Day 302

Work this morning, with all I had to tell my friend there you would think I had been away for weeks not only since Wednesday! Still never boring around here!

I finished my texts by about 11am so I left then as I had run out of just about everything in the fridge, and it needed a refill! Richard was at Kindergarden all day so it was just me and Robert for lunch. I made him his favourite "Geschnetzeltes mit Spätzle" (chicken in a creamy sauce with german style noodles) He was a happy chappy.
After lunch, I made him sit down and do his homework straight away as he seemed to have rather a lot, that proved to be a good idea, cause his friend phoned - can Robert come and play. And because he had started his homework early he could!

Whilst he was out, Katrin, another Mum and I took down the last traces of the Halloween party! The three of us together had it all done in an hour! Now our garage looks like a garage again (all be it a very tidy one now!)!

At 4.30 I picked Richard up again, and when we were home he wanted to make something. I have stopped hoarding my special paper now and he had a couple of different sheets of gold paper and some green and set about making a card for Father Christmas. He will be putting his Xmas list on the back at the end of November! He is sooooo creative. He did all of this without ANY help from me. All I did was give him the supplies!

When Robert got home and before tea, he had to write the text again (practice for a dictation coming up soon) and whilst Robert was doing that, Richard was tracing a picture. He did an amazing job of it. Even more so when you think he is a bit handicapped with his finger!

OK, having an early night tonight, my body clock is still set to last weeks time and I think some sleep will do me good!

Day 301

Not sure why, but when I got up this morning everything ached! Mmmh, perhaps I am not used to partying with the kids! When I finally got my muscles working - sometime after breakfast - it was out to yesterdays party area for some clearing up! There were a LOT of cups that needed washing up, thank goodness for dishwashers! Ours has been running well today. After lunch though it was time to enjoy our Sunday and relax. My men enjoyed theirs by watching Scrapheap Challenge - don't they look cute!

After that Robert, Florian and I had a game of Qwirkle and Richard was creative. He made himself a lovely pair of wings out of paper, wool and some sparkly sticky tape. It was so so cute, but unfortunately he wouldn't let us take a picture of him wearing them, so you'll just have to take my word for it!

Later, well more like right before teatime, I made some popcorn with the left overs from the game yesterday, I didn't tell the boys that we were popping monster teeth! Might have been a good laugh though!

Ooh, I nearly forgot today we bathed Richard's hand, something the doctor recommended, and Katrins Mum recommended what to bathe it in (chamomile extract). I got Florian to take a picture of it, Richard wasn't at all sure about the whole thing but this evening when I was getting him ready for bed, he asked if he could have another bath for his hand tomorrow. So I think it must have felt quite good!

Day 299 and Day 300

Day 299 - Friday
oops, I didn't take a single photo on Friday, but if I was to write down all that I did, you would see, there was just NO time for pictures!
The day started off quite relaxing, I had a hairdressers appointment, and for the first time in a long long while, I beat people to saying "time you went to the hairdressers". It was a good idea making the appointment straight away, so now I have my next appointment made for December!

After the hairdressers, I drove into town to the health insurance company, to take them the bills from Richard's accident in Belgium. Unfortunately it was a bit of a waste of time. They want to wait until the bills from the hospital come too (so far I only have the doctor and the ambulance bill), until then I have to pay the bills and wait. Back home it was time to start getting lunch ready and pick Richard up. After lunch it was Richard back to Kindergarden, and feed Robert who arrived, just before I took Richard back.

At 2.30pm I had to take Robert and his friend to another friend for a birthday party outing. (They were going to Takka Tukka Land). At 3pm I had to pick Richard up from Kindergarden and at the same time, let my friends in the barn to put the finishing touches to the barn for the Halloween party. At 4pm I was off again, taking Richard to football training. Then back home to help in the barn some more, then at 4.40pm I had to set off to pick Florian up at the station. Back home, at 5.30pm I stopped the party planning session and we headed for the football field to pick Richard up. When we got there Richard was in a right mess. Sometime during the day, I think it was when I picked him up at lunchtime (but I am not sure) he complained of having something in his eye. I couldn't see anything , so I gave him some of my eyedrops, which just wet the eye and he said that it was OK. Well obviously it wasn't really and when we picked him up, he couldn't even open his eye and was screaming and crying. So after dropping Florian off at home, so that someone was home when Robert got in. Richard and I went to hospital! We didn't have to wait long to see the doctor, BUT when we did see him, he couldn't really help us, as he too couldn't get Richard to relax enough to open his eye and look. He referred us to the eye doctor, but his emergency service didn't "open" until 9.30pm (it was just after 7pm when we were at the hospital). The doctor there was really apologetic and said that the only thing he could do, was prescribe some eyedrops (different to the ones I had) and that we should go to the eye doctor at 9.30pm if it didn't help. Well, Richard fell asleep in the car on the way home, even back home I couldn't get him to wake enough to get him out of the car. So off to bed he went, I managed to get a couple of drops into his eye and we left it at that. He didn't wake up in the night, and this morning he was able to open his eye.

