when going through today's photos, so it just had to be posted!
Richard not quite so worn out, but looking very chubby! Mmh, must be time for him to have a growth spurt!CU tomorrow

Day 50

Thursdays is the day that the boys go to Kindergarden all day, whilst I am at work. Today after picking them up, I got the impression that they were worn out! Richard even went and got his "corner" (what he snuggles with when he goes to bed) to cuddle whilst watching TV.

Day 49

So this picture is sort of funny, its Robert cleaning the back of the kitchen top. You see, they were helping get tea ready and Robert decided a fun thing to do would be to see if he can break open a cherry tomato with his bare hands... Well, needless to say he got tomato juice and pips EVERYWHERE. So first he had to go and sit at the table and watch Richard and I finish getting tea ready and then to his horror he had to clean up the mess he made! With a bit of luck, he won't do it again... (famous last words?!)

Day 48

Uff, that was close, nearly forgot to take a photo today, I was at a b-day party all afternoon and this evening I totally forgot. So what to take a picture of that sort of reflects today, and then I remembered Robert brought a picture home from Kindergarden for me. So I took a picture of that, not one of his best pictures, and I am not really sure what it is supposed to be, just that the circles with the "w"'s at the top are actually EGGS that are cracked!CU tomorrow

Day 47

Today I have pictures of what I will call "Damage Control" - so what do you get when you sit a fidgety 4-year-old down on a toilet seat and let his Dad cut his fringe with the hair shaving thing - doesn't sound promising does it!
But I'll walk you through the whole process, this is Robert before the "sitting down" part, too long at the front but still cute...

And this is him after - OK, its a silly face, but get the fringe....AGH!
So this morning I did some damage control before Kindergarden, it looked a bit better,
but then I saw this view of him after lunch today, and decided that I couldn't let the poor soul walk around with it like that for any longer,
so tonight, I got hold of the hair shaving thing and did some more damage control
Really short now, but at least no more monks!

You are possibly wondering why I didn't let a professional correct it all, well you see in Germany, hairdressers don't work on a Monday! That and the fact that Robert only wanted Mummy to cut his hair. I think now it looks almost OK, liked it better long, but it'll grow! And I have since forgiven his Daddy!

Day 46 and I've been Challenged

So first of all my Project 365 picture! Another one taken by Florian as I am trying hard to recover from this cold before Florian goes off to work in the morning!
He took the boys out again with their bum slides, but this time they took the sledge with them too. Florian didn't have enough hands to pull them along and take photos, so Robert did the pullingLooks pretty good, doesn't it! Well unfortunately for the boys, Daddy took this photo too!
Oops! Poor Richard!

And now for something completely different....
I was challenged by Emma (and someone else a while back now and I forgot, sorry!)

The rules are as follows:
Go to your photo folder in your computer.
Go to the 6th folder of the photos.
Go to the sixth picture.
Put the picture on your blog and description of it.
Invite six friends to join the challenge.

OK, first of all my 6th picture, I really thought about cheating on this one, and then thought, we've all done embarrassing things before and pretending to be a cat is not that bad...

Here are my six friends I asked to join in the challenge:

Jan (intensemagic)
Leigh (tricertifiedx2)
Dinphy
Karyn
Michelle
Danyale

Have fun ladies, I did!

Day 45

I'm not feeling so good today, a cold has hit me, BUT for Valentines day Florian not only got me a CD and DVD, no I got the day off, starting with a lay in, then when I got up, Florian had taken the kids shopping. And in the afternoon Florian again took the kids out, they went up to the hill at Kindergarden (seeing as ours in the garden was no good) with their bum slides! I didn't go, but I did send the camera so todays picture is of the kids at the sledging hill at KindergardenAnd here Robert goes
and here they both are at the bottomCU tomorrow

Day 44

Another snowy day today, and I was the boys best friend too! You see, a friend managed to find somewhere near here that still had a few of those bum slide thingysthat you use to sledge! Once home I phoned the shop and yep, they still had two, so I had them put by for an hour and went and got them for the boys. And not only did I get them, I took them to Kindergarden so that they could join in the fun with all their friends there, when they went out before lunch!
At home in the afternoon i wasn't quite the hero, as when they went to slide down our little hill in the garden:
it wasn't working. Robert's words were "Mummy, I think we haven't got a hill!", we have, but the snow was just too sticky!

they had fun anyways, and today I am going to break all the rules and show you just how they had fun in the snow. Robert obviously thought, well, if my bum slider doesn't work, Richard's bike will!!!And Richard just loves digging, and today it was in the snow!

