Day 120

I took plenty of pictures today but none I can show on my blog - I was taking pictures at Kindergarden again. But more about my day..

First up, English lesson at Kindergarden, but before I went I finished a book I had been lent by one of the Kindergarden teachers, and I also made a birthday card for a friend.
After English, I got a lot of washing and sorting done, and before I knew it Richard was home again. We had fishcakes with baked beans for lunch, very yummy.

After lunch and after Robert had finished some of his homework, we went to my friend's birthday party. At 5pm we left there for a little while, whilst Robert and Richard went to football training and I went for a brisk walk - 2.85km in 26 mins, I think that qualifies as a workout!
Then it was back to our friends for more partying! She made "Pizzarolls" - ooh they were delicious, I definitely need to get the recipe for them to make at home sometime! The boys loved them too!

Time for bed now, as we are planning to walk to the Sieberzmühle tomorrow, so we need to have all our energy for that! And rest assured there will be plenty of pictures tomorrow!

CU then!

Day 116, Day 117, Day 118 and Day 119

I had a great, very busy and exhausting weekend, and its time to catch up.

Day 116 - Friday
I worked til about 11, and after finishing I went to C&A and spent the last of my Xmas vouchers. I got a pair of sports trousers for my walking, along with a sports t-shirt and then I picked up a pair of 3/4 jeans and a t-shirt. Well all of those purchases are the reason that the weather changed. I had fully intended in using the sports trousers in the afternoon. But as soon as I got home, it started raining and it didn't let up all afternoon. Which meant that football training was cancelled, and that in turn meant no walking for me! Shame, I was quite looking forward to it.
So what did we do instead. Oh yeah, the boys and I played "Sorry" (it's like Ludo, without a dice) - Well, the boys thought it was hilarious, cause for the first whole round of cards, I didn't leave my home. I just watched my boys enjoying themselves playing. When I finally did come out, Robert sent me home with a "heartfelt" SORRY! We did laugh!!!

Florian was almost home in time for tea. We had started and he came home, I think it was the smell of freshly baked bread that called him home!

And he took the photo for today, not the best picture of me, but Lucky was so cute the way he was cuddled up to me!

Day 117 - Saturday
Florian went to sport really early and when he got back home again. I went to Aldi, and then to deliver a guitar to a friend. I was only going to drop it off, but I ended up there for quite a while chatting. Luckily no one sent out a search party for me, and we weren't too late having our lunch! But I think Florian having laid the table by the time I got back, might have helped.

After lunch we headed down to Mum and Dad's to drop the boys off there. They were having a sleepover at Mum and Dad's with Zoe and Mia! And we were off to see Mario Barth (a German comedian) in the Festhalle. But beforehand we went to Mediamarkt and had a look at the TVs. Florian earnt a bonus, and we will probably be spending it on a new TV - cool!

At just before 6pm we got to the venue for the comedian, and the doors were supposed to open at 6. They probably did, but we were quite a way from them, and were stood in the freezing cold for a good 45minutes before we got in. Brrrr!
We got quite good seats, so it was a good job we got there earlyish. This is a shot of the stage taken on Florian's mobile. Not allowed cameras and ours were at home!

It was great fun, and we laughed all the way through.

Day 118 - Sunday
I was up nice and bright and early, ready and slightly nervous for my big photography job today. I was in charge of all the photos of the village's Holy communion service. I went at 9.15am and I got back home at 3pm with 350 pictures for the kids and their families. I think I am safe sharing this one, cause it is going in the newspaper soon.

After the actual service, I visited all the children where they were having their parties and got lots of family group photos for all of them. I hope they are all pleased with the pictures. I at least had great fun taking them all, but I was totally exhausted by the evening! Which is why I didn't blog all this last night. I don't think I could have even spelt my own name!
Mum and Dad brought the boys back to us, and they had been as good as gold and had a great time. Lovely to hear - thank you Mum and Dad for our evening off!

Day 119 - Monday
And another busy day! First I went shopping and I did my good dead for the day at Aldi. Aldi had garden chairs on offer today, and there was a granddad on the car park, trying desparately to get two chairs and a sunlounger in his BMW (not a hatchback one). I offered to help him. But we had no chance, so he took one chair back in to the shop to leave it there and drive home empty the car and start again. Well when I came out of the shop again, there he was parked on the other side of me now, struggling again with 2 garden chairs. I think he must have got another one, when he got back. Well I offered my help again, and told him, if we don't succeed, that I would follow him home with one chair in my Corsa and deliver it. It never came to that, cause this time together we managed to get them on the back seat. And with the window open, he could even shut the doors. I think he was quite grateful for my help. and I felt good that I had been able to help.
After that it was time for school. I was there again taking pictures! It was the teacher's turn today, and they had as much fun as the kids did! Whilst we were setting up the camera, Richard and his friends helped us!

