Day 143 - Day 146

Catch up time again, I have been ill this weekend, and going to bed early hence the break in blogging. I should probably be going to bed early tonight too, but I want to catch up here too. I'll try and hurry.

Day 143 - Friday
Another one of my two in one days today. Still got a sore throat but nothing that a sage sweety won't cure. So armed with them I went to school to pick Robert and his friend up after their night at school. I didn't (and still haven't) hear(d) much about the night, other than that it was great! I dropped both boys off at my friends and went to work. I was there until quarter to twelve, then it was time to rush home, pick up the bits I needed to take to Mum's and then pick Robert up from his friend and Richard from school. It was all a bit of a rush, cause I had forgotten to tell Richard that I was picking him up and under no circumstances did I want to be chasing the bus to get Richard back! We made it in time and got Richard well before the bus came!
Then off to Mum and Dad's we set.

We had lunch at Mum's and then Robert sent me off to wash the car and then go get the new one! I even had both keys with me this time. This time however for some weird reason I at some point must have taken the car manual out of the car and that is now missing - maybe tomorrow I will feel up to looking for it! No idea where to start though!

Mum and I took the boys into town in the new car for an ice cream then. Very yummy as you can see.

And on our way out of the car park Mum got a picture of the new car for me!

We left after the boys had watched their favourite programme - Friday Download - and were home about 9.30pm. After putting the boys to bed, I sat down and once all the racing of the day had fallen from me a cold really hit me. By the time Florian got in an hour later I was feeling really rotten.

Day 144 - Saturday
Woke up feeling awful and took it really easy all day. Florian took Robert to his football game. And Richard had his friends round and they played quietly upstairs all afternoon.
By 8pm I went to bed, I was actually in bed before boys.

Day 145 - Sunday
Unfortunately no miracle cure over night, still full of cold and feeling sorry for myself. Florian and the boys went to the BBQ we were all supposed to be going to and I enjoyed the peace and quiet at home. Florian made a little video of their BBQ fun, so that can be todays "picture".
No it won't can't find it on my phone to download it, and I didn't take any pictures - don't think anyone wants to see just how many tissues I got through!

Day 146 - Monday
No feeling sorry for myself today, I had to get on with it, but very slowly. First it was guitars to school and shopping. But then I had the rest of the morning and half the afternoon to myself. I didn't have to pick the boys up til 3.30pm, they had an extra guitar lesson each.
After getting them home in the pouring rain, I decided that Robert was not going to be going to athletics to find out what happens when it rains, we'll do that another time. For Richard I found someone who could take him to Karate and I got a bit more time to put my feet up.
It didn't rain by Mum today and I sent her these pictures to prove that it was really raining here.

Now I am hoping for more of the same tomorrow, as I do not want to have to get all het up about football again, and rain may be my easy way out!

Day 142

Work for me this morning, and school for the boys. No coughs or anything to put a stop to any of it today! After work, I gave Heike a ring to find out if my son was coming home for lunch or not, but he had already had his lunch at Heike's, he fancied trying her lunch rather than coming home for mine. Robert came home for lunch today, this morning I decided that school, football and then spending the night at school without coming home at all might be a bit much. So I let him skip his tennis lesson in the afternoon and come home from school after normal lessons.
At the time I didn't realise that his trainer thought it a good idea to skip football - I mean after the lecture we all got last week, how was I to know. So in the end he had no football either and a nice long afternoon at home and his friend's. Whilst he was at his friend's I went to Heike's for an iced chocolate - yummy!

At just after 6pm Richard and I took Robert to school with his airbed, sleeping bag and all sorts of other things they need for their sleepover at school.

Back home we had tea and then it was time for Richard to go to bed. Unfortunately just after putting Richard to bed, the storm rolled in - and Richard joined me downstairs to watch it! (We couldn't watch TV, that signal disappeared during the storm) I tried to capture it on camera but these pictures don't do it justice. It was really eery, it was so quiet and hardly any wind, but still thunder and lightening across the whole sky.

Day 141

I did take my camera with me this morning, but I was too busy with a class of 24 to get it out. This morning it was sports day at school (Bundesjugendspiele). As Robert's class teacher wasn't there today another Mum and I were in charge of the class. All in all they were pretty good, we did have to threaten 3 kids with maths sums if they didn't behave, but the threat worked and we didn't have to get them out.

I got to see today just how good Robert is at athletics, in two out of three disciplines he beat his class mates hands down. First up was long jump, he jumped 3.50m, our next stop was throwing, he threw the 80g ball 27m, I was very impressed. He didn't run as fast as some of his class mates, but he was in the top third of his class at least! Way to go Robert!

It was a long morning, with lots of waiting time but all in all the kids had a good time. I don't know how Richard did, but I will find out on Friday I think.