Day 300 - Saturday
I gave Richard some more drops this morning and at 11am, when I knew the eye doctor would be there, I asked him how it felt and all is good again - phew!!
So today was Halloween party day! It was exhausting but great! Like I have said we did a disco for the kids and I was in and out of it dancing with them all and making sure they were all having a great time! I loved doing the party song "Tschu tschu Wa" with them. I once went and rounded them all up for a second go of singing it and they ALL came running into the disco with me.

We also had a game prepared, where the kids had to feel funny things in a box. they all loved that

Sticky witches hair = licorice; maggots = cooked rice; Eyeballs = cut grapes; knocked out teeth = unpopped popcorn! Amazing what tricks the mind can play on you, even when you know what is in the boxes! That popcorn really felt like little teeth!!

We are all worn out now, and I really should have been in bed long ago, but now I am going

Day 298

My surprise visitors stayed for breakfast and got to see Richard, but Robert missed out, and he was soooo disappointed when he got home from school and they really were gone! I had told him, but for some reason he chose not to believe me!
At 9am both visitors and Richard and I left. Our visitors drove home and Richard and I went to Kindergarden. I had an English lesson to give. My kids weren't too bad, they still can't remember a few of the words, but I have decided to move on next week. Next week we will be doing vehicles - have to keep the boys happy too!
I did make a game for them for today and they really enjoyed that, it included learning the numbers 1-6 and I am not sure, whether they were having a number problem in general or whether it was the English. We'll try again next week!

After Kindergarden, I did some more washing and dishwashing, and whilst the two machines were working, I did some creating! I finished a star I started making at the weekend. It is all origami, not a bit of glue in sight!

It is really hard to photograph though, cause from the picture on the packet, THIS has turned out completely different, it is much more 3d than it looked. I have tried to capture that, but not sure it actually worked. Maybe tomorrow in the daylight!

This afternoon whilst Robert was doing his homework, we had a bit of a run in. He was telling a rather tall tale about someone stealing his sticker doubles, he changed his story at least 3 times during the course of the homework. I was totally confused at the end and had no idea which story to believe. The last one being that the child from school, had taken them home to swap there and bring them back in the morning. Totally different to "he stole my stickers". I left it at that then. It was by then time to get Richard from Kindergarden. And then it was off to sport for us all!

Robert had a great time there, it was running and more running and more running today - he LOVED it! I just have to teach him, that he will be quicker if he isn't checking out the other runners all the time! I snapped a picture with my phone (didn't want to upset the teacher on the first day!) He is the one sort of bending over in the middle!

Whilst there I had a nice chat with his friends Mum, and found out about another tall tale he has been telling us. On Tuesday Florian specifically asked him about his sports lesson and he told us all about it, how he had done a race and won it, and who was with him and all sorts of other details. I have since found out, that he didn't have sport on Tuesday, cause the boys had all been too noisy, so they had to stay in the classroom. Even when questioned he is still adamant, that he had sport on Tuesday!
Not sure yet quite what to do about all these tales he is making up, but I need to nip it in the bud. Any suggestions welcome! (oh and if you didn't follow all the tales don't worry, I'm still not sure what is going on!)

And to top the day off, Robert has a funny toe nail, tomorrow I am going to try and find a minute to take him to the chiropodist (is that the one that does feet?), cause I am not sure how to sort this one out. The nail is fixed on both sides but about 3/4cm down it has split off completely! Goodness knows how that happened, it apparently doesn't hurt, so it can wait until after school!

Day 297

Beware, this was another of those 3 in 1 days!