This afternoon went by quite quickly, but I am not really sure what I got up too...mmh, how did that happen. Once the boys had finished their homework, they went out to play with the girls and Heike later stopped by with her baby and the dog. I shut Lucky in the lounge so no one was upset today.

Some sad new this afternoon. our very proud cockerel was killed. The kids saw the murderous giant bird fly off, but it was too late for the cockerel. The boys are definitely country boys, cause it didn't bother them in the least. They told me, watched me "bury" him in the rubbish bin, and went to feed the chickens as originally intended. I am glad they are like that though, cause it really was just the circle of life at work here. My friend was impressed with both the boys attitude, and how I was able to clear it up. But then again, it wasn't the first murdered hen I have cleared up. And todays wasn't as bad as some of the others. The kids frightened the goshawk off before it got to eating, he was still at the plucking stage!

Day 115

I was having quite a good day today until after the football match. But I'll start at the beginning. So work first and I had something to do and wasn't sent home, so that was a good start. I did however leave a bit early to go to the opticians and have my lenses checked. I am slowly getting used to them, even if I do end up taking them out in the evenings. But it is great being able to read things again!

After lunch, Richard went to my friends to do his homework, whilst I went to sport with another friend. I enjoyed it as usual, and I am already feeling some new muscles :o)
When I got back from there, I had a message from my friend to join them in the garden for an "iced chocolate" (chocolate milk with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce) - I couldn't say no to that!!! So off I went. It was delicious. At 4.30 Richard and I headed home to be there for Robert coming home from school. He got his test back today and he did better than expected and he got a 4 - which is not good, but we were expecting a 6 (the worst mark) so a 4 was a relief. Before we went to Robert's football match, the boys were playing with some Lego cars they had built, and Robert has the ghost they made during the Easter holidays in his hand.

10 minutes later it was time to head to football. I took my book with me, and whilst Robert was playing football, and Richard was on the playground, I was reading. I only stood up to get some pictures, when the sun went behind a cloud, and then I went back to my book. I really am a bad "soccer mom"!

But then I became a "bad Mum" well, if you asked Robert that is probably what he would tell you. He came off of the pitch demanding a sausage, but as it was already past 7pm and Richard was complaining of being tired, I said no to the sausage, that resulted in a full blown paddy/tantrum, or whatever you would like to call it. It was not pretty. I told him that I was fed up with being growled at, and that there would be no sausage at any football match in the near future, if that was his attitude. He kept this up all the way into bed, and if he hadn't needed cream on an itch at 8.30ish, I still wouldn't have had him say nun night. And he only said it then with a growl - oh dear if he is like this now at 8, what will he be like as a teenager!

Day 114

This morning I headed off to school, I was in charge of taking the class photos for all the school. I had a great time, and we got some really great shots of the classes. Richard's class is really cute. All of the girls were in some shade of pink, so funny. I can't show any of those pictures, but I do have one of me, from when we were setting up the shots.

I had another Mum there to help me, and that was great, cause it is much easier getting the group photos set up, when there are two of you. Especially when it is kids under the age of 10 that you have to get into position!

This afternoon I was also wearing my photographer's cap - I am the official photographer for the Holy Communion on Sunday and today was rehearsal. I went along so I knew what I can and cannot do. Now I am all set for Sunday. And it is going to be much easier than at a wedding. I am allowed to move around and use the flash. I am so used to being given a spot in the corner somewhere and having to use the tripod to get a half decent picture, that this is going to be fun! But it is OK, I won't do too much moving around and I will wear trainers that are quiet! I got some nice shots of the rehearsal too, so if anyone does want a photobook, I'll have something fun for it too!
Whilst I was at church the boys were playing outside, and they had instructions, that if they needed anything to pop along the road to our friends! So when I finished at the church I went to see our friend too, and warmed up again chatting in her garden (it was freezing in the church).