Day 43

Work today, so not many photo opportunities, so I decided that today I would let another of our pets (yep the chickens are pets!) should star, not so sure he thought so though by the look on his face! Meet Sunny!CU tomorrow

Day 42

I have more pics of the boys, but this one is funny, so this is today's picture! This is "Stevie McQueen" as she is our escape artist. This chicken is theonly one that can get out of the chicken run, and today I think she'd had enough of the snow and fancied coming in to join us in front of the fire! (oh and please ignore the mess in the front of the window! hihi!)

Day 41, and I was tagged!

Don't let me forget I was tagged about a week ago and keep forgetting to post about it, but I thought I would show you todays photo first.

Surprisingly enough the boys slept through the night, not waking until 7am! And that with a full moon, maybe they are growing out of it!
Here are the pair of them playing so nicely together, it actually lasted for about 30minutes today, that is really good!So now about that tag that I got. Let me see,
I have to link back to who I got it from, that was Siw Aina - you should definitely visit her blog, she has some really great photos. Siwan's Project 365
And now to list 6 interesting things about me - mmh, difficult one that one

  1. I am fully bilingual (English/German).
  2. We moved to Germany when I was 1o and we will have been here 30 years this summer (now guess how old I will be in June...!)
  3. I started designing in September for a contest and love it
  4. Scrapping is my getaway after a long day with the kids
  5. my husband works away from home in the week, I miss him!
  6. I love all of your comments, and thank you all for that!
Ok, and now to pass the tag on, not sure if they do this sort of thing, or if they haven't already been tagged, but here goes...

Bye 4 now, CU tomorrow

Day 40

I have two or maybe three pictures for today. I don't want the boys to feel left out, so I have one of each of them doing the new sticker books that Nanna bought for them. This first one is Robert with his Numbers sticker book!
And this is Richard with his shapes and colours sticker book!
And then I took this picture today, this is the sort of face I see, quite a lot as the full moon approaches, usually because they are getting up to some sort of mischief that I don't want them too! Its a photo that sums up some of today too!Unfortunately full moon usually means a sleepless night for me, so wish me luck!

Day 39

We had a great day today, we went to my parents for the carnival parade there. The boys got to dress up as firemen (Richard refused to wear the costume and would only put on the helmet).
I took LOTS of pictures, so I am not only going to post one today. I want to show you what our parades are like. This is one of the groups marching and playing in the parade.

The boys really liked the drummers ,but best of all, were those that threw sweeties to catch and collect. But I was too busy helping them pick them up to get a picture ;)

Day 38

We had a fun filled day with the afternoon spent at the swimming pool. BUT we didn't take the camera. So you get a picture of the other thing that I thought was great today...
my working washing machine! Finally the part came, and Florian managed (with only a little bit of difficulty) to get it fixed properly! Thanks Florian.
So now to get everything cleaned, so that I can do the ironing again next week ;)

Day 37

Another day of housework here, before Florian comes home in about an hour. This time I employed some little helpers!Don't be fooled though, this photo comes without the original soundtrack, and they were actually arguing over who was going to do the hoovering!
Have a great weekend

Day 35

Another picture of Robert today, working together with Mummy (well, I'm the one behind the camera, but I think you will see what I mean) he is playing here with Richard's computer and getting it all right. It asks you to spell the words that you see on the "screen" and wow, he did it. Which is really good, because it is a German computer and he speaks better English, but this he got, he only got stuck on the German word for "rainbow", he didn't know what he was looking for on the picture, but I was so proud of him!

I managed to get them to stop and pose for a picture though!

Day 33

Well, today I started back at work, and really a picture of that would have been a good choice for today, but they have a "no cameras" rule, that I wasn't going to break on my first day back!

So todays picture is of me chatting to my Mum and their cockateel "Elvis" over Skype! A bit of flash glare, sorry about that, but it has captured my chat perfectly!

Day 32

We had a lovely day today, we celebrated Richard's Birthday with the family, we took lots of photos and it was a really hard decision, which one to post. But I think, this one really shows what we were up to.
And I have to show you the cake my SIL baked for Richard, who for the past 6 months has been insisting that he wants a "Thomas Cake" for his Birthday. Panic stations for me, how to bake a train - well, my SIL did it perfectly, and not even a comment from Richard that it wasn't blue! He LOVED it!CU tomorrow