First up was the early morning! We got Robert off to school no problem this morning, then it was time for me to change Richard's bandage. He was nearly brave enough to have a look this morning, but I am glad he changed his mind, cause when I took the bandage off, it seemed like quite a bit of the tip of his finger was pulled up with it! I really thought he was going to need either stitches again or at the very least one of those plasters that pull things together. Well at 8am on the dot I was on the doctors doorstep, and within 20 minutes it was our turn. It didn't look quite as bad when he "unpacked" it, and he put my mind at rest telling me that there is a lot of dead skin and that that was what had lifted up. It will come off in time but that it will take time. I was so relieved!
After that I took him to Kindergarden and he couldn't wait to show his friends his bandage, as today it was a red one!

I then went home and had some breakfast, hadn't been able to stomach that beforehand! Then it was off to the apple juice place for me, where I delivered 59kg of apples! They are open for another 3 weeks, so I think we will be making at least one more visit before they close!

Back home I set about tidying up the utility room -that involved a LOT of washing! But I'm getting there, shouldn't be too much of a task before the halloween party! Then at 12 I had to pick Richard up and get him fed and back to Kindergarden by 1pm. We managed on time and saw Robert on our way to Kindergarden, I told him to wait at the front door for when I got back. When I got back - can't have been 5 minutes later - he was on the doorstep doing his maths homework. He certainly put the time to good use!

In the afternoon we played Qwirkle together - Robert won! And at 4pm we had to rush to pick Richard up, cause at 4.30pm it was time for Art School! They had a great time there, and I had a good time too. Whilst they were painting and cutting, I visited a new shopping centre that had opened nearby. It was a very nice shopping centre. I got the boys a present each and some stickers. And I also got Robert some sports shoes, as tomorrow his talent sports group starts!

Here are the boys with their presents, I got Richard some highlighter pens, ever since he saw someone using them on holiday he has wanted some, so I was his "best, best, best, best, best, best Mummy" when he saw what he had got.

And I got Robert the Chinese game Tangram. He had been playing it in maths before the holidays, so as it was drastically reduced, I got him one. He too was over the moon! (oh and you can probably tell, that they also got some stickers!)

At 6.45pm I had a phone call from friends. And I got the giggles when I realised, that they were only 3 hours away from coming to stay the night! Oops, I had remembered last week, but with all the finger business I totally forgot. So I then had to get the beds and bathroom ready for them! I work best under pressure, so I was finished in plenty of time! I even had time to prepare my English lesson for tomorrow! (I have made them a dice game to play!)

Day 296

Back to work this morning, luckily there wasn't much to do, cause I did have rather a lot of stories to tell my friend at work! Luckily all with a happy ending!
Speaking of which Richard was fine today, no trauma from having the stitches out yesterday.

In the afternoon Robert was all excited that his friend was coming around to play and was busy finishing up his homework, when I got a phone call from his friends Mum. Apparently the friend was supposed to stay home finish his homework, and then wait for his Mum to call me, and then come around to play. Well, this little chappy got it all wrong, he left without letting his Mum know and came round to play. I sent him home again until 3, when Robert would be finished with his homework, only he didn't go home, he just rode his bike up and down the road until I went out after his Mum called asking me to send the naughty chappy home again! Poor Robert was heartbroken, through no fault of his own, his friend wasn't allowed to play.
Daddy and I made up for it for him and we all played Qwirkle together. We let Robert keep score for us, so without him even knowing he was practising maths! (and doing really well too!)

After one game I went and got Richard and then we all went in the garden to collect our apples, we have another two sacks full for the apple juice place (in the morning!). Unfortunately then it was time to say goodbye to Florian, well nearly first we had to get him to the station. He is feeling a lot better and ready to work in the morning. We all missed him at tea time though, and the boys had me take a picture of them on my mobile and send it to him!

Daddy sent one back!

I did take some other pictures today too, the first before I went to work. This is the boys pouring over the toy catalogue that I picked up for them yesterday! I don't think there was much in there that they didn't want for Xmas...!

And then on my way to work I just HAD to stop to get a shot of this beautiful sunrise. It was even more pretty about 500m before the car park, but I couldn't really just stop in the middle of the road! The colours on this photo are much more like it was in real (I posted one I took on my mobile phone on facebook, and that had washed out colours)

And Florian might be waiting to see this picture, again Robert is looking through the toy catalogue, only this time he doesn't realise he is talking to the man who tells Santa how much he can spend!!