Day 113

The boys headed off to school and after checking emails and reading the newspaper, decided that tackling the ironing could wait and headed off to the shops. I wanted to try a new recipe for lunch. I thought the boys would love it, but Richard wasn't in the mood for what he called "not another new food", and so didn't give it a chance. I thought it was delicious, and Robert liked it too. I think Richard may just have to give it another try on another day! I took a picture of it

it is Schnitzel with a mincemeat red pepper mushroom sauce. It was in the oven for 1.5 hours so it was lovely and tender. Delicious!

When Richard got home from school, he was already in a funny mood and so I had two boys today with homework issues. Richard didn't want to learn his poem about spring off by heart. He hadn't reckoned with me persevering! Speaking of persevering, I wore my new lenses all day today and wasn't too bothered about them at all! I'm getting there! If I can manage to last the evening too, I'll be there! woohoo!

This evening it was football training and I did what I had planned, I went walking. According to the app on my phone I walked 3.43 km in 36 minutes! Go me! It felt good, we do live in a beautiful place. This was the view in one place - only a mobile phone picture, but it gives you a feel.

And I am actually looking forward to training on Friday, when I get to do it again!

Day 112

Another one of my busy days today and I am exhausted now, but determined not to get behind on the blogging, so I'll just type faster! hihi!

So this morning started with shopping at Aldi, then I had to go to Kindergarden for their English lesson, followed by me taking pictures of all the kids. Their Mum's will be getting those photos for Mother's Day (2nd Sunday in May, Florian ;o)

Back home it was almost time for Richard to come home, and whilst he was doing his homework, I made lunch, so that it was ready when Robert got home, cause straight after lunch it was back out again. First we had an  appointment at the doctors with Richard and then straight after that an appointment for both boys at the dentist, which luckily is right next door.

I took these two photos on my phone at the doctors.

Robert was NOT happy that he had to a) come along to the doctors and b) had to start on his homework there. He kept growling at Richard and me.
But as you can see, we didn't really care!

Both doctors appointments went well. Tummy is nearly better and their teeth were cleaned nicely. The dentist had never heard of people being allergic to toothpaste, but did reckon if the kids swallowed enough of it, it could happen. Whatever it was, I am just glad we now know!

Back home again, Richard went out to play with the kids from the road, and Robert got to do even more homework. Unfortunately for both of us, I do not have the patience of a saint, and he ended up crying and I felt like I should join him. Hopefully tomorrow goes better, a friend has offered to sit and help him, if all else fails this week. We'll see!

OK, off to bed now to recharge my batteries!

Day 109, Day 110 and Day 111

Day 109 - Friday
I took the boys and their guitars to school this morning. And once there had a chat to Robert's maths teacher. He is struggling with maths at the minute and I think he is really frustrated with himself. The homework we struggled with on Wednesday we still haven't managed to finish, mainly because instead of trying he just "switches off". I don't know how else to describe it.
After talking to his teacher it was a relief to hear that some of the other kids are struggling too. But we both agreed that "the switching off" is not a good thing. But when he does that, I don't know what to do, and just get mad at him. I think I need to start counting to 100 instead of only just 10!

From school I headed to work, and I was there the whole morning, no calls from school, and enough work to stay! :o)
After work, I dashed along to the opticians and picked up my multifocal lenses. I didn't try them out straight away, but I did after lunch. Ooh it is a strange feeling. I could see things close up and far away but anything in between was all out of focus. One of my facebook friends built my confidence up though, she has them too and loves them. BUT she did take over two weeks to get used to them, so I just have to persevere!
I left them in for just an hour, and that was plenty for the first day.
Once they were out, it was off to football training. Whilst the boys were training my friend and I (she joined me up at the sports field with her baby and dog) went walking. It felt good to be doing something to keep fit, and at the same time having a good chat!

And here is today's picture

This is Richard showing me how is tummy feels today whilst standing on his head! Don't ask! all I know is that it was a LOT LOT better today!

Day 110 - Saturday
Today was a weird day really, fun but weird. I took the boys to the art school for their trip to the leather museum. And whilst I was gone Florian went to the hairdressers and sport.
We then had a lovely chat and lunch together. Then  I am not quite sure where the time went, but it was then time for Florian to go and get the boys, and on the way he went to get some shopping for Sunday.
Once Florian was gone I had an hour before I had to go out, and I decided to take my contact lenses out for a trial run in the fresh outdoor air. I put on Florian's mp3 player and off I went. It was a very very brisk walk, but fun. I might just do that again!