This afternoon I visited a friend in the village for half an hour or so and then it was time to take Richard to art school and Robert to his friend. Whilst Richard was at art school, I went to the mall and today I decided to try the new ice cream parlour there. I had "New York Cheesecake" flavour, it was DELICIOUS.

I am now looking forward to working my way through their flavours in the upcoming weeks! Might need an extra gym session soon though!

And I thought I would post a picture of my lap earlier this evening! Both have found new spots to lay now, otherwise I wouldn't be able to type this post!

Day 140

This morning my friend and I headed for the gym. We joined in the course for backs, this is the third time we have been and it has been different every time we have been. Today it was half back exercises and half synergy. So after that course we didn't do a synergy course instead we rode a bike and did the machines. All in all we felt very proud of ourselves!

When I got home I started cooking lunch, today we had a "Hairy dieters" recipe for Italian meatballs in tomato sauce. It took a good hour and half to make, but it was soooo delicious!

After lunch Robert went to his friend's to have a water fight, and Richard and I did something really exciting - we cleaned and hoovered the car, ready to exchange it for a new one on Friday.
Richard was a huge help - in fact all I did was supervise! Thank you darling!

Day 139

First off it was get the guitars to school, I had an extra one from Robert's friend to take too. I had a little chat with the secretary before going to Aldi to do the weekly shop! Then it was back home again, where I planned my lesson for Kindergarden, then off I went to there.

Back home it was lunch for me, then it was time for Richard to come home. He had to practice his reading today, as there is a reading competition on at school these coming weeks. He knew exactly which book he wanted and which passage too. Luckily for him I was even able to find it! phew!
Then it was back to school to pick Robert up from guitar (plus 5(!!!) guitars and bags!) Before going there, I stopped at a shop in the village and got Lee's girls a T-shirt each and some other bits and bobs as I wanted to send them all a parcel.

We weren't home for long, then it was time to all get to our sporting activities. Richard went to Karate, Robert to athletics and whilst they were busy I did some power walking. The area around the stadium is beautiful, so I think I will definitely be keeping this up!

Day 138

This morning I went to church to see some of the kids I used to teach at Kindergarden get their First Holy Communion. I didn't think the service was as nice as last year, but I have since heard that the priest was ill and someone else was standing in, so that could have been why.
This year someone else was taking pictures, but I did take my camera along and got a few for me, and some for my friends.

This afternoon Robert and I went out and delivered all the cards (using pictures I took this morning) to the kids. I made us walk pretty fast trying to get the right calorie count on my heart rate watch, in the hope to get a free drink this coming week at the gym. I'll find out in the morning.

This evening we bbq'ed again, this time just the four of us, but still as delicious and plentiful.

Day 137

This morning we packed up the boys bean bag chairs that came at the beginning of the week and broke after being here only about 22 hours. we were going to take them to the post office, but luckily Posty drove by as Florian was trying to get the giant boxes in the car, and we were able to give him the parcels. Thank you, Posty!
We then went to the furniture shop to try out their beanbags and see if we thought they could handle our boys! They now have two new beanbags, but I forgot to take a picture of them, so maybe that will be tomorrow's picture. Here are the boys on the bean bags we sent back today!

After lunch, I was busy preparing various things for a BBQ and Florian was outside tidying up the garden. We have a bed that had a deep hole where the boys used to dig, well that bed is now all level, and now we should be able to mow the weeds that grow in that area.
Later in the afternoon Heike and Marcel came round to BBQ, we had a lovely meal and a great time.

This evening the boys were allowed to stay up and watch the DFB football championship (Dortmund vs Bayern Munich) Here they are at half time.

Richard didn't even last out til then, he slept through most of it. Robert fidgeted his way through the game and the extra time (30 minutes), I was so pleased that it didn't go to penalties! Our plan is that on Monday at school, he'll be able to join in the discussion about who scored, who fouled, who was injured and whatever else there is to discuss about football!

Off to bed now

Day 136

When we got up this morning, Robert was coughing well, but somehow it sounded as if he was forcing it, so I showed some tough love and sent him off to school, and myself off to work. Getting there was actually fun this morning as I gave my friend a lift into town. I got to work with a smile on my face and ready to tackle the work I knew I had, but as I walked in the door I was greeted with the words "Stop! Has school managed to get hold of you?" Oh dear, no they hadn't so I rang them back. Robert was in a bad way with his cough and could I come and pick him up.
I found someone who could do my work for me, and set off to pick him up. The poor guy didn't have much of a voice when I picked him up, but for the rest of the morning there wasn't much coughing. With the bullying going on at school, I am still not sure if he is using this cold as an excuse to be at home. Oh well, he had a nice quiet morning home and I got some tidying up done, that wouldn't have been had I been out.