Day 295

Poor poor Richard, today he had his stitches out, and boy did he scream. Apparently fingers are really sensitive with all the nerves running up and down them, so having anything done is not really a pleasure. About half way through having them done he tried and tried to pull his hand away, he had decided he did not want anymore done. It was heartbreaking. I was cuddling him and holding his hand and he was holding Daddy's hand, but none of it helped. Poor poor thing! Just look at his face on this picture, and by then it was all over, it was just the bandage going back on now.

Well, the good thing is, it is all going to be OK, our doctor friend said that it was looking very good and we shouldn't need to see a doctor with it again. We have to keep the "boat" on it until next week, by then the broken bone should definitely be healed and otherwise to continue as before and just occasionally try and clean the scab off of it (I may well get Katrin's Mum to help me with that one!)
Iris was a bit worried, that Richard might not talk to her again, but he said he would as long as she doesn't go near his finger again, and I think when she gave him some stickers for his sticker book all was forgiven!

That I think was the most important part of today. Oh nice was our peace and quiet in the afternoon, Richard was learning new things at Kindergarden and Robert was playing at a friends! Wonder if that will happen again soon?!

Day 293 and Day 294

Day 293 - Saturday
We went shopping quite late in the morning to get a Xmas present for Florian's nephew, so that we could drop off all presents with Florian's sister and save on postage! We were planning on putting the bag on the terrace for them to find when they got back from their swimming trip (we were invited along too, but decided that it wouldn't be fair on Richard to let Robert go and not him. He had enough missing out whilst on holiday!) Well when we got there at 12.15 they hadn't even left. So we got to see them for 10 minutes or so. They still couldn't understand why we wouldn't let Robert go, but then again, they don't have to, that is our decision!

Back home we relaxed, Robert and I were playing a game of Qwirkle when Florian's sister phoned and said, they had finished swimming and were on their way to the bakers, did we want to come along...so off we went for a nice afternoon at the bakers, a much better idea for Richard and Robert.

In the evening Florian and I had a pizza when the boys were in bed, and then we played Qwirkle together, whilst watching the X Factor. Despite Florian's shocking cold it was a nice evening!

Oh nearly forgot my picture. Richard loves his camera, he takes a lot of videos of his favourite programmes on TV and then when up in his room or on longer car journeys he watches them...I thought it was time I got a shot of him doing so!

Day 294 - Sunday
Today Robert, Richard and I headed off to my nieces birthday party. We left Florian and his bad cold at home, with some peace and quiet! (although he did pop around to Katrin's to try and fix their computer!)

We were invited around for Brunch and it was delicious. My SIL had made lots of delicious food, but these chaps were the cutest!!

I didn't get many pictures I was too busy sat out in the garden - HONEST! it was beautiful out, Lee has a very protected garden it seems and there was no wind, just beautiful sunshine, so we really were able to sit out without coats!
I did get a couple of shots of the birthday girls showing us how rugby is played!

Day 292

Once Richard was at Kindergarden this morning, I wanted to call a doctor to get an appointment for Richard for Monday to have the stitches out. There was me worrying about which doctor to choose, seeing as ours is not around, when in the end I ended up having to call SEVEN doctors before I found one that would see him. By the time I got to number 4 I was crying with frustration between calls. Oh well the doctor I have now found is also a specialist for hands, so maybe as Florian said, all the other 6 doctors hadn't got time for me, so that I got to the Hand specialist! We'll see on Monday!
After I found a doctor for Richard, I then had to find one for Florian he needed a prescription  for some more physiotherapy for his back. Our doctor prescribes it every 10-12 weeks without seeing him, but would a strange doctor do that for us...well, I found one in the next village and although I had to see and talk to the doctor, we did get a prescription. Next though we will have to find a new doctor.

After lunch - I made a roast dinner, now if only I could get my gravy to taste like Mum's!!! - we picked Florian up at the station he was home early this weekend! :o)
At 3 o'clock a lot of my friends came by and we set about setting up the barn for the Halloween Disco on the 29th. The picture of course doesn't do it justice, but this will be the disco (and was our garage!)

We don't have much more to do, so our next bit of work for Halloween won't be until the end of next week. When we got back in, we found both boys (who had run ahead) laying in front of the log fire. By the time Florian got the camera only Richard was there but isn't he cute!

Florian (and Hans) have been looking for a solution to a problem with my computer (something to do with the sound eating up my memory that it uses to work....don't ask) so far with no luck, apparently the problem has existed for half a decade and no one yet has posted a solution and Microsoft don't seem to care...so I have two not so happy chappies around tonight! Thanks for your help, Hans!