When I got back it was time to go out again. I was taking pictures at a hen party. The girls there were in a great mood, and it was a pleasure to take the pictures, they made it really easy for me! Not sure whether I can post them, so you'll have to make do with a picture I took whilst waiting for the girls.

Do you like it? I sent it off to the newspaper today, they feature photos on the weather page, and I thought this one was perfect for spring. I'll let you know if it gets published!

Day 111 - Sunday
My first job of the day was to make some Ciabatta for our BBQ today. Yesterday it was soooo cold, but today the sun knew we planned to BBQ so it came out and warmed everything up again for us! And we had another lovely Sunday with friends and family (Florian's sister came too).

Our niece went home with 4 of my old dresses. They were too nice to give away to the old clothes collections, but I will never ever fit into a size 36 again, even if I am still losing weight (not sure why seeing as I still love chocolate!) Anyhow my niece looked gorgeous in all of them, she now has to decide which she wants to wear for her confirmation and then have it made smaller. Can't wait to see which she chooses!

After we had eaten way too much delicious BBQ food, we all went for a walk again. Three of us, started our "runtastic" apps on our phones at exactly the same time and place and we all had different results at the end of it.
I walked 1.77km and burned 174 calories
Heike walked 1.91 km and burned 182 calories
Marcel walked 1.85 km and burned 316 calories
Possibly not the most accurate of apps, but somehow it motivates me, so I will keep using it, but I will be ignoring the calorie count!
Today was only a walk though, so I wasn't concentrating on calories anyway and had time to snap a couple of pictures!

Day 108

Today didn't quite go according to plan. It started off OK enough, well sort of. Richard woke up with tummy ache at 6.15, so we had a cuddle in my bed until the alarm went off to get up, and I convinced him that going to school was a good idea. And I was quite sure it was, but at 9.15am I got a call at work, could I come and pick Richard up. So I dropped everything and went and picked him up. Luckily I had finished the work that was already there for me, so I didn't leave them with half finished work!

Back home he didn't seem to bad, and he was most disgusted, that I didn't let him watch TV for the rest of the morning, but I don't want him thinking that that is what happens when he gets me to pick him up from school.
There is some weird tummy bug going round, so I hope it is what he had, cause I really don't think I can do more diets and such. Tonight when he went to bed, he was feeling a lot better though, so fingers xed!

Whilst I went to sport this afternoon he went to my friends and did his homework there with her girls and then they spent the rest of the afternoon playing together! I enjoyed my sport, but I'll be hurting again in the morning. Robert had a long day today, but when he got home, he said he had finished his homework, and I sent him off to join the fun with Richard and the girls.

I didn't take a picture today, but I did take some yesterday of the photobook I made for the Kindergarden teacher. She was thrilled to bits with it, and has promised to let me know what her parents think, when she gives it to them!

I spent some of the money she gave me for making it yesterday, i have now got a nice new pair of 3/4 length trousers for the summer, although if the weather keeps this up, I could well be wearing them at the weekend!

Day 107

Help, I think I need to slow down, but not quite sure how, we had such a busy day today!
First up, library duty, which was of course fun as always, but the morning was gone. When I got back, I did the long overdue library accounting, and we now know that we can spend 111 Euros all on books! Sounds like we will be visiting ebay a lot in the upcoming future for some bargains!
After lunch, Robert struggled his way through his homework. For some reason he really is struggling and he didn't get it finished, I am hoping that in the morning he can, otherwise I am going to have to write him a note again.
We had to leave early, cause he has grown out of his football shoes and even managed to skip a size, so the pair I thought I had for him, didn't fit, and we need new ones. So before we went to art school, we went shopping. It had to be today and then, cause directly after art school we had to go to a football game.
He loved the shoes he got, and swears that the made him better! Here he is posing with them and in action!

This evening Richard had tummy ache again, my friend wondered if he is perhaps picking up on the stressful days this week, and if that is the reason for his tummy. Thinking of it, she could be right, cause he has had nothing really to set of the tummy ache.
And he even came down at one point feeling sick - poor thing. I eventually had him bed at 9pm so he is going to be even more exhausted tomorrow!