This afternoon Richard went to their woodwork workshop, but I kept Robert home. Although he did come along for the ride to drop Richard off, and my friend bought Richard home for me again. At home Robert and I made the most of the fact that the sun was out and got the lawn cut. With me hoping that the fresh air and exercise would help shift Robert's cough.

Day 134 and Day 135

Day 134 - Wednesday
Another day of careful timing today!
Smiley was sterilised today, I had to take her to the vets on my way to the library and leave her there to be sorted. Library as always was fun. Heike had her dog with her today and the kids loved that, the dog was as good as gold sat behind the desk with us, and not all kids even noticed her! I took Robert home with me, and he got to pick Smiley up with me. She looked worse for wear when we picked her up, but then again it is a major operation for a lady cat. We left her in the cat box for a couple of hours when we got home, she actually wasn't too happy about that. And when I finally did let her out, she was soooo wobbly. I got a cute little video of her falling over, but my mobile is all out of power right now, so pictures and videos today will have to wait.

At 4pm we left Smiley nursing her wound and Robert went to his friend's and Richard and I headed off to art school. I bumped into Heike at the shopping mall, doing her weekly shop, I only had to get Bretzels for tea.
I brought another friends kids home from art school with me and then said friend did me a huge favour.
This afternoon I had a phone call from a stranger who had done some research on the internet to find me, as his wife had found my works key card, which somehow or other I had lost when I went to the post office on Monday! He was going to be at the sports group in town between 6 and 7 and my friend who lives round the corner from there, offered to pick it up for me and save me a trip - bless her!

In the evening another friend came round and we started planning Heike's hen do. It is harmless, but we will have a lot of fun and spoil ourselves at the same time! Looking forward to it.

Day 135 - Thursday
Robert woke up with earache and sore throat this morning. he has a radar for the days I have to work, I swear, but again I have the best friends in the world - Heike had an appointment at the doctors with her girls, so she took Robert along with her. Turns out he is a "real" man! He has a cold, his ears aren't infected, his throat not even red and his lungs are clear, it is just a normal cold, but he was milking it this morning. I apologise now to any future daughter in law, sorry I couldn't make more of a woman of him in this respect!
I did think though that perhaps it was a cry for help, he was bullied at school yesterday about the jumper he was wearing they called it a "baby jumper" (the fact that it was a Tommy Hilfiger €60 jumper didn't bother the kids), and maybe that was more the reason he didn't want to go today. I called the school and got his teacher to ring me back. She had missed the bullying but wants to get to the bottom of it and put a stop to it. I hope it works.

This afternoon I left the kdis at home playing on the wii and went to sport. We got a good work out in, and all I have to do now is work out how to fill up zone 2 as I already have done the time and calories. I think we will be going for a couple of walks this weekend, I hope it warms up!

This evening even though Robert wasn't at football training I had to go to the meeting the trainer had called. All parents got a nice telling off for not supporting their kids in the games and for cancelling at the last minute and such.- he may well be right, but its the way he told us off as if we were all about 8 - grrr, I'll be glad when neither boys plays football anymore!

Right like I said the pictures are on my phone and that is completely empty, I must have worn it out playing scrabble tonight! Pictures tomorrow, promise
CU then!

Day 133

I'm beginning to ache already and it all started this morning, after finishing the ironing! I picked my friend up at 8.45am and off we went to sport. We decided to do the same programme as last week, so we started with the back training, today it was a different trainer and he certainly put us through our paces. I was worn out after that, but we still went on to do the Synergy training. This time I didn't have any problems with nearly fainting or so (ah, you might not know that, last week, I hadn't had breakfast before going to sport, and that wasn't a clever idea at all!). I burned 500 and something calories in 1,5h - yep, that is good! And I am pleased with myself!

Once Richard was home I had a shower and then got lunch ready for the kids, it wasn't quite finished when Robert got home, but no complaining as I was making just what they had asked for "vegetable volcano" - that is pasta with broccoli and carrots and a feta cheese sauce. Very yummy!

Robert went to his touch typing course this afternoon, and Richard did a workout on the Wii whilst I had a student for an English lesson here! Not a too much of an exciting day, but we need them every once in a while.

ooh, nearly forgot something that happened after blogging last night - I dropped my Kindle and it is well and truly broken. I was so cross with myself, still am, but it was the cat that got shouted at! And cause I have forgiven her for getting in my way I'll post this cute picture of her

Day 132

Taxi Mama service started bright and early today, first trip to school, with one son, two guitars, two guitar bags, one sports bag and one school bag! The other son chose to go on the bus! From there it was off to shopping, then and English lesson at Kindergarden.
The next trip for Taxi Mama was back to school to pick up No. 1 son, 4 guitars, 3 guitar bags and one school bag. Back home Robert had an hour to finish his homework before Taxi Mama left again, next stop Karate training for Richard. From there Robert and I made a mad rush into town to get Robert's glasses tightened again, after a ball hit him in the face last week. And then it was on to athletics for Robert to try out there. I stayed and watched for a little bit, and was quite impressed by the training.