Day 291

This morning I cancelled the English lesson at Kindergarden, there was only half of the kids there cause of the school holidays, so next week, we'll be back in full swing! Instead Robert and I went to Aldi, Katrin had asked me to get her a pair of snow trousers which were on offer from today, well I was there at 9.30am and already there were none left! Must have been really busy there at 8am!

When we got home, Sabine and Katrin were already busy turning the garage into a Halloween Disco - no pictures yet, I want to surprise Florian first! ;o)

Robert, Richard and I had a really quiet afternoon, just enjoying one another's company. First we played my new game! Yep, I used one of my hard-earnt Amazon vouchers (filling in questionnaires!) and bought us Qwirkle. We had a great time, and I can't wait for Florian to come home so we can a) all play together and b) me and Florian play on our own!
Whilst Robert and I were playing the first game, Richard decided to "make something" - and he then took a picture of it, which I must show Daddy, so here it is!

This is a bouncy pencil top! He saw Mr. Maker make it yesterday on TV so today he made his own, and as he couldn't find the googly eyes, he was creative and used some more pompoms! Don't you just love how creative he is!

This evening I had some TV catching up to do, cause the third part of the series was on, and I still hadn't seen Part 2. So I got a double bill tonight, and it was great, can't wait for the conclusion next week! And as I hadn't taken a picture today I got Lucky to pose for me! The scratch on his nose is nearly gone now!

Day 290

Richard went back to Kindergarden today, he was really worried about it, but once there as soon as he saw his mates all was OK. And when I picked him up again at 12 he had had a GREAT time he told me! Robert and I had been at home, and before I started tackling the ever-growing pile of ironing, we had a game of Yahtzee. Robert won hands down, he got TWO yahtzees and as my eagle eye was always watching, he did it without a spot of cheating! Here he is proud as punch of his yahtzee!

He did get a third yahtzee (supposedly the first of three) when I went to the toilet, but I told him before I went that I would not count it if he got a yahtzee whilst I was gone. Maybe it really was a real one...

In the afternoon it was more planning for Halloween, I think we are all set now, we'll see!
At teatime their creative side got the better of the boys and me, being me, obliged and took pictures of their creations for Daddy to see! (Cause we can't keep them to show Daddy, Mummy, they would go off!)

Day 289

We had a breakfast date today, with a girl from my work, who we met through our swimming course last year. She is American and is bringing her kids up bilingually too, the only difference really is, that her kids prefer German to English. Well this morning her little boy was chatting away to mine in English, so that was a good start. We all had a good time, and as soon as I have worked out my new schedule after the holidays we will be making another playdate for us all!

This afternoon Katrin popped round and the kids had a great time playing in the garden, whilst we all sorted out the Halloween decorations. Party time in 10 days and we have yet to get started. But we'll do it, I'm sure!

Whilst out in the garden, the kids got our big garden basket and collected up all the apples (at least all of them on the right side of the garden), so I treated my two to tea time in the lounge! They were over the moon, here they are mesmerised by Mr. Maker!

Day 288

Richard didn't want to go to Kindergarden today, and I didn't force him as tomorrow we have a breakfast date at the bakers! But on Wednesday he has promised to go back without a fight. He is frightened about seeing his friends again. I don't really think it is because he thinks his friends will laugh at his finger, I think he is worried about being the centre of attention, he really has never liked that! I promised that I would stay with him to explain it all to his friends, so it should go smoothly on Wednesday!

Changing his bandage this morning went very smoothly today, thank goodness. Now I am just a bit worried by his temperature being up at bit this afternoon, so I'll be keeping my eye on that, and if his finger looks any different when I change the dressing tomorrow, then we will be visiting the doctor!

Other than that we had a nice day together, in the morning we went shopping and the boys were pretty well behaved in Aldi. When we walked past the minced meat they both asked for "Nanna's spaghetti" for lunch, so that it what we had - Nanna's spaghetti made by Mummy!

In the afternoon we played a round of Rummikub and then Richard wouldn't let me forget that I had promised they could paint. So we did. Here they are making their light sabres (Starwars!!!)

Tomorrow I'll try and get a picture of them in use, today they just did a lot of drying off! They look pretty good!