And I will be too, if I don't get myself to bed

Day 106

Busy day today - first up shopping, I was there and back within 45 minutes, not bad going! Then I made up the books for the kids at Kindergarden and headed there. The kids were intent on not joining in today, but who knows maybe next week, they will remember something!
Straight after Kindergarden I headed to the hairdressers, and I now look lovely and young again, and am all caught up on village gossip and what is going on in Robert's class.
The most interesting and bothering information was the fact that the test I thought Robert was writing tomorrow, he was writing today. AGH!!! What to do with him, he told me he was writing it on Wednesday, and when I asked him when he got home from school, about it, he said "I told you Tuesday or Wednesday" - well even that is silly. I think I need to chat to his teacher tomorrow, when I am at the library! Dates like that need to be written in his homework book. But I somehow have the feeling I will hear that it was supposed to have been! AGH kids!

Florian got to China safely and we got to talk to him this afternoon. The boys went to play with friends after their homework, and I cleaned the kitchen up for my visitors this evening.

The headmistress and 2 other Mums came round and we worked on the book for the 40 year school celebration. I will get to take all the class photos for the book, that'll be great fun.

I went out with the camera this afternoon and captured Spring - yep it is finally here too!

And the boys decided to bring Spring home with them, someone somewhere is a little bit missing, but it looks nice on my table!

Day 105

Summer was still here today, it was gorgeous out! When the boys got home from school, one went straight to find a T-shirt, the other even asked if he could wear shorts and have the paddling pool out! That didn't happen, but I was OK with us all wearing short sleeves!

Florian didn't leave today until 4.10pm. that is when the taxi came to pick him up to go to the airport. He is travelling to China tonight. Its a direct flight so he is somewhere high up in the sky snoring (I think) right now! Unfortunately when he asked me to download an audiobook for him, I decided to charge his Kindle at the same time, and when the time came for him to leave, we both forgot. So he is now reading a book he bought.

Once he left chaos broke loose here, well it seemed like it to me. The boys insisted that staying home and playing in our garden was a bad idea, even though it was nearly time to go to Richard's football match, and off they went with strict instructions to come home at 4.45pm. Whilst they were gone I picked up a little one at Kindergarden who was coming with us to football. The boys did get back on time, but Robert was in a right strop, apparently Richard wouldn't take the ball on his bike (Richard has a carrier bit, Robert's doesn't). Richard didn't feel guilty he apparently didn't hear Robert ask. But he did know Robert was taking longer, cause of the football.
After dealing with a homework meltdown earlier, I just didn't have the nerve to deal with the football/bicycle dilemma as well and was really really grumpy. I made them both apologise to one another and then off we went for football.

Richard's football boots don't fit him either, I think if they finish their homework in time tomorrow, we should probably go shoe shopping....

Richard saved about 10 goals (that is what he told me, I wasn't paying attention again) unfortunately 7 slipped passed him and they lost 7:0.
Better luck next time, kids!

This is Robert at football, finishing the homework he melted down over at home! Can you tell, that he played some football before sitting down to his homework ;o)

We got home about 7.30, but I managed to get the boys in bed by 8pm. They even had a shower first!

Day 103 and Day 104

Day 103 - Saturday

This morning Florian asked Richard to play him a tune on the guitar, and he actually really enjoyed himself, maybe we will get him enthusiastic after all. Here he is playing for us (and Lucky too)

Florian left for sport after being serenaded and once he got back we set off to visit Mum and Dad. We got there in time for lunch.

After lunch I had to go to Opel and get my tyres changed. When I got there, I thought that I was perhaps in the wrong place as I couldn't see a single sign or anything, but when I went in to ask, there was a sign on the wall behind me. Phew, it would have been a rush to get elsewhere in time!

When I got back the boys were watching a film with Mum and Dad "Wilde Kerle 2" - Richard was really involved with it, it was so cute! He wasn't quite so cute at the restaurant.
He was really grumpy, cause I only drove Mum and me to the restaurant and he had to walk. And at the restaurant, he decided to carry on being grumpy and refused to order any food! Kids!
when I told him that there would be no food back home, he decided that he would order Schnitzel - sorry no can do, to late now. But we all gave him some of our meals, and in the end I think he ate, more than we did!
But other than grumpy Richard it was a lovely day, and I didn't take nearly enough photos. Better luck next time!

Day 104 - Sunday

Summer is here! Seemed like we skipped Spring today. We spent all day outside in the sunshine, without coats or anything!
We had friends round for a barbecue, it was delicious as always and my homemade ciabatta bread went down a treat! It's so yummy, especially with some Tzatziki.
After we all filled up on food. We all went for a walk, that is 6 adults, one teenager, 6 kids, one baby and three dogs! It was lovely. Here a couple of pictures! Oh, yeah, before we got started, Richard fell into a dirty puddle and we had to go back and change! Kids!