I couldn't stay for all the training as I had to take my taxi back to pick up Richard from Karate, and then back to athletics to get Robert! Worn out from reading yet? I am certainly worn out. Still the boys love me for it, I am sure.

Robert had a great time at athletics and the smile on his face said it all, when he told me he jumped the furthest and highest! He certainly wants to go again next week, so I think we will be ending his football career very shortly!

Off to bed now
CU tomorrow, with a less hectic day!

Day 131

Mother's Day today! And the boys had made some lovely things at school for me.

The bird is from Richard and has a peg behind his beak to put little messages, with a bit of luck, I'll get a few from Richard in future. Todays message was in both German and English. Very creative spelling in English but from the heart and he was so proud of himself.
Robert tried his hand at sewing and made a lovely flower for me. In his card he had written a lovely Mother's Day poem for me.
And for most of the day there wasn't any argueing or fighting - not a bad Mother's day, not bad at all!

The weather today was cold, wet and windy, sometimes one after the other, other times all at once. Not nice at all. But we ignored that and when the sun came out at lunch time we barbecued! Well, Florian was out in the cold grilling our sausages and cheese and I was indoors making salads.

Some time after lunch I decided to go walking to see if I couldn't reach the goals my training watch sets me for the week, for the first time ever I was only 15 minutes off of reaching the time set on it. I grabbed a break in the clouds put my music in my ears and off I set. Determined to reach at least the time goal, when I got back from my first round, I showed Florian that I had done it, and then we realised I was only 25 calories off of reaching the calorie goal, so off I went again. This time the clouds didn't look quite as welcoming.
But I made it back home again dry, with both goals achieved and feeling proud of myself!

We all watched Pocahontas at tea time and then the boys had a shower and off to bed. Once they were in bed, Florian had to head off to work. He's up north somewhere this week and he needs to be there early tomorrow morning!

Day 130

Lovely day today, Mum and Dad came for the day. The boys and Florian were still out when they got here, they had gone to get the mother's day flowers for both Mum and me. We took Mum and Dad out for a meal, to the restaurant (around the corner! - insider joke). Florian and I wanted our asparagus treat. It didn't disappoint, even Dad reckoned it was the best he had ever had. Sooo good it melted in your mouth!

We had a little walk around the grounds. I got a pic of the boys trying hard to stay dry or fall in, not quite sure!

Back home Heike came round with cake for us all - it was delicious, just not really a cake more like dessert, but it was so yummy we didn't mind!
Oh and I tried my Dirndl on with my new blouse and bra and its amazing just what a new bra can do, look I have cleavage now!

Back to the points part of the Eurovision Song Contest now, and to see if either of my favourites make it - I like Denmark and Malta!

Oh before I go I have to put this picture of Smiley on here - she was pleased with what Mum and Dad brought up for us!

Day 129

Work this morning, didn't start off too good, when I got there, there was a very young girl, that I am sure I have never seen before on my computer. She sent me away, saying that she had to be on it. OK no problem, I decided to ask my boss who she was, as that is the only computer I knew of where I can create pdf files. Big mistake on my part. I got told off for not knowing that she is the apprentice and has been for 6 months! AGH!!! Oh well, I did learn that he has a computer in his office that I can use to create my pdf files. Good in a way bad in another. I work to fast for my own good, and with the boss man watching I couldn't string it out like I would have liked and finished all my work for today and next Thursday by 10.30am! I hang around until 11 but then I had to leave.
I made good use of my early finish and went to a bra shop and got myself a bra to wear under my Dirndl, for Heike's wedding in the summer. Now even I have cleavage! *insert big grin*
(OK, the only photo I took today is of my underwear, and although I post just about everything on here, I'm not sure about this one, so no photo from today, have this one of yesterdays rainbow instead!)

This afternoon the boys had their new course - wood work. They had a great time, and me too. My friend, her daughter and I went for an ice cream at the nearby mall! Very yummy!

OK, I'll be back tomorrow night, whilst watching the Eurovision Song Contest!
CU then!

Day 121 - 128

So I lost the plot on May 1st- that was a bank holiday, then we went away for the weekend, and then this week, I couldn't be bothered, and now I have to play catch up again - bother! But I do want to catch up, cause I often use this blog to find out what we did when, and such, its been a great help in the past. So I will be back to catch up with these days. But for now I will do today! And be back!