Day 285, Day 286 and Day 287

Day 285 - Friday
Our last day at Center Parcs, we had promised Robert that we would go swimming with him. So Richard was with Mum and Dad that morning. BUT I joined them not long after leaving them to go swimming. I went in the water with Florian and Robert and we all swam a couple of lengths of the pool, Robert is improving a lot. Then we went to go in the pool where the current takes you round and round, it was off so we were waiting and Robert was playing with some friends he had made during the week, and my face got redder and redder and redder. It was as if I had been drinking alcohol, so I decided that it was time I left the pool. Robert and Florian stayed and tried and tested all the slides again and again.

I found Mum, Dad and Richard quite easily, they hadn't left the Market Dome and were sat at the Café. Richard was as good as gold, first he was playing on Mum's Ipod, then he did some colouring in, went on the stepping stones (didn't fall in this time) and then we played a game of UNO. Mum and Dad left at about 12 to try and miss the traffic on their way home.

When Florian and Robert came out of the pool, we spent the pennies on the airhockey, cars and Hummer then had lunch at the snack bar there. Here are my boys and their ice creams.

After lunch it was time for Part 2 of our holiday, we drove to see Dinphy and family. It was like we had never been apart, the kids were straight upstairs to see where Tommie and Lisa's rooms were, and we didn't see them for quite a while! Too cute how they all get along! Or maybe that would be better as "how WE all get along"!

We all played Rummikub in the evening, and I don't know what it is, but if I am playing with Dinphy and Hans, I always seem to win, sorry guys! But I hope you had fun anyways, I did, but then I did win!

Day 286 - Saturday
The kids were all up nice and bright and early and this is how I found them when I came downstairs, too cute!

After breakfast all the kids went outside to play and we all sat around and chatted and decided on what we were going to see. We decided on a Play Forest nearby, which I had seen on Dinphy's desktop picture! We all got lots of pictures there, Dinphy's are still downloading, so only mine on the blog today

From there it was a trip to McDonalds for lunch, then back to Dinphy's where the kids again played outside! They got a lot of fresh air on Saturday! And we got lots of time to chat. We had tea there too, then at 7pm it was time for us to leave. Our drive went quite smoothly until somewhere near Dortmund, where we hit the only bit of traffic news - a 5km traffic jam, those 5km cost us almost an hour! and we arrived home at 1am.

Day 287 - Sunday

We finished unpacking and putting things away in the morning, and in the afternoon we all relaxed. Florian and the boys (and me too, if I am honest) watched Star Wars 2, then afterwards played their Lego games all joined up (I cooked whilst that was going on).

The only hiccup today was this morning when I changed Richards bandage, the bit that goes directly on the wound got stuck to it. Luckily Katrin was round and knew what to do, and she was a big help, and Richard didn't suffer too much! She has also brought around a different sort of plaster, as what we have seems much too sticky, it takes forever to get it off! So hopefully tomorrow Richard won't have to suffer the plaster stickiness, we'll see!

And here is someone who can't stop purring, cause we are home. He is very cuddly and I think he is as pleased to see us, as we are to see him!

Day 284

After it rained all day yesterday it was nice to get up to dry and sunny weather. At 9am I dashed across to the info desk and registered Robert & Richard for the Kids Club "Wannabe a Park Ranger". That started at 10am. They got dressed up there as Park Rangers and then off the went looking for animals in the Market Dome and at Discovery Bay. this is them right before they set off!

And this is Richard in his element!

After lunch, Richard asked if they could go back to Discovery Bay, so we all did! We had their swimming things with us, and the boys were able to play to their hearts content in the sand and pretend sea. We wrapped Richard's hand up in a plastic bag, so that he didn't get any sand or water on his finger, and it worked perfectly.

Whilst we were sat there watching them and the people on the High Wire Experience, Florian decided that he would try the High Wire Experience too. This is my "before" picture!

And then this happened...

Frightened all of us I think, apparently his hands decided that gripping the rope wasn't for them after all, and he just couldn't hold on anymore. He hang there for what seemed like forever and then a man came and rescued him, and lowered him down to the floor.

I think that was enough excitement for me for one holiday. I don't need anymore, thank you very much!

In the evening the boys went on the Halloween Kids Parade, where they all got Wizards' hats!

Then we went for a meal, Florian skipped both the Parade and the meal, he needed to recover from the rescue mission! He is fine now, but it will be a while before his muscles stop hurting I think!