Back home, we had walked enough to make room for some dessert. Yummy!

We finally came in around 6pm, but not because it was getting cold, just because it was time to get the boys some tea and into bed!

I have now finished the 2012 photobook. Just one last check to be done before I send it off to be printed.

Day 102

Hihi, so everyone probably thinks, I am going to miss blogging again today, like I often have on Fridays but I thought I would surprise you and myself!

First thing this morning, Richard and I headed to the doctors and he massaged the spasm in Richard's neck. It would have been easier if  he was older, then he would have relaxed more, but the doctor said, it will hurt him for a while but should be better soon, and tonight it was sooo much better - phew!

I got Richard to school just after 9am and then I headed to work until lunchtime. I picked the boys up from school today as I wanted to talk to their guitar teacher. She thinks Richard is the most talented of the small group but he really doesn't want to carry on, the teacher and I agree that is because of all the work it involves. But as we have paid up until the summer holidays we have time to make him believe too, that he has it in him, wish us luck!
Back home we had a quick snack, then picked Robert's friend up and then headed into town. Where we met my friend and her girls and had an ice cream. It was delicious!

After ice cream it was off to the Mütze where the kids got to join in two kids groups, one for boys and one for girls. They all had a super time and it only cost 50 cents each! And we got two hours of peace to go shopping in!

This evening I have been working on the 2012 photobook whilst watching Jack Bauer with Florian.

Day 101

Work this morning and a lot of it, so time passed quickly. I hadn't been for a long while, so I had some catching up to do with my friend, that was nice too.

After work it was home for a quick lunch with Richard, then he went to do his homework at my friends house and with his friends, whilst I picked up another friend and off to sport we went. It wasn't quite so difficult today, at least my arms weren't but for some reason my right leg felt the electricity a lot more than the rest of me. Made me giggle for most of the session though. But as usual I can already feel all muscles this evening. But when I showered tonight, I got on the scales and I am now down to 60kg, that means I have lost 13.5kg since June! I celebrated that with a small bar of dark chocolate!

This evening Robert had a football match, as he wanted me to watch I didn't go for a walk today, can't really say I watched though, I was too busy catching up with other "soccer mom's" who I hadn't seen for a while! But I did remember to take a picture or two!

Looks like Richard might have been a bit bored!

Tomorrow morning it looks like I will be going to the doctor's with Richard, on his way home from school at the busstop something happened and now he can't turn his head and it really hurts, so it seems he has something trapped. I gave him some calpol so that he can sleep, but I am not really sure it will have disappeared in the morning, but I would be quite happy if I am proved wrong!

Day 100

Another trip to the opticians today, and still no new bifocal lenses, but maybe next week. Apparently the lenses just don't want to sit in the middle of my eyes, and that is why I keep having to have test lenses! I had to wander around for an hour and then go back to the opticians to check them again. So I tried out the new app on my phone. I would show you were I walked, but I can't get the picture to save properly and it is getting late now. But it was only really a test. But fun!

This afternoon it was art school for the boys, we hadn't been for a long while, and the boys were quite excited about going. My friend and her baby came along and we went shopping together, whilst the boys did their painting. Richard was quite excited to show us his picture when we got there, and he took this picture with my phone! Spring has sprung here!

Our photo book came today, and I am very pleased with it, and can't wait to show it off, maybe I'll take it in to work tomorrow and show my friend there!
OK off to bed now
CU tomorrow

Oh nearly forgot, as I am again waiting for my new lenses, I bought a really cheap pair of reading glasses to get my by until then - I really am getting old now!

Day 99

Busy day today. First off I got some more washing started, then it was off to Kindergarden for an English lesson and to show the kindergarden teacher her photobook. She really liked it, but the cover I had made for it, wasn't in the style of her parents. So I spent lunchtime and some of this evening giving the page a different background. She now has about 15 to choose from, hopefully she will like one or the other.

This afternoon Robert's friend came round to play, and whilst they were upstairs having a great time. I got the ironing done. And look who was watching me!

Once I had finished, I let the boys and their friend have a game on the Wii before it was time for football training. I had a great plan for when they are training, I was going to make the most of the hour and walk maybe one day in the future jog. I had downloaded an app for my phone to track my progress and was ready to go. BUT the weather didn't want any of us, to do any sport. Just before we left heavens opened. No one called to cancel, but I managed to get one of the Mum's on the phone, and apparently they were really going to go ahead with the training. Well, without us, after Robert being off of school twice before Easter I am not going to be that stupid.
Oh well, its football again on Thursday, so I'll try again then!

I have been sorting pictures this evening and tomorrow I should be ready to start on the 2012 photobook!

Day 98

Kids were back to school today, and according to Robert it was the best day ever - that could have had something to do with the fact, that half of his class weren't there, cause they had their Holy Communion yesterday, and it seems that they get the following day off if that is the case! At least he had no homework today and we were able to revise for the German test he is writing tomorrow!

Richard had a bit of homework, but he was finished in no time!

After that we had a game of Yahtzee, and it may sound hard to believe, but it's true, with absolutely NO cheating (and I watch them like a hawk, when playing this game) we ALL got a Yahtzee! Here are the boys looking very pleased with themselves about it!

And then we met up with a friend and all went for a walk, and that included the dogs! It was lovely to be out in the not quite so cold air and a little bit of sunshine! Here a couple of pictures from the start of the walk!

This evening I have been finishing off the cover of the photobook for the Kindergarden teacher, we'll see what she thinks tomorrow!

CU then!

Day 95, Day 96 and Day 97

Oops, been watching too much Jack Bauer this weekend, and neglecting my blog, sorry! But here I am now!

Day 95 - Friday
Back to the Mütze again this morning, the boys were signed up for an experiment workshop. They had a super time according to them, although what they actually did, I don't know. They did make a telephone, the one with plastic beakers and a tightly pulled string! I meant to get a photo of them using it, but got side tracked, but I will and then post it right here!

In the afternoon Felix came round to play with the boys, they had a super time, it was much too cold to play outside, but they had fun on the Carrerabahn and Felix had bought his Nintendo, so they had fun on that too! And I got a lot of tidying up done, whilst they were upstairs!

Florian got home nice and early, which was good, cause I went out in the evening. It was a get together of all those that helped with the carnival in February - I took photos, so I got to go too. It was a fun evening. There was great food and chat! I was back at 10ish, that is when all those that were drinking started getting a bit too funny for me who wasn't drinking! ;o)
Back home of course we watched another Jack Bauer or two!

Day 96 - Saturday
We had a pretty lazy Saturday morning, well, after I went and got the shopping and fresh rolls for breakfast! Even I had roll when I got back, complete with sprinkles!
We then we decided that going out for lunch would be a good idea, and when it was time, we went to our favourite Italian in town. The pizza was delicious, even the boys were impressed. And after Florian took us to the ice-cream parlour, the one that has a whole menu dedicated to Spaghetti Ice Cream. And even though we were full of Pizza we managed to squeeze in a spaghetti ice cream! YUMMY!

It was freezing out, but we were in there pretending that we were in cause it was too busy outside in the heat, and we were all wearing long sleeves to hide from the sun! Too bad, it wasn't true, it was actually sleeting out!

When we got home the boys went to Robert's friend to play, we put the fire on and I worked on scanning the photos for the photobook I am making for someone and we watched 24 at the same time! Lovely lazy afternoon!

Day 97 - Sunday
Florian took the boys swimming this morning. Whilst they were gone I worked on the photobook again, both mine and the one for the kindergarden teacher! They were all back quite quickly though, apparently Robert decided today was the day to misbehave! So Florian brought them straight back home, and put a "no TV" ban on! Robert carried on this behaviour at home to and when he stuck his tongue out at Florian he spent quite a long while in his bedroom! He apologised at lunchtime though!

After lunch, they again went to play with Robert's friend, only today they all went on a long walk to the football ground where they played football! Cause today the sun actually came out - which after waking up to frost/snow on the ground was quite a surprise.
When Florian went to his sport, I went out armed with the garden scissors and tidied up the front garden. You have to make the most of the sun when it is out you never know when it will be back!

The boys and Florian all got back about the same time and as there was no TV, they all had a look at one of our photobooks, that I had out. And THIS is why I love making them!
They had a great time reminiscing!
I ordered our 2011 book this evening, and am now working on sorting 2012 photos, we should be up to date, very soon!

CU tomorrow!

Day 94

Today the boys were back at the Mütze today it was "crafting for boys" -they made a Knight's castle there, and they had a great time. I didn't do too bad either. First I went to Lidl (sorry Aldi!) and got a new saucepan. Now I know I am going mad, getting excited about a saucepan, seems like some good things came out of Richard having tummy ache after all! Now I need to make soup so I can use it!
And after shopping, I went and had a hot chocolate and read the magazines I got whilst shopping - and yep one of them was a cookery one! Saw some lovely looking stuff to try out!

Back home I took a picture of the boys and their castles.

Now to find a home for them, right now they are still in the middle of the lounge floor. Lucky keeps looking at them as if he would love to climb inside and live in a castle unfortunately for him, they aren't quite big enough!

In the afternoon I popped to Kindergarden and I will now be making a photobook for one of the Kindergarden teachers, she wants to give it to her parents as a present for their 60th wedding anniversary! But before I started on that, I finished the cover for my photobook. Should be able to order it tomorrow, when I sort out the backgrounds for the pages!

This evening I watched the film "Trust" with Clive Owen directed and written by David Schwimmer. A MUST for any parent, we need to know what can be out there, so that we are better equipped to act before anything happens! Well done to my SIL in catching the signs early.
It was frightening watching it, as it is just so real. But I would put in on the curriculum at every school if I had anything to do with it!

Off to bed now
CU tomorrow!

Day 93

This morning the boys took part in a T-shirt painting "course" - I don't think that is quite the word I am looking for, but you know what I mean! It was at the Mütze, where we used to go a lot when they were little. They had a great time, and already had some ideas before they left home. And this is what they came home wearing!

I love them, Robert knew exactly what he wanted on his T-shirt right down to the wording!

Whilst they were there I went to the opticians again, to have these lenses checked, they don't sit quite right, but he will try and correct that when he orders my bi-focal lenses, they should be here in about a week. I can't wait, cause it is slowly getting really annoying guessing what I am typing on my phone and such!

This afternoon I took it easy, my bladder feels like it has been punched badly, so I kept it warm and full of cranberries, and I hope by tomorrow it will be feeling better! (My friend brought around some tea for it tonight and some urin sticks, so I can check myself in the morning if I need to see a doctor for something stronger!)

The boys went out to play for a bit, but it was so cold and windy out, that they were back in about 45 minutes later, frozen right through and ready to watch a film! They watched Scooby Doo again!

Off to bed now

Day 92

First of all - Happy Anniversary to us!

Now do I give away my secret, before I could remember myself, I got an ecard from Mum and Dad. But I know I would have remembered - it's on the calendar!

First thing this morning it was time for sport. I left the boys home watching a film and with permission to play on the Wii when the film finished! And Nanna was on speed dial for emergencies. I took my cell phone with me this time, but no emergency calls! I think we all had a good time. Although after not going to sport for two weeks, I found it really difficult today, and I probably won't be able to move tomorrow!

When I got back home I found Lucky very comfy on top of my "not so well guarded" laptop! Cheeky cat!

After lunch the boys went upstairs and built up the Carrera Racing track. I meant to get a picture of them playing with it, but I got sidetracked by the ironing and changing beds and other such exciting things. Maybe I'll get a picture tomorrow.
Whilst they were building it up, I was sorting photos on the computer, then all of a sudden there was no connection to the external harddrive.... can you feel the panic starting. I turned the computer off and on again, still no connection. As I wasn't sure, which harddrive is which I decided to ask Florian in the evening, and check emails instead. mmh very weird the router tried to talk to me! Then it started to dawn on me, where the boys are, and where the computer bits are, so upstairs I go. The boys hadn't accidentally done anything, nope, but they did unplug everything in the room so they can use the plugs for the racing track! oops!! Luckily it was all fixed by plugging it all back in! No loss of photos, phew!

CU tomorrow!

Day 91

No snow today and the sprinkling soon disappeared as the sun was out all day. But it was still freezing out, so we had the fire on all day again!

It was a really lazy day, which started with rolls that Florian got at the bakers. The boys and I had sprinkles on them! Yummy! After that I watched the first (German) Famous Five film with the boys. Richard was so excited about it all, too cute!

We finished off the rolls at lunchtime, then in the afternoon the boys went outside to play. I made the most of the peace and quiet and started on a photobook for 2011 (yep, I know I am behind)!

All I have to do now is the backgrounds for the pages and design a new cover for the book, then it can go off to be printed. Luckily I have a 30 Euros off voucher, as it is a lot of pages and quite expensive! But it will be great to have!

CU tomorrow!
